Causes: Health, Health Support
Mission: To provide massage and compassionate touch to people with cancer and their caregivers, to support them through the physical and emotional challenges of a life-threatening or life-changing illness, and to offer it at no charge.
Target demographics: people with cancer and their caregivers
Direct beneficiaries per year: More than 220 individuals and provide over 1,200 sessions.
Geographic areas served: Upper Valley, Western New Hampshire, Southern and Central Vermont
Programs: The Hand to Heart Project, the sole program of NH-VT Palliative Services, provides free, in-home massage therapy and compassionate touch to people dealing with cancer.
