Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Arts & Culture, Military & Veterans Organizations, Performing Arts Centers, Veterans
Mission: Veterans Repertory Theater provides a platform for talented veterans to create compelling live theater and events in order to enhance, enliven and invigorate American theater and live performance arts.
Results: In 2022, our first year, VetRep showcased over 75 veteran performing and visual artists from across the country through the Savage Wonder Festival, Savage WonderGround micro-festival in Alexandria, VA, the weekly podcast, and our daily literary blog. We awarded $25,000 in grants to veteran playwrights, welcomed 2 playwrights into the Artists-in-Residence program, conducted 2 workshops of veterans’ plays, and presented 30 performances at The Parlor.
Target demographics: Current or former: US military, law enforcement, fire service, EMS, foreign service, intelligence service, DoD employee, DoD Contractor AND their immediate family members

Geographic areas served: Based in Cornwall, NY, serving veterans across the nation
Programs: 1) Annual Playwriting Competitions: we asses, develop, and produce talented veteran playwrights' work 2) Savage Wonder: we produce a daily literary blog, weekly podcast, and regular micro-festivals showcasing veterans in the arts 3) The Parlor on Quaker Avenue: we provide weekly low-cost professional live theater for the local Cornwall, NY area
