I spent over two months living in Kenya to gain hands-on experience to prepare me for a career in public service. My internship at African Institute for Children Studies (AICS) included participation in different projects and initiatives related to Child Domestic Work, including Freedom Work, Localization, and primarily the Scholar Leader Program. The experiences I gained from engaging with people from diverse cultures and communities broadened my worldview and enabled me to develop a true appreciation for them. The organization is doing excellent work, and I hope they can continue making a positive impact!

We had no christmas gifts or food for the kids and the Ceo went out of her way to make sure all five kids had toys she gave us gift cards, food, clothing what a wonderful organization what good people they are as a matter of fact how I met her she was out at the mall giving out so many toys and gift cards and food to people that was in need of theses wonderful gifts keep doing what you do because you are making a difference and you have thank you forever I hope you see this review. I'm sorry it took so long to write one I have been busy over the months and I had you on my mind smiles.

Wow! What a wonderful organization. My 86 year old mother is visiting from Pennsylvania for a few weeks and her balance is a bit off. We just borrowed a transport chair and a seated walker from the Southwest Lending Closet. The staff were very polite and efficient and the process was fast and easy. Now my mother can enjoy the beautiful weather and more fully enjoy her visit. I will be making a donation to this very needed and worthwhile organization!

I have been working with DeeCilla for a year now and it has truly been a blessing! Being able to help these women and children and being able to see their growth and their willingness to succeed has been unmatched. DeeCilla Comfort Center is truly a blessing not only in the lives of the people they help, but to everyone that is in contact with this organization.

In the news about taking dogs from one shelter and dumping in another county shelter.

We have had a long history with this organization. My girls loved participating and their personal growth was evident in being afraid to be in the public eye after dancong with this group. They continue to be a positive opportunity for all those that participate one on one or who have the opportunity to watch them.

URRKN is the worst in the country. They do not save any kittens. They are not a rescue. They are a mere paper pusher who collects big $$$ in donations from folks who think they rescue cats. They don't. All the money they get and it is in the thousands goes toward home office, equipment???, supplies???travel?????? not any goes to vet bills, shelters, fosters, humane societies or even to the high kill shelters in their own backyard. They are nothing but corrupt. They use all unpaid volunteers to do all the work. No one is paid. See their 990 tax filings. Then you will see this is a $$$ hook. Ask for an accounting of the funds and your question is deleted, and then you are blocked, banned from the URRKN page. No answers or transparency there. They have delivered sick kittens, was the direct cause of the death of 1 adopters own cats, lost cats, had cats taken off their "trains" which is illegal and all the while going on as if no big deal. Taking a cat off a transport is a felony. URRKN's words for one such incident was "well the important thing is it got a loving home anyway". Of course the person who took the cat off the transport apologized to URRKN and offered $$$. No charges were ever filed. Talk about corrupt. This is the one.
