If I could give this organization 20 stars, I would! <br><br>After moving to Arroyo Grande from the Bay Area, where I was fortunate to work and volunteer at various therapeutic facilities and horse rescues, I was eager to continue my passion for equine wellness. As a certified Masterson Method Equine Specialist, I sought opportunities to contribute to the equine community and found Healing Heroes Through Horsemanship.<br><br>I signed up to volunteer on weekends, helping with barn chores and offering bodywork to the herd. However, my experience here has been so much more than I expected.<br><br>From my very first visit, I was deeply impressed by the horsemanship on display. The effort required to give Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds a second chance is no small feat, and I admire Yvette and Simon's dedication to training these horses to engage positively with humans. Their commitment to supporting at-risk veterans and first responders is truly inspiring.<br><br>I’ve had the privilege of spending time with some participants in the program, and it’s clear how transformative this experience has been for them. The sense of purpose and confidence they gain is remarkable, and witnessing a part of their journeys has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my volunteering.<br><br>I am excited to see what the future holds for Healing Heroes Through Horsemanship. I have no doubt that they will continue to grow and make a significant impact in our community, helping more veterans, first responders, and horses find healing and purpose together.

These folks take tremendous care of each and every donkey or mule that comes their way! Medical, health, feeding, exercise and lots of attention is showered on all the abused and neglected burros they rescue. This is a place worthy of everyone’s consideration and visit. To see the burros in person is a rare treat! This rescue certainly is a tremendous cause to advance and donate to. God speed!

There’s passion in this non-profit, and so much care into the lives of these animals who came from different backgrounds. Greener pastures provides home and hospitality and being apart of the team that offers that hospitality brings me joy everyday. Everyone including myself brings in love and care for each animal, and I am proud to be apart of that.

I want to thank Robert and everything he does to teach us old Veterans how to become homeowners. No one has ever take the time to teach me about the VA Home Loan and for Robert to do it means a lot. Thank you Robert and Welcome Home Military Heroes for providing this service!!

Puppy raising for Doggie Does good was one of my most rewarding accomplishments. Doggie Does good helped me every step of the way, providing me with the proper tools and necessities required for the job, along with helpful information and tips regarding the successful longevity of the raising of the puppy. Unfortunately, the puppy I was raising did not meet the proper criteria for the program, so DDG reached out to me offering me the opportunity to keep her. Mia is now doing great and she is one of my best friends!

Valley View Adventist Junior Academy is an excellent school!<br><br>Our daughters (2) attended Valley View from 1st through 10th grades. The teachers are excellent! They were always available to talk with me about how my girls were doing and what could help them succeed. When we had concerns, the teachers and principal listened and worked with us to create the best outcomes possible. The staff "went the extra mile" every time. They are active in making sure their students learn to the best of their ability. <br><br>My husband and I noticed that anytime one of our daughter's classmates transferred to the local public school, even if the classmate earned "C's" or "D's" at Valley View, the student was always placed in the honor classes in their new school. <br><br>Our girls received a top education and benefitted from many extra educational fieldtrips and arts opportunities. Both daughters are college graduates, one with a master's degree and the other is working toward her masters.<br><br><br><br>

<br>Everyday church is the healthiest church that I have attended. <br>Love is the focus and stopping for the one is the first priority. World vision is shared with this body.Jesus Christ runs this church not man.

I became involved in Camp Fire when my daughter was in second grade, at which time I joined the board, <br>we are both still involved after 36 years. We are working with three groups now. I feel the organization has much to offer the children of our area I am sorry more are not taking advantage of the opportunity. My daughter and I like the small groups. Children can make friends and get positive interaction with adults and peers. We plan a camp once a year for any clubs in the Central Coast area who wish to attend. I think everyone has a good time, learns how to cooperate and make new friends.

The South County Education Foundation supports teachers in the Lucia Mar Unified school district. They do this in the form of "mini-grants" that teachers can apply for to pay for materials or projects that are not covered by district funds. As a former teacher (now an administrator) I used their grants more than once. They are a group worthy of support.
