I am new to this non profit group funding. This organization helps out 9 non-profit groups in the area. The organization that I work for has been helped by CACF for many years. We serve youth of the community and teach them leadership and citizenship. We bring leaders together and train them and give them the materials that they need to make the youth successful. CACF helps us to bring quality programs to our youth and provide them the opportunity to grow. Thank you CACF for all that you do for our youth!
The Colfax & Community Fund has been providing the funding for Colfax's 8th graders to attend a 2-day ROPES Challenge Course in Elberton, WA. This funding for our non-profit has been the catalyst by which we offer a dynamic, life-changing event for these kids. They come back to the classroom energized, more respectful of their fellow classmates and realizing the true potential within themselves. Without the Colfax & Community Fund (C&CF) to support the 8th graders, these kids would be facing a more unprepared social transition to high school and possible pressures to engage in high risk behaviors. The generosity from the Colfax community shows their commitment to social programs helping make life better for its citizens. Working with the C&CF committee has been a true pleasure and an honor!
CACF brings together 9 non-profits that serve Colfax, WA, and the surrounding area for a single fund-raising event. The board is all volunteer. Representatives from each member organization are expected to attend meetings and events. Members of the public are welcome to be members at large on the board or a part of the distribution committee. By working together to raise funds, we reduce the number of mailings received by businesses and individuals, and allow them to donate to 9 organizations with one check. Less than 6 percent of the money raised goes to administrative costs of the organization. The rest all goes to the member non-profits.
