Mission: Bloomfield Main Street preserves and revitalizes the historic commercial district through business improvement, while maintaining and promoting the architectural, cultural and economic heritage of the community.
Programs: Facade improvement program - the city of bloomfield, bloomfield main street and iowa historic preservaton commisssion working together to provide financial incentive to property owners and business people within downtown area to assist them in restoring and rehabiliting their property. Primary object is to revitalize the downtown district by preserving and restoring the existing buildings. Promotion of economic development by providing financial incentive to encourage occupany of commercial buildings within the tax increment financing district.
