I'm amazed by the positive & life changing impact Snowbird Outfitters, Inc. has had and continues to have on the lives of today's youth. Their love for Christ and commitment to confront students with the life-changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through teaching, recreation and personal relationships is unbelievable. Both my son and daughter attended camp this summer for the first time and I can say without reservation that they returned changed. They keep talking about their experiences and can't wait to return next summer. Thank You Snowbird for your commitment to Christ and obedience in serving him in the camp ministry.

My first experience with Snowbird was in 1998 when I volunteered for a week of land clearing and construction. I could sense right away that this place was marked by God and chosen for a special purpose. I continued going back each year to visit and volunteer, having just a small part in this great work always brought great encouragement to me. My volunteering eventually lead to being asked to serve as a board memeber. This new role has brought on new tasks and opportunities which are often very challenging but always worth it, it's been a great pleasure to serve and work alongside so many who are commited to Jesus Christ.
Looking back now I'm amazed to see and reflect on how God chose a few ordinary and faithful people, gave them an undevelped creek bottom and a vision for youth ministry and then worked faithfully through them to do such big things. AWESOME!

Snowbird Wildernes Outfitters continues to excel at impacting the lives of teenagers. Their dedicated staff creates environments where teenagers are challenged physically, mentally, and spiritually. They truly desire to relate to students on a one on one basis for development. I have never experienced an organization more able to remain passionate and intentional in developing today's teens.

Snowbird Outfitters is an incredible organization focused on challenging teenagers physically, spiritually, and in leadership. Snowbird has impressed me through its emphasis on relationships. It maintains a low, staff to client ratio which allows for more 1 on 1 mentoring to develop students. They also commit to maintaining these relationships through personal contact; email, facebook, texting, etc, well after your visit. This is well above the normal expectation for this type of organization.
I have attended many other youth development programs but none have provided such a wide array of opportunities to reach large numbers of students. Each student is at a different level of maturity, has different interests, and learns in different ways. Snowbird works hard to provide something for everyone to connect all students with an experience. Whether, high-adventure, relaxing times, recreation, drama, music, or teaching there is something for everyone. These are provided in a high-quality format which does not compromise the focus.
The most impacting thing about Snowbird Outfitters is the personal impact they have had on my family. My children love Snowbird and are even interested in becoming staff members there. Their counselors remain in contact with them, 3 years later, and have even invited them to weddings. I know that whatever has Snowbird's name attached will be quality, relational, and impacting.

I have been to Snowbird Wilderness two times as a chaperone with out church's youth group, and my husband has been twice as a chaperone. Snowbird is a wonderful place!!! The staff cares about each and every child, and the youth feel they are loved and valued. The youth make life-long friends with the staff and stay in touch. There is always plenty to do at Snowbird; they definitely keep you busy the whole time. The worship experience is awesome!!! You can definitely feel the God's presence at Snowbird! Many youth make the decision to follow Jesus Christ by going to Snowbird. I highly recommend Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters! I plan to chaperone again soon if I am able.

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is a great nonprofit organization for youth. The leaders and counselors take so much time with the kids to get to know them; they truly love each and every child who comes to these camps. My daughter is a special needs child who looks so forward to going to Snowbird each year. My daughter can be a handful because she gets so excited, but these counselors are wonderful with her. They are so patient and understanding, and my daughter feels loved and accepted. The leaders and counselors are sharing the love of Christ, and I know His love is in each and every one involved with Snowbird.

I've been going to Snowbird since I was in youth (17 yrs old)...I am now a 31 year old youth pastors wife & youth leader :) There is no other camp like Snowbird. The staff are exceptional, they take the time to get to know our students and push them past their comfort zones and after the week is over still have an interest in their lives! It has become a sanctuary for our students who don't "fit" in like the rest of the kids and meets students right where they need it! I recommend Snowbird to every person inquiring about a place to go where God is made real, not only to students, but adult leaders as well :) Their t-shirts are pretty stinkin awesome too ;)
There staff is fantastic. They take time to know each and every person who comes through there doors, and remembers them when they come back. They live for Christ and don't just talk. They do exactly what they say they will. Brody Holloway is absolutly amazing and keeps everyone and everything fun and organized.
thanks to brody and others at snowbird i have grown alot in my walk with Christ. and some of the things i once feared have left me. there outlook is awesome. i love that they support misssions 110%. LOVE U GUYS LOTS. Eric Crisp

Snowbird was AMAZING. God really spoke to me about the things I did and the way I was living my life. Deffinitly a life changing experience and I reccomend it for anyone who's up for a good time. (:

Snowbird is honestly the most life changing experience I have ever gone through. The leaders there build relationships with every camper that come through the camp. As soon as my church arrived there we were greeted with smiles and met many leaders that would be with us the entire visit. They talked about our personal life our relationship with God and other things. They even sat with us at meals and got us over our fears of the different events available to enjoy at the camp. The messages were all relatable and they did many skits and amazing worship services! The Snowbird staff even visits our church atleast once a year to vivsit with our youth. My church has been going to this for camp for five years now. There is an activity for everyone there and after all these years i still enjoy every visit more and more

I have three children that have been involved with SWO. My two oldest sons have gone on to become preachers and my youngest daughter has spent the past four years at camp. She hopes to become a camp counselor this summer. Over the course of 20 years that I have raised my four children, this has been the best influence by far. I cannot express how much this organization means to my life and the life of my children.

I have went to Snow Bird summer camp for several years. It is the only camp I consider bring my students to. It is the most impactful camp when it comes to spiritual break through and disciplship. The leaders there are pasionate and genuinly love our students.

SnowBird is a wonderful christian camp that is a safe place for kids to get away from the stress of life and grow closer to Jesus. At Snowbird there is a wonderful staff that is always willing to help and it is a wonderful experience. Snowbird has lots of fun activities that you can participate in, and there is never a dull moment at SnowBird!
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is a leader among youth summer camps. I attended as a youth member in the late 90's and all I can say about my experience at Snowbird is wow. It's really amazing what God is doing there. They are changing lives of young men and women like I have never seen. My life was changed after a week there and I have never been the same. The staff work very close to the campers providing a fun atmosphere that glorifies God.

I was a youth parent when I first attended summer camp with our church's youth group. This was before Snowbird even had real bathhouses-porta pottiess work but ugg. Anyway, the Bible studies, the lessons for the students were wonderful. The skits either crack you up or tear you up depending on their motive. My own children loved it. Once we were stuck in St. Maarten in the Carribean because a volcano had errupted and no planes could fly, but all my children could think about was that they were suppose to be at Camp Snowbird and they were missing it! Awesome leadership, sincere teachers of the word, and crazy fun is what I think of for Snowbird.
Snowbird is an amazing adventure of many sorts. Each staff member truly cares about impacting the lives of every individual. They are exceptionally passionate about reaching out to kids and enriching their lives. The devotion of the staff and the excitement and enjoyment of the camp's activities are, without a doubt, a life changing experience.

I have known about and been associated with Snowbird for about 10 years. My son has been there as a student volunteer and as a staff member .
I have been on campus many times at services and after services during "small group" times and watched as lives were literally changed including students and leaders'.
This is a "1st class' organization.
I was able to partner with Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters in a ministry capacity last year to help make an eternal difference in the lives of junior high and high school students. I've never before partnered with a group of people who were more passionate about impacting students' lives than the staff at SWO.
Snowbird does a great job at providing high-impact outdoor recreation for students in a fun and crazy environment while simultaneously providing personal discipleship and spiritual guidance.

My three kids had all been campers for years at SWO. Then two years ago I was a chaperon for our church Youth group and I was able to see first hand why my kids were so impressed with the whole SWO experience. The staff and counselors are genuinely interested in sharing the love of Christ with each camper, and they go to great lengths in expressing that love.
Snowbird is an amazing camp that has impacted thousands of kids. They sacrifice so much to invest in the next generation. They make sure that each student is reached in one way or another.
Snowbird Outfitters is a light in the Andrews community. The staff at Snowbird are known by all the highschool kids for their stand for Christ. Staff members are eagar to help any in capacity and always with a servants heart.
Snowbird has a very special place in my family's heart by being an inspiration to my two daughters!

I have been to Snowbird several times for summer camp and once during Spring Break to help with missions projects. I can honestly say that I've never been to a camp like Snowbird before. The sermons, music, recreational activities, opportunities for fellowship, relatable staff, and awesome skits create an atmosphere that campers thoroughly enjoy and desire to partipate in. Any person, no matter where he is in his walk with Christ, can grow from Snowbird in some way. The recreational activities inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and trust Christ to help me complete tasks that I was truly afraid of, such as the Goliath Swing. I also remember we paired up with someone we didn't know and shared our testimonies with that person. I have gone to church my whole life, but I don't think I'd ever actually shared my life story with anyone like that before.
I have visited Snowbird on one ocassion for a men's retreat and immediately made plans for my next trip, which is coming up on March 11, 2011. The facilities were very nice, the grounds were clean and beautiful. I received great spiritual encouragement anf have seven friends returning with me this year. The break out learning sessions and recreational events were extremely powerful and relaxing.
I would refer any of my friends or youth groups to this camp.
SWO is a great camp. The activities and recreation make this camp the most flexible and fun a student can have. The staff is what sets this camp apart from all other youth church camps. They hire a large staff to student ratio and that means that college students are trying to engage your students in conversation to help point them to Christ and help them understand the world from a Biblical perspecitve.
As a youth pastor I appreciate the logs that the staff fills out and the camp mails to me as a follow up. It helps me know understand and love my students even better.
Best youth camp I have ever been to!!

Snowbird is definitely a doctrine centered ministry. Students leave after a week having learned so much about who Christ is and what it looks like to follow Him. They also leave having learned about what their own relationship with Christ looks like. All while keeping kids entertained with the high advnture recs.

SWO has truly impacted my life. I worked at SWO for several years and know quality of the people in leadership and the quality of the ministry that takes place at SWO.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is all about sharing the love of Jesus Christ with young people who need attention, understanding, love and a Savior. My daughter worked as a counselor there one summer and grew more spiritually and in compassion for others than she had in all of her previous years I believe. While ministering to others full-time, she gained a lifetime experience that set the stage for the remainder of her life.
Our entire family visited the camp and saw first hand the extreme challenges and offerings that are given to the campers. My son has just become a youth minister in Virginia and has as one of his goals to get his "city-grown" youth to experience the growing process at Snowbird - soon!
We praise the Lord that ordinary people like the creators of Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters have granted extraordinary experiences to so many children.
I got know Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters through my daughter who volunteered there for 2 years. I have had the opportunity to visit many times. I was truly amazed by the dedication of the staff and their families in serving the youth that attend there and to serving our Lord and Savior. The camp opens their beautiful camp grounds for so many to enjoy. The recreational activities are very adventurous and offer new experiences to many people, including myself. I am not usually one for much adventure, but was talked into riding their three man swing (which is a large, very high swing). I loved every min! The staff also does a wonderful job pouring their all into the worship, teaching, and making their skits very unique and powerful. Snowbird has definitely left a positive impression in my life and I have been able to see it positively affect others as well. Also, recently, I experienced a challenging time of illness. The staff and families at Snowbird supported me through love, prayers and encouraging notes and calls. Their care for me and my family truly meant a lot.
Review from Guidestar
SNOWBIRD has been an extraordinary blessing to me and to those I serve. By going above and beyond the call of duty to meet the needs of those they are serving, they have affectively raised the bar—setting a new high standard for how an organization should be run, and how people should be served. In ever aspect of their service, they have one simple and simultaneously daunting goal: Meet as many needs of as many people in as many ways as possible.
SNOWBIRD has been a vital part of what I do as a student pastor. They not only provide the students with top notch facilities and quality activities, but they make the planning process as stress free as possible. Taking students out of state is the most stressful part of my job, but my workers and I relish the times at SNOWBIRD. It is a time where we can be refreshed and connect with our students. Not enough can be said about SNOWBIRD WILDERNESS OUTFITTERS. It truly is a joy to spend time with people who not only love what they do, but that love the God and people they do it for. At SNOWBIRD everyone is family.

I was a camp counselor for Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters the summer of 2008. I grew in my relationship with the Lord and I loved fellowshiping with other believers through worship. I enjoyed being around teenagers and being a mentor to them. SWO challenged me to grow spiritually to love others no matter what.
Attended a service that Brody Holloway spoke at and was blown away by his unyielding delivery of the Gospel. He is a great speaker with a true heart for God and the movement of the Gospel into the world.
My wife and I have attended a couples weekend for the past three years and we absolutely love it. I am impressed with how the staff loves the Lord and it shows in everything they do. The teaching is biblical and practical for my marriage. The staff really cares about helping in every way for my marriage to work and go beyond. The atmosphere is wonderful and the sleeping arrangements are good too. We are well taken care of when if comes to food. I enjoy the skills/fun time with my wife. I feel safe and that they are competent in what they do. I can't wait to go back each year and take more people with us.
Fun place to learn and grow in Christ.
Filled with activities that challenge in levels and ways that are far from the norm.

My husband and I have been to SWO for the Couples Marriage retreat and also our son has been there for summer camp as well. SWO is such an inspiring place to be challenged in your faith to do real work for God and also a place for discipleship, education and growth in The Word.
We feel so blessed to have access to a place that is working for The Kingdom!

I have been apart of Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters for 5 years now. it is one of the best places I have ever been a part of. It has not only changed my life but many people involved in my every day life. It has started a ripple affect in my community like I have never seen before. It was at snowbird I choose my direction in life and the staff there helped me understand my purpose in life.
One thing I know that would make Snowbird a better place and camp, is if they had the money to pay staff members more. Also if it was possible to have more people in 1 summer then they have currently.

This is a tremendous camp and I am so grateful for them. I have been bringing students to Snowbird for over 10 years. In 12+ years of student ministry I have seen tons of camps and none really compare to Snowbird. This camp is filled with solid teaching, tons of recreation, and well trained staff. Students are able to easily find recreation that appeals to them, and staff that are able to relate to them no matter where they are in life. This camp also communicates and partners with churches like none I have ever seen. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a camp!

Snowbird Outfitters is an exceptional, God-filled ministry reaching out to the hearts of pre-teens, teens, and young adults. They have every kind of activity you could want to have a fun-filled week of camp, but, more importantly, they have a staff called of God to share the Gospel and the life-changing hope of Jesus Christ.
Our church's youth group got involed with SWO nearly 7 years ago, i think and it has changed many of their lives. I accuse my own sons of going to Mt. Sinai when they go to SWO because they come back with the radiance of the Lord. I think combining incredible sporting opportunities with intense Bible study and emphasis on personally knowing Christ is a genius idea. It is unique in drawing the male crowd which usually don't participate in typical "church camps." Keep up the wonderful work for the Kingdom, SWO.
Snowbird is the best place for young adults to create leadership and learn to walk with Jesus. I have been a guest at Snowbird several times and each time I come away witha renewed sense of Gods love for his creations. I recommend Snowbird to everyone!!!

My son has experienced SWO for two summers and both times came home hearing from the Lord and experiencing the Lord on an intimate level. That to me, as a parent, is priceless! I have known several youth then feel the need to serve during the summer when they came of age to volunteer. To me SWO has encouraged the youth to grow spiritually and to stand on the front lines for Him. I have seen tremendous growth coming from our youth due to the impact of SWO.
The added bonus to SWO is all the activities they provide for the children. It truly is an experience that they will NEVER forget!
My experience with Snowbird began many years ago...don't actually remember the year ,but it was before they started the summer camps and had the winter weekend retreats in the barn....my guess is 2000.It was an unbelievable spiritual adventure. We bunked in the barn, had sandwiches there, went over to Cataloochee to ski.But the awesome thing was the staff and their instant connection to the students. Steve Coleman and Brody quickly caught, and kept, the interest of the youth. We went home refreshed and full of God's spirit. I was super excited when my youth group expressed an interest in going to Snowbird's summer camp . What a change! The staff has worked so hard to create the perfect setting ...with a lot of help from The Great Creator!! Again, the atmosphere was electric with passion for the Word. Steve and Brody do not mince words..they teach the Biblical Truth, but in a way that young people find challenging and positive. The camp itself is awesome. The one-on-one with counselors was inspired, and my young people found new friends and new role-models the week in Andrews. I commend Steve Coleman and his staff for remaining true to their vision. The adventures are awesome...loved puddle -jumping and even the Zip-line...the music was fabulous...the skits dynamic...and the drama at the end of the week was magnificant!! If ever an organization deserved acclaim and support it is Snowbird...our young people are hungry for the foundation it supplies so beautifully!
My life has been touched by snowbird an so many ways!!! To see that there are Godly men and women out there that want to love on other teenagers in a purely Godly way, just blows my mind. They have the best youth and leadership!!! I have seen teens change thier lives from a week at Snowbird and have seen adults decide to give it all to Christ because of the work that they do!!
Members of Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters have been blessing the children, staff and volunteers of Orphanage Emmanuel in Guaimaca, Honduras, for many years. Team members come with hearts ready to serve Jesus in any way asked of them. They particularly enjoy ministering to our teenagers by leading Bible studies, organizing exciting activities and leading worship services. Several team members have even returned to Emmanuel to serve as longer term volunteers. We are thankful for Snowbird's participation in our ministry.

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is absolutely amazing. My youngest son, Seth, attended a camp at SWO the summer of 2010. Seth has always been very quiet and reserved and was not at all interested in attending a camp where he did not know anyone. But in April 2010, his older brother, whom he was very close to, was killed in a tragic accident. Our family was devastated but attempted to trust God through our hurt and confusion. Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters invited Seth and his cousin to attend camp in May 2010. Seth was very apprehensive but attended with encouragement from our family. What he found when he arrived was an awesome team of caring people that loved the Lord and embraced Seth as if they had always known him. Seth's healing began the day he arrived at Snowbird and he came back a new teenager. He continues to grow in his faith and understanding and I can't begin to express the gratitude we have for Snowbird and their staff. They truly are dedicated and continue to practice what they preach.

I was a chaperone of my son's 8th grade class that went to Snowbird for several days. Wow. The hearts of the people there are tremendous. And they relate (deliberately) to the students in great fashion. I thought at first that maybe they wouldnt but they engaged with the students and made friendships and realtionships that revolved around Jesus in such unique ways.
Their skits and worship were over the top - really making you think and trust God. Watching 8th graders rasie their hands in worship brought tears to my eyes!
The fun parts were just as cool - rafting, jumping off a pole, swinging high in the air - I think I had more fun than some of the kids!
Great place!
Just wanted to take a minute to tell you about my experience with Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters. From the first phone call thru the final departure at SWO, the staff helped us. They made registering for camp a simple process. They helped us come up with funding ideas and then they worked with our youth daily to insure a great time at Snowbird. they made each of us feel special. I had the opportunity to spend time one on one with several staff members, just talking about our youth and what was happening with them.

I chaperoned a youth group trip to SWO in summer of 2010. The entire youth group had an amazing experience. The SWO staff is knowledgeable, engaged, and energetic. The events, programming, and facilities are among the best we've ever experienced. Snowbird's policy of one on one interaction and small group involvement engenders an intimate setting for youth to open up, share, and grow in their relationships with Christ. We had five youth give their lives to Christ that week and many others come to a closer relationship with Him. I have recommended SWO to many others, and will continue to encourage my church to continue to attend this camp every year.

I have gone to Snowbird since I was in middle school. I am now a sophomore in college and this ministry continues to have an effect on my life. The people there are very relational and make you feel right at home. Snowbird offers many fun activities for the campers and it is a huge drawing card for groups every year.
My husband and I attended their yearly couples marriage retreat in 2009/2010. Our 2 teenagers attended their youth summer camp in 2010. Of course we liked being able to check them out before our kids came up. Let us just say that Snowbird is so much more than a retreat or a camp, it is truly a real life changing experience. The staff have such an amazing radical love for Jesus. The scenery is beautiful in the mountains. The adventures are great. The best part of all..God is there. We have all been challenged as a family to grow spiritually..what a blessing! Also would like to add that some of the staff come on the road and recently spent the weekend here in our hometown making Discipleship Now at the local high school a success, yes they came all the way from North Carolina to our little small town of Perry Florida...600 miles just to spend the weekend with our kids. The guys and girls stayed in our homes and did bible study with our youth group. They did skits for our kids Friday nite, played with our kids Saturday with recreational games. They continued bible study with our kids for Sunday school. They lead praise and worship with their band ,Brody preached at our church Sunday, what an amazing service. They all touched our hearts in this community. I don't know of another group more that is more set apart and conformed to the image of Christ than the amazing staff at Snowbird. Or anyone more deserving, they are real servants of Christ.

Professional, Christ-centered, Servant hearted outdoor wilderness camp describes the ministry of SWO. Snowbird has provided a safe, loving, and fun environment for myself and my students in the past to enjoy the outdoors as well as learn about God's great outdoors. Over the years of attending SWO I have experienced students growing more interested in God's creation and much more so in the gospel. At a time in my life that I felt isolated and in need of companionship, the staff of SWO surrounded me with great love and support.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is a great Bible based, Bible taught youth camp. It is solid in the word of God. It has great activities to which appeals to youth, and while there enjoying them, they are exposed to God's Word on a continual basis during the day. It is a life changing week for anyone who visits. Can't wait to return each summer.

I was first introduced to SWO 11 years ago, when I myself was in high school. God used this non-profit to explain His radical love for me through the person of Jesus Christ. I met folks who authentically loved Him and me. Over the years, I developed close friendships with many of the long term staff who continue to be a source of encouragement. For example, I now work for another non-profit in response to what i learned about Jesus at SWO. The staff is still faithful to write me letters of encouragement with prayers and Scripture. I wonder how aimless in this life I would be had they not been faithful to share the joy that only comes from Christ with me.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters has played a huge role in my life. I attended camp at SWO for 5 years starting in eigth grade. Those 5 weeks I spent at camp help transform me into the person I am today. There are two main things that I love about SWO, the activities and the people. There are so many oppertunities to do awesome activities while at camp. I always chose canoeing, puddle jumping, and white water wrafting. But there are many more activities to choose from such as tubing, wakeboarding, mountain biking, reppelling, and many more. And the second thing that I love about camp is the people. SWO is filled with full-time and summer staff who are crazy about the Lord and are so excited to lead teenagers closer to Him. It was because of these people that I grew so much closer to the Lord each summer I went to Snowbird. And whenever the week of camp would come to an end, I wished I could just stay and never leave.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is a fantastic Christian organization that host camps year round for youth. They are unashamedly Christian and are bold in their faith. They have a deep passion and love for students. During a typical week of camp the staffers pour their lives into the students. They provide 3 great meals a day, adventure recreation including white water rafting, 2 worship services a day, breakout sessions. My students absolutely feel in love with SWO five years ago. This summer will make summer number 6 that we have been to camp there. I would recommend this camp to anyone who is looking for a solid Christian camp. I LOVE this place.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters excels at purposeful investment in the lives of young people. both their campers and their counselors. They create an environment of community and mutual respect. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained, but the primary focus one feels when on campus is the commitment to their purpose of loving, training, and developing youth.
Never in my life have I been involved with a ministry that challenged me to grow spiritually the way Snowbird did. Bunking the typical view of sedate Christianity the camp confronts you with the fact that being a believer is an adventurous, difficult, vivid life. The staff bears a compassion for the campers that is unrivaled, and the result is genuine, one-on-one relationships in which campers find themselves experiencing the radical love of Christ.
I attended the camp as a camper, a chapperone, and as a part of the staff. Everyone I've known who has been a part of this ministry has been impacted by Christ's work there.

Nestled in the Nantahala valley of NC, SWO is a camp designed to disciple youth into a deeper relation ship with Christ. The permanent staff have a deep and well-articulated faith that they share with carefully-selected summer staff of 150-200 college and upper high school students. The training at this level is intense. These students, in turn, while growing in their faith, talk, walk, play, pray, cry, and nurture 300-400 middle and high school campers each week for nine weeks. It is a life-changing experience for staff and campers each summer. (And a lot of fun!)
Like so many have said, Snowbird is such a life-changing experience. I remember the first time I went in '08... I had recently started going to a new church the fall before and still didn't know anyone in the youth when signups were. Of course my mom signed me up, but at the time, I did NOT want to go. However, from then to the day we left, I had grown closer to everyone, but I was still unsure about SWO. But as all my friends had told me, SWO was well beyond what I had expected. The staff made me (as well as everyone who came) feel so welcome and that they actually cared about ME. The worship services were so wonderful, and the many skits the staff put on to get complex ideas easier to understand. Brody and Big Kahuna spoke so deeply about God's love and how one can love God in return. That one week taught me so much about myself and others and God. And since '08, I have gone back to SWO two other times and am preparing for one last visit as a camper this upcoming summer.

Snowbird is a community of believers that help facilitate a place where you can grow in your faith, be challenged to be more than you are toaday, or take your first step on your journey of faith.
Anne Tully is a really good friend of mine! The way she talks about SnoBird and how the Lord has impacted her life in drastic ways through her experience, is so encouraging to me!
Snowbird is not just a camp, not just a retreat destination, not just a fun outdoors getaway. Snowbird is a life-changing place. In high school i attended my Junior and Senior years, and both years left a stronger person with more knowledge and courage to combat the world so desperately seeking to bring me down. Every single person working, volunteering, or serving there was uplifting and dedicated to the Lord, you could feel the love for each of Gods children in the words and there actions. We were offered many one in a lifetime activities and In-your-face truths straight out of Gods word. I rememeber to this day the dramas that depicted Jesus resurection, the raw truth of what Jesus did for me, and others that moved me to tears, no matter how hard i tried to hold back. The spirit of the Lord FILLED the place and overflowed into every receptive heart there. I left with a feeling of knowing that Jesus was a very fesible person, i left with a closeness with my God that was awakened in Praise, Worship, and preaching. I also left with a friendship that sticks like glue to this day. A friend that stood beside me on my wedding day 6 years after i left camp. I returned to Snowbird in Nov of 2010 to go to the Marriage Retreat, i was very apprehensive. A little after a year of being married, my marriage was facing the end, we felt it was over, we were facing divorce. A devastating feeling, this was our last ditch effort to salvage a failing marriage. The teachings, the people, the lessons on love, money, stepping up, being the Wife God created me to be, hit my heart so hard, i knew a drastic change was the only way we could save our marriage. i just didn't think it could be done. We were both heartbroken and confused. We really thought Divorce was the only was we could ever be happy. Brody and LIttle took time and sat down with us, as well as probably 50 other couples individually. We talked and prayed, and they just told us Point blank what had to be done. Brody told my husband was had to be done, and Little assured me that the romantic feeling would return in time, if i was faithful in trusting is God and doing as he told me to do.
Snowbird changed my life, honestly, no clique intented, not just once, but twice. Snowbird gave me the tools and encouragement to save myself, and to save my marriage.
I had the incredible opportunity to attend camp at Snowbird and it was a lifechanging experience. The people are so real and so encouraging, so ready to do anything they can to minister to you and help you in whatever way God wants them to. It was a really fun weekend with so much to do and be involved in, i not only enjoyed myself but also learned a lot. I was definitely impacted by the godly and Christlike attitudes of the people who make Snowbird possible.

Hi! My oldest son has gone to camp at Snowbird several years. He honestly looks forward and talks about it all year long. It not only provides him with a opportunity to try things he might never get a chance to do elsewhere, but all of the staff make a special effort to get to know each individual during their stay. They challenge him to be his best at each physical challenge as well as be the best young man that he can. They have taught him to be a true man of God, not only in word but also in deed. To live his christain life out loud and show God's love to others in all circumstances.
After returning home, he still hears from the staff on his birthday and they occasionally visit our church. This is his senior year in high school and we thought he might not be interested anymore but he has already asked about going especially since this will be his last year.
This year not only will my oldest son be attending Snowbird, but this will be his younger brothers first year and their father will be attending for the first time for our church's men's retreat. It is truly a wonderful camp and their heart's are in God's work. I truly hope that they win!
Snowbird is a wonderful camp that has touch the lives of many people. They have a beautiful setting in the mountains of North Carolina and do beautiful work serving the Lord.

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is a place like no other. When your there you feel as is all that matters is what is going on between you and God. Everything back home, is back home, not with you. A week at Snowbird in the summer, is a week of continuous growth in your relationship with the Lord. NO where else can you find that kind of comunity feeling that you get while your at Snowbird. I love Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters! Without SWO I'm not sure where I would be in my relationship, if I still had one, with God.
This organization is excellent. I was only able to spend a summer there but the staff has become like family. I frequently go to visit or meet them when they are traveling for speaking engagements. They were so gracious to my family and I when my father suddenly passed away last year. Not only did they severals hours to attend the funeral but they also did the music for the service.

Snowbird Outfitters is a mission field in our own homeland. The staff and counselors have a love and passion to share and teach the word of GOD to the youth, families, and couples on special weekends. The youth have such a heart felt passion when they come back home to serve GOD, that it is an encouragement and a joy to see. I would encourage this christian organization to those who wish to further there growth with GOD.

This place is AMAZING!! This is where I truely found out how God works in miraculous ways! Because of the entire week at SWO and several councilors who helped me with some difficulties I came closer to God and this lead to me being saved several months later. My youth leaders are taking us back this summer. We can't wait! SWO IS AWESOME!
This was an experience I was first hesitant about. It was a different environment that I wasn't used to, but when I finally decided to go I never thought that I would enjoy it as much as I did. Snowbird is an exciting adventure from start to finish. Between the fun activities like rafting, playing on their gym-like equipment, and the hilarious skits, there is never a dull moment. The critical thing that people need to know about SWO is that it's not just about the fun activities you get to do there, but the people and events that help strengthen your relationship with God, or if your not already a believer, can help you become one. The sermons every morning, the breakout sessions, and the evening talks with the counselors all give the campers a chance to grow in their faith whether a young believer or someone who has been faithful for a long time. The staff makes you feel very comfortable, making you feel that you can share anything with them and knowing that they are there to answer an questions you may have is a great feeling. I went into camp thinking I was a pretty strong believer, and would end up helping others more, but it turned out I learned more things to help me. It helped bring about issues I needed to deal with and the staff was right there to help alleviate the emotional stress, and clear my doubts. After going to the camp, I think that had I not went I would've missed out on a great opportunity to enjoy fellowship with my friends and have fun in the summer, but also learn so much about the wonderful God we serve. It was an awesome adventure, and I can't wait to do it again!

snowbird was a wonderful challenge and time of preparation for my last two employees from this camp. they hold strong biblical values and prepare young people to take discipleship seriously.
The time I spent at Snowbird changed my life. God showed me his love and power through the counselors and staff at Snowbird. I have been numerous times to the camp as a camper and i hope to return soon as a leader or counselor so others can see what God has done in my life so maybe it can change their lives.

I started going to SWO with my church youth group when I was in the 4th grade. I have never met so many people on fire for the Lord. I absolutely loved that camp, and it made a difference in my life. I will be working as a camp counselor there this summer (:
This was such an amazing experience for me. I came in 2006 as a Summer Staff member and felt the call to return to the Year-round Staff. I moved to SWO for a year and helped in the Media department doing graphics and video work. The Full time staff was so encouraging in helping me on my way to becoming the man I am today. Even though I have left SWO, the relationships I built there are still very important elements in my life.

I have went to SWO for two years it was absolutely amazing. You can have fun by learning God's word at the same time. You can experience opportunites to do stuff that you may never get to do otherwise. It is a great place to be. I would reccomend it to anyone that has a youth member or when I have my kids someday I would want them to go here or somewhere like here. Its for all ages and for all different kinds of camps go on. Camp is awesome! SWO ROCKS!

Snowbird is my most favorite place on earth!!! I have been to Snowbird many time over the past 7 or 8 years. Their purpose is to make a difference in the lifes of others. We have been able to be there as a youth pastor, adult camper, and friend. Through Snowbird camps, retreats, winter retreats, marriage retreats etc... I have been able to watch them pour their lives into to so many people with the purpose to Glorfy God.
Snowbird will take you to the max with some extreme outdoor adventure while keeping you surounded by the Love of God.
I have had a great time at Snowbird. It is one of the coolest places on Earth. You get to learn about God and have an awsome time.

I went to snowbird on a church mission trip. First of all it was a WONDERFUL experience. In fact I am going back this year with my church again. They have a 1 to 4 ratio of councelors to students which is amazing. The worship is also great! They have an awesome band, skit group, and speaker. Every year i see a huge number of students my age get saved. I have been saved, but it didn't happen there. Our youth pastor has been saved there. He was a councelor for a ouple of months. They have a number of recreations for students also. This is a great factor to snowbird. I have to say if you go your relationship with God will definitely grow a tremendous amount. If you ever have a chance to go I highly encourage it.
God Bless!

I have never felt so moved in my entire life. I really felt like I belonged more than I ever have in my entire life. The atmosphere and the people helped my walk with Christ so much. I have gone six years in a row and wouldn't take a year back.

Snowbird is such a great experience! In the few days i was there i became closer to God! All the different activities like the Three Man Swing and white water rafting was a test to my faith. I am terrifyd of heights and I didnt want to go up on the swing. This verse popped into my head: For I the Lord your God hold your right hand; I am the Lord, Who says to you, Fear not; I will help you! Isaiah 41: 13. It is silly to say that, but through Snowbird I was able to do something that the devil kept keeping me away from. The workers are all so nice, ifelt like i was part of a family sitting around the campfire our last night! I would recommend this to anyone! I cannot wait to be there this summer!

I honestly had an amazing time at snowbird! All of the staff is nice there and there food is pretty good! The band sung really good and Brody was an awesome preacher. They taught me alot about God that i haven't thought about before. I love going there every year and look forward to it. I've only been there twice but those two years are times to look back on. I hope I can continue to go there each and every year! It was an amazing experience!
Review from Guidestar
My first experience with Snowbird was a youth lock in in North Carolina. I was exposed to Brody's preaching style and will never forget his message. It was focused on commitment. The analogies he used to describe true commitment with stick with me the rest of my life. I walked away being challenged to be more responsible with my commitments and in making the decision to commit to something, especially to the Christian faith. My second experience with Snowbird last a bit longer. I decided to sign-up to be a camper on an OLD School trip. On this trip I was taught basic outdoor living skills and principals that I still use today! Such as the meaning of trail blazes, and their distinctions, how to pack a pack, how to hike well with a heavy pack, how to read the flow of a river to find the current, how to guide a raft down the river, how to set up/break down tents, when to set up/break down a campsite, and the importance of the Leave No Trace rules. In addition to learning the basics of outdoor living I also learned how to study the bible during that trip and how significant God's word is to the believer - that it is necessary and very powerful. The leadership shown to me on that trip has impacted me to the core of who I am. I saw, through the lives of the Snowbird staff on that trip, that a relationship with God is something real, something that happens daily, and is something to be valued and passionate about. I saw that it was necessary. I think often about the talk we had about studying God's word and what our leader, Bobby, said - that God's word is life changing.
Also, on that trip, I grew to LOVE the outdoors and mountain biking. I had only been camping once during my life before this trip. After this trip I would find friends at school who enjoyed the outdoors as much or more and we would get hiking trips together or trips to local waterfalls/swimming holes. I use my opportunities in the woods with others to talk about God and how He has made himself known through his creation.
This trip had an eternal impact on me and I'm confident that God used that trip to help change the focus of my life for the rest of my life!

My son went to Snowbird solely for the fun of hanging out with his friends, and came back from there totally on-fire for God. He didn't expect to experience the spiritual growth that he did. His Snowbird experience has not only drawn him closer to God, but has allowed him to reach out and encourage others to do the same. He can hardly wait to go back again this year (we're signing him up tomorow!), and he has asked several friends to go, as well. He shows all of his friends his video of Snowbird and tells them they should start planning right away to join him there.
I loved Snowbird so much! It was fabulous! The counselors there are so kind, helpful, and fun. Brody was an amazing preacher. Every sermon he gave was so interesting and it related to youth so well. I would love to go back anytime. I've been three years and everytime it was just as good if not better than the previous year!

Snowbird is the BEST camp I have ever been too. The Lord has done amazing things with those people and I have had a stronger relationship with God since I went there 2 summers ago. I know god will continue to bless SWO!!!!!
Snowbird Outfitters is an awesome youth camp that provides love, fun and the opportunity to know our Lord and Savior. The camp has young adult counselors who can relate with teenagers and help them with their spiritual walk with Christ. The camp also provides good food, fun and activites that teens enjoy and gives them the opportunity to meet other teens their age and become good friends. I can't think of constructive feedback in regards to improvement. Snowbird Outfitters is an awesome camp, is great for the communit and for the youth of today. I have nothibg but praises to the Lord for providing Snowbird to our youth.

I would like to recognize Snow Bird Wilderness Outfitters for its hospitality. I was familiar with the location and overall camp when I asked permission to have my wedding there. I had been to the camp since I was in high school. The staff members were absolutely the nicest most caring individuals. They were at the camp to help lead others to Christ in any way they could. I was not a member of Snow Bird WIlderness Outfitters so I was not sure if I would be able to have my wedding there but when I asked they wrote up a contract and gave me permission! I was so excited and the location was perfect. The staff members were very helpful from the beginning planning of my wedding to the very end. Several times before the wedding I would stop by just to look things over and get ideas for decoration and stuff and there was always somebody there to help me and show me around. This meant a lot to me since I would just stop by not knowing if they were busy or not. The day before our wedding while I was working on decorations some of the staff members planted fresh flowers and cleaned up around the grounds to help us out. I was so shocked because that was one less thing on our list to do. Out in the community when you run into staff members they are very polite and nice to everybody. They never meet strangers and they are working for our Lord.
We (my hustband, a youth pastor and I) first heard about Snowbird through a fellow church member who was out for a walk and literally, stumbled upon it! We are so thankful that she did. The following summer we took a group of students. We have been ministered to by Snowbird for almost seven years now. I've made so many friends and really could consider the full-time staff family. I love and appreciate their ministry. Their LOVE for God is so evident. It's shared. It's felt! They truly love people because they LOVE GOD! I have been to numerous "camps" as a teen and as a youth pastor's wife. I can say hands-down... There's NO comparison. So many times camp worship is high energy and more of a concert; and the staff is generally untouchable, like celebrities. That's not the case at "SWO" at all! Students are ministered to during recreational activities, being served at meal time, or through playing a game of cards. I have had the staff in my home a few times to stay over night while they are on "World Tour" and I can say they are just the same in my home as at camp! ("World Tour" is when SWO staff goes to some of the churches they have ministered to during the summer. This is just one way this non-profit organization gives back.) That's what they do! They give back! Their staff members, "CEO" included aren't driving around in big fancy cars... some of them drive old beat up trucks like the one they "Big Nasty!" It is my prayer that you will feel the need that this camp has to receive your generous donation! I know they will use it according to God's wisdom! I pray God's blessings on your agency as you give back! :) God bless!

My son, Shawn Clark works at this camp, he is in charge of mission work for the community! All the staff wants more than anything else for everyone to know Our Lord as personal Saviour! Shawn has grown in his walk with Our Saviour so very much since working at Snowbird! They all love each person that comes to Snowbird, have fun with them and even stay in contact with them after they leave camp! My church, Theresa Baptist in Roxboro go to this camp with our youth! Some of the men in our church are going on a man's retreat to Snowbird in March of this year.
Snowbird is an amazing camp! I was there for several summer camps and a winter retreat. Each time I enjoyed building relationships with other campers and leaders. The music and messages were awesome along with all the activities. I highly recommend this camp to anyone who enjoys adventure and/or connecting with real people!!
Review from Guidestar
I attended Snowbird camp twice as a youth leader with a group of young people from my church. I could not have been more impressed with a ministry trying to reach youth for the Lord. Every employee at the camp from adminstration to counselors had a great love for the God. They set an example for living a Godly life that was both believable and enviable. They told about being a Christian in daily meetings in the chapel, in small groups, by staying up and talking one on one late into the night, and during outdoor activities. The people running this camp have something going that in have never seen or felt before. There is a dress code that encourages modesty. The boys are taught to respect women by letting the women go first in the meal line. Just sitting here typing this is bringing emotional tears to my eyes as I remember all the experiences I had, and the program was not even targeted at me because I was an adult. Anyone wishing to donate to a ministry who is reaching young people for Christ should consider Snowbird a worthy cause.
Where to begin... The year-2000-and I had personally seen Snowbird grow from 25 to 100 people visiting per week from just the two years previous. Then they got a hold of me and personally began helping me shape who I was and would become in Christ.
Review from Guidestar
Snowbird has impacted my life in a great way. I have been going to Snowbird for 10 years now and was on staff for three summers. Their solid biblical teaching and relational ministry emphasis has really affected my walk with Christ.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is unlike any camp I have had the pleasure of being a part of. I had never been in a camp atmosphere that combined the idea of extreme fun (ropes courses, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, and much more) with an unapologetic and straightforward message of what is means to be a Believer. Snowbird does not ‘water down’ the Gospel message or the Christian walk and while staff and campers are ‘loved on’ they are held to a standard that is way more than simply legalism…they our held accountable for what it means to be in a relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
I am only 23 but I can honestly say that up to this point working at SWO was the most physically, emotionally and spiritually exhausting thing I have ever done in my life…and was by far the MOST rewarding. The opportunity to work with, to pour into students and to see God using their time at camp to change their lives, and help them grow in their Spiritual walks was amazing.
What was also amazing (and unlike I had experienced before in a camp setting) was the community of the staffers as a whole. With a summer staff of a little over 100 it was incredible how close we became in such a short time and how close many of us still are (SWO family keeps growing!). I made close friends in my time at SWO who I know I will be friends with for the rest of my life.
It was new for me how much the full time staffers invested and poured into us. They recognized that though we were there for the summer we wouldn’t be there forever and wanted to encourage and teach us in our personal lives, for the summer yes, but for the future as well and wherever God was calling us.
My time at SWO impacted my life in so many ways: It gave me lifelong friendships, gave me the opportunity to serve God in a context in which few have the opportunity, confirmed the direction God is calling on my life, and in all of the above strengthened my relationship with God.
I was a camp counselor at Snowbird for 6 years and have continued to help out from time to time since then. Being a part of Snowbird has been used by God to grow me in the way I see Him, and the body of Christ. Snowbird has definitely had a huge impact on the friend, daughter, teacher, and wife I am today. I even met my husband at Snowbird! I feel very blessed to be a part of the "Snowbird Family"
Snowbird is such a great camp! I love the way all the workers enteract with the visitors, they make you feel as if you are the only one there and you're salvation is the only thing that ever mattered. The skits are marvelous, touching and makes you think. The praise and worship team always makes my heart and soul sing. The part I would have to say is my favorite is hearing the words of my Lord God being spoken by such God fearing people.
I have many friends who work at Snowbird and I have worked with their OLD School program. I can honestly say that these are some of the most wonderful people I have ever met in my life. They care, deeply about the spiritual health of everyone they meet and they want everyone to experience Jesus is a real and powerful way.
My life has been positively affected by their ministry, as well as the lives of my family and church members. I cannot recommend them enough!
I was apart of Snowbird's staff in the summer of 2004 and it impacted my life in so many ways. Since Snowbird is a Christian camp it impacted me in my walk with Jesus. Through working there I was encouraged by the Full Time staff and other staff everyday and it gave me strength to grow. I also learned how to step out of my comfort zone and open up with my personality. They helped me get away from being so shy and be more open. I have nothing but great things to say about Snowbird and I am proud to have served with them for a summer.

Snowbird Wilderness is truly second to none. They provide some of the best recreation in the country! But don't let the adventure fool you, the most important thing they offer is found in their leadership staff. All of the teaching is biblically sound and Christ-centered. Then on top of that they have a great leader to student ratio. Every student who attends is meaningfully invested in by one or more college aged students who dedicate their summer to serving youth. I think the highest compliment I can give Snowbird is that students who come back aren't just on a camp high... they are truly transformed by the gospel. What students experience in a week of camp has an eternal benefit on their lives!

I served as a chaperone when the youth of our church attended Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters. They provided an experience of the highest caliber in all areas. The entire staff pours itself into all that attend the camp, and they all work hard to make it an amazing experience for all who attend. It is clear that the leadership from the top has empowered all the staff to be accountable to all who attend Snowbird, and have done so in a way that both challenges and inspires both the campers and the staff.
Snowbird has played an instrumental role in my Christian development. I attended Snowbird as a high school student with my youth group to do some spring clean-up work in preperation for their summer season. It was through that week that God challenged me and confirmed my call into ministry. During college I spent my summers at Snowbird working as a camp counselor. I learned so much about ministry through those 3 summers from Brody (the camp director) and the rest of the staff. The experience I gained there has been vital to my ministry with college students working with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
I worked as a summer counselor for two summers at Snowbird. Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters has had a larger impact on my life than any other ministry or organization I have been a part of. Through this ministry I have learned about and experienced true biblical community. Snowbird's dedication to the gospel and commitment to biblical teaching have been instrumental in my own personal growth and walk with Christ.
Snowbird changed my life. I would not be here today if it wasn't for that amazing camp. The staff are very reliable, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. The services are like nothing I have ever seen anywhere else. The rec is creative and some of the funniest times I have had. I had watched countless people go to SWO and come back changed. No matter how many times I have gone this camp always rocks my world and brings me to a whole new level in my relationship with God. God is in this camp, there is no other way to explain it.
Snowbird was a great experience. I went for the first time as a chaperone last summer with the youth group at my church. It was amazing to see the relationships formed and the things that the youth and I learned. It was an experience that I will never forget and that I will always share with the youth. The lessons that were taught were so applicable to the youth and adults. This ministry truly is a blessing.

SWO is an awesome place for students. They are concerned with kids being told they are important to Christ no matter what. They teach kids how to live a victorious life and how to minister to others. We love SWO and the staff. I can't think of a more deserving group.
The first year i went to Snowbird i was on a path where i lived for myself and thought i had to have a boyfriend. I was in the rountine of reading my bible just to read it and didnt really get anything from it because i didnt open my heart to what God was trying to say. I left Snowbird realizing that my life didnt please God and that i had some major changes to make. However, i also left there knowing that God was with me every step of the way and that he loved me more than anything else. Snowbrd taught me that being a Christian isnt about the religious part it is about having a deep relationship with my creator and the lover of my soul. Since that Summer God has used Snowbird as a place to remind me of my promises, to encourage me, and refresh my soul. The people at Snowbird remind me that it is possible to live a life devoted to God. Even though it is a struggle i have now given my love life to God because i trust only God can write the fairy tell love story i long for and that Christ is my number one Prince Charming and i dont have to wait for him! Jesus is with me always and forever, in every season of my life! I can't explain how much Snowbird and all the people there means to me. God has used that wonderful place and all those wonderful people to put me on the right path to a more fufilling life living the life God designed just for me! There missions program is awsome as well, they go out into the community to share God's love through their actions by providing for those in need in whatever way they can!
SnowBird Outfitters INC is the best camp I have even taken students too... They love my students and we have left every time feeling like family!
Snowbird is an amazing camp. When I was in my twenties, a group of friends and I went there for a Winter camp. This organization really reaches out to young people. They are such a witness for Christ. They take the time to get to know young people, and reach out to them through fun activities and sports. I remember when I was there we went horseback riding, rode on a zip-line and went on a hike on a wooded trail. We also had very meaningful praise and worship time, and also times of individual prayer. We could find a spot out in Nature to sit by ourselves and get close to God. This is also a wonderful place to establish friendships. There are lots of activities to do with friends, such as the trust obstacle course. This camp is a really wonderful place for young people.

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters has been a place for me to experience true community among other believers and be challenged and encouraged with my relationship with the Lord. I was able to reach out to the youth that came to camp and the people of the community in Andrews, NC.
Review from Guidestar
I was a camper at Snowbird in Summer 2001, 2003, and 2004. Here I learned what it truly meant to be a follower of Jesus Christ. The teachings, worship, and community all helped me better understand the character of Christ and the love He lavishes on His creation.
As a camper, I remember the staff were genuine and authentic in their relationships. There were no noticeable factions or dissensions amongst themselves. This community is what in large part lead me to work here throughout my 4 summers in college. While I was on summer staff, I learned that it was truly mercy, not sacrifice, that compelled Snowbird to serve the hearts of middle school and high school kids.
Snowbird uses it's outdoor activities as a platform to minister the Gospel to a range of adolescents in the South East United States. One of my most rewarding experiences working at camp was being able to work with the boys from Eagle Ranch, a group home in Atlanta, GA. These students come from broken families and other hardships. Most of the boys did not want to hang out or talk, and they were very put off by me. Until mid way through the week, the staff working with Eagle Ranch played paint ball against the boys. This time of fun and fellowship really opened the doors for communication and quality time. I began to see the walls come down and I was able to have meaningful conversations with boys whom I thought never would speak with me. From their personal stories, it was evident a lot of healing and reconciliation needed to happen in their relationships, particularly their families. During the rest of the week, I was able to build trust and empathy among a few of the boys and have some meaningful conversations about their past and their hopeful futures.
Having the opportunity to work with Eagle Ranch at Snowbird really put a passion in my heart to work with students and helping them navigate through adolescence. Having the opportunity to attend Snowbird as a camper helped me understand my faith and expressibility as a teenager, and I am thankful to be able to give back what was given to me.

I have been to camp there as a camper for three years, for two winter treats, and was in their OLD School program. SWO is all around AWESOME. OLD School really shaped me in so many ways. i am forever grateful. The whole staff put everything they have into their vision of what there purpose at SWO should be. Two thumbs up!!

This camp is by far the most Christ-centered and Spirit-led camp I have ever been a part of. Growing up in church youth group, I have been to more camps than I can count. And now having worked at SWO, I can confidently say that SWO embraces not only the relational aspect that youth today need and the extreme recreation that pulls each individual out of their comfort zone, but also incorporates sound teaching and doctrine which is the foundation of what Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is all about and that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Review from Guidestar
Snowbird is a place for spiritual retreat and growth. The staff there is totally sold out for Christ! Anyone there is always willing to step up when there is a need, and they always make the Lord's purpose and plans number one priority. The experience there is uncomparable and totally Spirit filled. I would recommed SWO to everyone!
SWO is an amazing place with amazing people (from what I've heard!). There is a neat group of people who work hard to impact the lives of youth. Everyone should go there (Including me!).
I was first invited by my youth pastor at one time to come to this Christian camp. At first i thought it would be like many others. When i arrived at this camp i met some crazy people but although they were crazy there was not one there that did not have the vision of reaching each and ever camper with the word of God. It was as if the moment i steped on the camp I felt the love of God all around me. I had individual attention from my group leaders that were assigned to us if i ever needed it. They were always around to be a witness to us through christ. I never felt uncomfortable or out of place one moment. It was a place i felt safe and feard the thought of leaving. God is mighty powerful there.
a great christian camp, that ministers to all students at all levels. the councselors all are trained for weeks before they can be ready to minister to the students , the speakers and leaders are all God filled and love God and their students. plus the camp runs year long. i can talk to the counselors any time i need to and value their help and opinions.

I used to work with a youth group in Florida and we took the kids to SWO several times. We liked it so much, we also schedule time for our 20 Somthings to go for a retreat. I love SWO because of the ones who run it and those who work there, their love for adventure and their passion for Jesus. SWO offers a great variety of outdoorsy extreme activities and has a great focus and challenge to all those who come onto the campus to examine their spirits, as well. The staff is not shaken when troubled kids show up, but go above and beyond to welcome and involved them. The surroundings are beautiful. The staff is fun. The call to higher spiritual standard and relationship with Jesus is amazing. Humor runs rampant. Kids love it. Adults get challenged. Great job, Big'n, Brody, and then rest of you...

Our family loves SWO! What a wonderful place for people of all ages. Our church has been active for several years and we can't wait to see what Snowbird has in store for the future.
I attended Snowbird as a chaperone for two trips with our church youth group. The staff at Snowbird is well organized and very very friendly. They were very attentive to our group and spent many hours just spending time with the youth and talking to them! That is invaluable because so many times youth put up walls but the way that the staff approached the kids and really spent a lot of time with them they were able to break down those walls and speak truth into their lives!
As a chaperone it was great to see others caring for our youth the way we do. It was great that the staff was very encouraging to us.
The worship sessions that were offered were very well planned and thought out. They were encouraging and very biblically based. The breakout sessions that were offered were a great extension of what was being talked about in the worship sessions. As a chaperone/leader those breakout sessions were great for not only the lives of the youth, but also for the adults in the room. I took away from all the teachings way to improve my walk with the Lord and how to practically live out what I read in the Bible.
I am thankful for the times that I have gotten to spend at Snowbird and with the staff! They are an extension of the body of Christ, being the hands and feet of Christ!

I have brought my students to snowbird as a youth leader with my church since the summer of 2002. It is hands down the best summer camp I have ever been to. The staff is so involved in investing in the students. The staff to camper ratio allows for your students to be poured into like nowhere else. The recreation that snowbird offers you won't find anywhere else. The teaching is solid and really pushes students go deeper in their pursuit of Christ. This camp is the best camp on earth.
My experience at Snowbird was a very positive one. The time spent at snowbird was well organized. The staff at Snowbird work really great together. They are very professional and truly care about the campers. Even during free time the counselors hung out with the kids and spent time getting to know them. They did an excellent job of making sure none of the kids felt left out. We had a few kids in our group that are loners and the staff never let them be left out of activities. But it was done in a way that they didn't feel singled out or forced to join in. The messages were very relevant to the teens. They really related and responded to the messages. They managed to challenge the teens to do more in their faith without belittling them or talking over their heads.

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is a fantastic organization that not only reaches out to people who come to take part, but people in the surrounding community, neighboring states and internationally. I worked at SWO for 5 years and in that time we helped over 65 families rebuild roofs, homes and restore healthy living conditions to families in need. They traveled to West Virginia to help build houses and every year have taken a trip to an Orphanage in Honduras to spend time with children and show them that there are loved and cared for. I was sponsored through SWO to move to Honduras and live amongst the people for a semester helping with any needs that might arise. I became a drum teacher and worked on the farm raising chicken and pigs so that the children would have their own source of food. It is because of SWO that this happened and changed not only my life but those who were touched through the work that was done. This could not have been done without the help of Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters.
I have been to Snowbird two times as a leader. The staff is very down to earth and Gospel focused. I appreciate that they want the students to have a blast but are deeply burdened for the students to fully understand what Christ did and the calling that places on our lives. It is an incredible ministry. Not only do I have an incredible time, I walk away refreshed and challenged...even as a leader!
I have been to SWO twice as a chaperone for our youth group. Each time not only have I recieved a blessing but I have witnessed the children grow in there relationship with Christ. This place is a great place for children to grow. I LOVE IT!

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is by far the best summer camp I have ever been a part of. As a camper I was overwhelmed with the many recreactions the camp has to offer, from giant swings, to paintball, from a multi-course climbing tower, to class III white water rafting. This camp blew me away the expectional outdoor expirence they have created. As a couselor I was had the priveledge to serve along side some of the most wonderful people I hav eevery met in my life. The staff at snowbird, I am convinced, is the reason why it has been so effective in it's ministry to the youth and the public in the Andrews, NC. They have devoted their lives to the service of others and it was an honor to be apart of such a geniune organization like Snowbird. I don't know who the other canidates are but I know that Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters Inc is deserving to be the winner of this contest.
SWO is an amazing camp. They offer youth an experience that many youth would never have if it weren't for SWO. I am the senior pastor's wife from Church Alive in St. Cloud Fl. We have enjoyed this ministry so much. Not only are the activities amazing but the message they have is incredible. Our youth are encouraged in their walk with the Lord, their family life, school, self worth and service to the community. The diverse programs they offer meet the needs of any church or organization looking for encouragement for young adults. They have such a positive influence in the community they are in and on anyone blessed enough to be able to spend time there. After our youth graduate, many return to serve as staff because of the impact on their lives.

Snowbird Wilderness Camp was one of the greatest experience i've had in my entire life. They focused on strengthening my relationship with God while having an unforgetable, fun time. The three most exciting activites that I participated in was the three man swing, repelling off a 180' ft cliff, and white water rafting. Those were amazing experiences that you don't get to participate in on a daily basis and it put my strength and courage to the test. Also, they provided us with the services a day that were entertaining, empacting, and absolutely amazing. I enjoyed this camp so much that I'd love to be a leader there some day. I will never forget this wonderfull experience. It just didn't effect me for a week, it will effect me for a lifetime.
My sister went to this camp as a camp counselor shortly after she was saved. It was upon her return home that I started noticing a change in her life, which I attributed to the camp's influence.
Some of her doctrine was improved and more importantly lived out for the first time in her life.
Also, she told of great influences the camp had on the attendees. If they were as affected as she was (like she said they were) then they left the camp in a better spot than when they entered.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters changed my son's life. He came home from camp a changed young man in more ways than one. He was on a spiritual high for months. There commitment to the youth of today is beyond anything a mother can comprehend. I believe with all my heart that "The Big Kahuna & Brodie" LOVE today's kids with a passion that is very rare. The relationships they build with these kids stay for a long time after they leave the campground.
Snowbird is more than just a place to me, it serves as a place in which I became the person I am today. As a camper, the staff poured into my life, teaching me what it meant to be a disciple of Christ. They even became my friend and pursued me in friendship outside of the camp experiences. As a staff member, I met some of my best friends in the world.

Snowbird is the most amazing camp I have ever been to. It has so many people who come each summer to help people like me give my life to the Lord. The first time i went there i gave me life to the lord. It has changed my life forever. I will never forget that summer or snowbird.

I have visited Snowbird as a student and later as an adult work. Each time I return I learn more and see the effect the camp has on the students. Speaking from personal experice the camp is a wonderful place for learning about Christ and getting to experience the outdoors. When I went away to college at App State, my first semester I was very depressed. I email Brodie-one of the co-founders and express my feelings. Brodie personally called me to talk and help me through this diffucult time in my life. As he knews several college student there and got me in touch with them and it change my college life. Not many leaders of a camp would take the time to call a girl they had never really meet and hadn't see in a while. Snowbird staff is great and really caring. The summer after my younger brother died, I went as an adult leader and the support and help me and my younger got was amazing and helped us both though a diffucult time in our life.
Snowbird is amazing! When I went the other summer, I experienced spiritual highs that I could never get ffrom other camps' worship services. The extreme sports like repeling taught me how to live on the edge and conquer my fears by relying on God.
i have been going to Snowbird since i was in 7th grade, i am now 20 years old, an Old School alumni and a summer staff member. the community and environment there is perfect for reaching out to people and teens that come from all over. they have no limits when it comes to serving and meeting others needs.

Snowbird is hands down the best youth camp that I have ever been to. I am 23 years old and a preacher's kid and my mother was always the youth director at whatever church we were at while I was growing up. Needless to say, I've been to over my fair share of camps and not one even comes close to comparing to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters.
My husband is a youth minister and we are very involved in our students spiritual and everyday lives. We heard of Snowbird from a former counselor and her husband and knew that we had to take our youth there. We had preconceived notions that this would be like any other camp with some worship, speaking and "entertainment" but it by far exceeded our expectations. They pack so much in to one week of camp that you feel like you've been there a month but that you only just got there at the same time. There is no way you can do all the activities they have available in one week and that keeps you wanting more for the next summer.
But not only are the activities and "entertainment" a huge "selling factor" but the worship and ministry is unlike anything I've ever experienced. When you get there they lay out the schedule for you and you're kind of taken aback by how much "worship" and "session" time there is but when you get into those times, you don't want to leave and when you have to, you can't wait to come back to the next worship or session time.
Snowbird's staff is what makes the camp what it is. With hiring so many college students and young people, they can heavily relate to what the students/campers are going through and can show them how to work through the tough times or problems that they may be experiencing. The counselors not only encourage the students but also encourage us as leaders to talk to our students and really get to know what is going on in their personal lives on a daily basis.
After we got back from camp, 2 or our students gave their lives to Christ and a weekly Bible study was started.
I would recommend this camp to ANYONE that even knows a teenager. One week at Snowbird can change a kid's life.
Snowbird not only knows how to make the best out of a good time but they do it in a manner that exemplifies Christ.

I camped at Snowbird Outfitters for two years with my churches youth group. now I am in college, and it was Snowbird that helped sculpt me into the man i am today. The talk on spiritual warfare given one evening made me realize in public universities, Christian students are under attack from the devil. Snowbird is a great camp and i highly recommend anyone go there.
Snowbird is an amazing organiztation that shows the love of God through and through! It has taugth me to be a better person and a better christain. The way everything is so outstanding is so amazing. Snowbird has had an amazing impact on my life. An unforgettable one! It has changed the way I live my everyday life because the staff and community there helped me understand better what it means to be a follower of Christ. Through intense discipleship I started to fall in love with God with intense passion. I have met my husband there. We still visit to this day to keep up with people and friends who are still there. I truly enjoyed getting to enjoy spending time out in creation by rafting, hiking, canoeing, tubing, rapelling, climbing and doing the on campus recs, horseback riding. It's phenomenal and it will always be apart of my life. I can't imagine what and where I'd be if I had not been there.
Snowbird Outfitters is one of the most wonderful places i have ever been too. This place has been the only place that i feel comfortable. The people there are great. From the day you meet them they are warm and become like a close friend. I went on a ski retreat there recently and not only did I have a lot of fun, I learned so much from them. Snowbird changed me into a better person!
SWO had been a part of my family for over 10 years. All three of our children have attended Snowbird over the past summers. The Townsends have been represented nearly every one of those years doing the base camp experience, Old School (backpacking) and the ultimate spiritual renewal each one experienced while there. Our 19 year old daughter who is in her first year at UVA, has served on servant team (volunteer summer staff) and most recently counselor. She has been accepted to serve again this coming summer as a returning counselor. I am most amazed at the maturity this camp nurtures in their staff as well as the impact I see in those teens that attend as campers. I am so thankful our church introduced my children and their friends to this camp.
I attended youth camp throughout high school at SWO and it benefited my life tremendously. I was able to receive positive teaching that increased my self-esteem and joy for life during the trying teenage years. Through their outdoor activities, warm friendships, and vibrant love for life I carried that on and shared it with others when I returned home.

I worked there last summer and LOVED IT! It was a great experience for me. I wanted to work with students and this camp gave me the opportunity so do this. The atmosphere there is energetic as well as gorgeous with Snowbird being located in the Mountains of North Carolina! This camp provides students to grow into a deeper relationship with Christ and i know personally that the full time staff a Snowbird has really help me grow into a deeper relationship with Christ. The full time staff really invest in there summer staff. They challenge them to step outside their comfort zones and to build relationships with students. These students that come through Snowbird are challenge to not go home the same. To make a difference in their schools, churches, homes, etc and these student do that! The full time staff has a HUGE passion for students and you can see that when you are at this camp.
I learned so much at Snowbird.I could just feel good talking to me and what he wants me to with my life. The staff is amazing!I enjoyed all the things to do there like paintball,3 man swing, and etc.
When I was fifteen I visited Snowbird as a camper. That summer through the ministry at Snowbird I surrendered my life to Christ.

Snowbird is amazing. The spiritual growth they provided me was unlike any other. Last year was my first year and I will definately be going back. The staff there really know what they're doing and how to help people. To put it simply, I love it there.

Spent a weekend at SWO on a men's retreat and had a very meaningful time up there. The staff were all very helpful. Many good and positive life lessons were taught on that weekend that have had a positive impact on me and the men in our men's accountablitity group.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is a great camp with an amazing staff. While at this camp i was challenged in my spiritual walk with the Lord while having fun in fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ at the same time. Snowbird staff truly care about the campers and their growth in the Lord. They are different from most organizations in that they take truly have the campers best interest at heart while serving the Lord whole heartedly. While at camp i got to know a few staff that i still speak with today. In conclusion, Snowbird and their staff are not like most camps or organizations, they take time to keep up with you and continue to challenge you in your growth.
I went to Snowbird as a camper for the first time in 8th grade. I then returned to the camp 4 more summers in a row. This camp has changed so many lives and is operated in such a great way. This camp led to my passion in Camp Ministry. I really feel words can't express the experience at Snowbird Outfitters. I would recommend this camp to people and churches all over the US.
going to this camp was the best exprience of my life and i overcame many of my fears and recieved very helpful advise for life.
I have attended SWO several summers with my church's youth program of 130 youth---I walk away amazed each year on several levels. the SWO staff is amazing as they get involved deeply with each student and get to know them on levels that others have not attempted.---they are true disciples of Christ---they work long hours and for little pay---they are truly servants of Christ. Lives are changed at this week at SWO..
This is a one of a kind organization. Working for Snowbird changed my life. No matter what you are doing here, you are surrounded by people who love Jesus and love you and who want to see you develop a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. The staff at Snowbird constantly shower visitors with love and are always looking for ways to serve. They love to have fun and play, but more importantly they love seeing people who are broken for the Word of God. They love seeing people changed by the Word, and people who are desiring the Lord. To watch college aged staff members turn away from a game of Ultimate Frisbee to go talk with a student about their heart is incredible, and this isn't uncommon. To see students who are terrified of heights facing their fears solely by the support and word of a staff member shows the level of trust that students have with this staff. The love shown at this camp is encouraging and contagious and really reflects the love that Christ has called us to show the world.
If you are looking for a camp that is packed full of adventure and fun and solid Biblical teaching SWO is the place to take your youth group. The staff are passionate about kids and love what they do. Every activity offered is well planned with great intention and purpose behind it.
My personal experience at Snowbird has impacted me in so many ways. Snowbird has grown me spiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally. I have made so many great friends and met so many great people on staff and as my counselors. Snowbird is the most fun camp I have ever experienced. I have been four years as a camper, and am applying to be a counselor this summer. I love everything about Snowbird and always will.
I was a camper at SWO in 2008 and it was one of the most memorable trips I have ever been on. The full time staff and summer counselors truely have a heart for the Lord and it shows in the way they press into the lives of the students that attend. Even though my last experience with SWO was over two years ago, I still rave about the experiences I had and the things I learned. My high school youth group continues to attend camp every summer and my heart beams for the students that get to go because I know there hearts will never be the same. SWO is truely an awesome place that will exceed anyones expectations. I have applied to be apart of SWO's summer staff for 2011 because of I want to be a part of how God is using SWO to impact, challenge, teach, and encourage teens.

I have been to Snowbird 3 or 4 times over the years I was in school. It is an amazing place with so much to do. I loved going there and getting to hang out with all the awesome counslors. The Zip-line is by far my favorite activity to do on the camps site. I loved getting to go off the camp site and do all kinds of other activities like horse back riding, caving, and of course white water rafting. The counslors made white water rafting an experience I will never forget, they set up places for you to jump in the river, and dress in crazy ways and are just crazy. The prayer chapel is also an amazing experience. It just opens your eyes to how many people out in the world need our prayers and it just gives you some alone time to meditate with God. Services are crazy and so much fun. The morning ones wake you up and are fun but you learn great lessons as well. The night ones are usually a little more serious but they are just so moving. They are the one's that really get you on that spiritual high that just makes you crazy for God. Brody is an awesome speaker and I always felt like he was saying exactly what I needed to hear. The break out sessions are very helpful. You can pick which ones you want and they have them on all kinds of subjects that you are dealing with in your life. They are so interesting and I loved getting to go to them and hear other counslors share about issues. This place is just so magical in a Godly way. You just feel so at home there after only a few hours and never want to leave.
Snowbird changed my life. If it wasn't for Snowbird, I'de probably not be where I am today. I worked at Snowbird for 2 years and each year i grew more as an invidiual in confidence, truth and understanding of God's Word and His will for my life. I am now a Snowbird missionary in Honduras where I have served for 5 1/2 years. Snowbird is a place full or excitement, love, and acceptance...a place where you can be crazy, get dirty and it's ok. Young people come to Snowbird to have fun and get away from the world as well as receive answers to life and help with their walk with the Lord.

I went there last year on a men's retreat. The fellowship there was great, but the staff there was awesome. They ministered to our group of about 65 men with a humble spirit. The teaching was as solid teaching I have ever had. Their facility was very much adequate in all areas.
I have visited SWO many times and each time I go it meet all exceptations that I have. The first two times I went the youth I took came back with a new desire to jump into scripture and learn more about God. I feel that the SWO staff are some of the most founded in the people I have been around. I took another group of youth the 3rd weekend in Feb and those youth loved the place and are already asking to go back. The staff that was assiagned to us that weeked was just what we need to get eyes open to true Christianity. The Bible Study was awsome and the points came across very clear. The environment that is set up at SWO is a chance for students to get out of there comfort zone and trust God first and formost but it also gets them to trust total stangers. I most certian will be taking another group to SWO
SWO is a truly wonderful and dynamic experience for students. They are challenged physically, emotionally and spiritually to become the best that God has for them. The staff shows a great deal of love for every single student. I hope that every teenager gets to experience Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters.
Snowbird is an AWESOME ministry that consistently teaches the truth of the Gospel. They are making a difference in a ton of kids' lives!
Snowbird has become like a second family to me. I went there as a camper, then participated in semester OLD School program, then came on staff. It is the only camp that my youth pastor agreed to taking us because the staff are well-trained and are intentional with investing in the lives of the campers. It taught me a lot and changed the course of my life because I did things (such as backpacking or climbing) that I never thought I could conquer, but since the experience taught me so much- I decided to pursue a major in outdoor ministry.

The counslers at this camp are the most dedicated I have ever har the pleasure of dealing with. On one occasion one counsler stayed up until 3:00 am talking with several boys in out youth group giving them advise and talking about concers that mattered to them in their life.at 5:00 am they were back up doing bible study and at 7 it was breakfast and a full day of activities and recreation. This camp has the kids best interest in all their decisions. The community has gained a valuable asset in having them.
My husband and I visited the camp and spoke with the director. They have a fabulous mission and are doing everything they can to accomplish that mission for the Lord's glory.
Snowbird Outfitters provides powerful opportunities for youth to grow in their faith through worship, wilderness adventure, and tangible service to the community. The engaged staff exhibit a sincere love for Christ and the youth and communities they serve in refreshingly real and tangible ways.
As a member of Venture Church, I have witnessed what Snowbird has done to the youth that go and come back. They come back completely excited for what God has planned for their lives. This is a great company, and they are opening their doors to youth across the nation!
Having worked on summer staff at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters for two summers, I have seen how effective this camp is at incredible outdoor recreation and Christ-centered ministry. Truly the recreation is second to none. They hire so many summer staff so that no student or camper that comes through will "fall through the cracks" so to speak. This kind of staff to student ratio leads to lasting friendships that go far beyond a week of summer camp. Truly this is why SWO is one of the greatest camps I have ever had the pleasure of attending and working for.
My son attended Snowbird for the first time last summer (2010) and it was a hit! He had had a previous church-camp experience that was a disaster - emotionally and spiritually. The trip to Snowbird however, was just the opposite! He returned, totally "on fire" for the Lord, was committed to reading his bible every morning, got further involved with our youth group, has taken on many areas of service in the church, and several times has said things that convict me of my attitude and actions. My husband has also attended Snowbird for a Men's Retreat and raved about it for months...still does! Needless to say, I am feeling totally left out of the awesome experience that is Snowbird. After hearing Brody Holloway speak a couple of times, I understand why this camp is so successful...He is an awesome Man of God, with a passion for God's Word and the youth of today, and it's all presented in an atmosphere of fun and adventure!
My son went on a retreat last summer with his youth group to Snowbird and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredible in their interaction with the students and their christ-like example. They made a huge impression on my son. He couldn't quit talking about the camp and the staff. He came back renewed in his personal relationship with the Lord. My son is going again this summer and can't wait. it was one of the best experiences in his life! As a parent, you can't ask for anything better. It is a fun place with solid biblical teaching.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters was a fantastic camp for our students to attend, not to mention a whole lot of fun for the chaperones as well. There is no end to the fun-filled activities, including a zip line, three-man swing, giant swing, archery, paint ball, white water rafting, caving, and a climbing tower. We also played basketball, soccer, and hide and seek.
Along with the fun, there were incredible chapel services w/ awesome music and solid teaching to encourage the students in their personal lives. These were supported by nightly small group sessions with the camp counselors in which the students can discuss situations they are going through with objective people who do not have any pre-judgements about them.
Finally, the camp actually has really good food w/ a full salad and soap bar and hot meals three times a day. it was the best "institutional" food we had ever eaten. Plus, there was a fully-stocked snack bar for in between meal times.
Heard about Snowbird for years. Went to my first mens retreat there last year and was blown away. Staff is incredible, committed 110 percent to what they do.
Very enjoyable atmosphere, plenty to do in spare time.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is an awesome place. i worked there for two summers and had a great experience there. SWO offers multiple off-campus extreme sports, along with a variety of on campus activities throughout a full week of camp. Even the adults who bring their students have the opportunity to relax and have fun.
i also saw a full time staff who was devoted to their volunteers and the students who came through their camp. The staff and volunteers show kindness and really care about the students who come for a week of camp. I have seen the lives of students changed beyond a week of camp. After experiencing the true love of Jesus Christ, they are changed.
SWO is a one of a kind camp!
I have attended the mens retreat and was there for half of the week when my daughters were there last summer. The fellowship with the men was awesome and hearing what Brody had to say about men and the huge responsibility we have as fathers and husbands was really eye opening. I am signed up and ready to go back for the next mens retreat.
Snowbird was where I spent two summers of my college career. I would not have traded the experience I received or the experience I was apart of for anything. The Lord's hand is on SWO because He is faithful to those who are faithful.

I have taken part in the activities of Snowbird Outfitters for 3 or 4 years now and my life would not be the same without it. As I was finishing high school, my life had many forks in the road so to speak and one was for good and others for bad. I had gotten spiritually and mentally offtrack and because of this needed guidance based on the Word of God and from solid, strong willed people. This is exactly what I received. If it were not for the activities and recreation that first intrigued me and caused me to go, I would have never reaped the additional benefits of spiritual and general life counseling that Snowbird offered and my life would be much different in a negative way. I am very thankful for all that Snowbird does and hope and pray that God will continue to provide for them so they can continue aiding others in this journey of life.
Strong Wall Academy, a new Christian school in Lawrenceville, GA chose Snowbird to host our first high school retreat. We arrived with 7 high school students and had a wonderful experience. The staff was so warm and friendly. The atmosphere was completely conducive for allowing our students to have great discipleship opportunities, reflection, as well as awesome recreational activities. Thanks to the SNO staff for making us feel welcome and for a great time to grow closer in the Lord and together as a school community!
I accompanied my children 14 and 12 years old to a youth group retreat. I honestly thought I was going on a youth group ski trip / retreat as a chaparon. I did not know I was traveling to a revival of my spirit through awesome worsip and praise! The Snowbird staff truly have their priorities in order. Living life first through praise, worship and pursuit of God and faithfully releasing Him into our everday lives is how we are supposed to live. This was a special time for me and I witnessed many of the youth receive the same as I did. My compliments go out to Snowbird for a safe and fun venue to send anyone in search of knowing or knowing more of God.
I came as a chaperone in 2004. It is a good spot for people to grow in their relationship with Christ. The teachings are Biblical. A lot of times I have heard Brody teach and he teaches on the students' level so they understand. I learned how to teach to students by Brody's example. Brody makes the teaching basic, but does not water down the truth.

I have been to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters many times and have always enjoyed being there and getting to know the people there. The recreational activities they provide are loads of fun. The services and breakout sessions are great and the services are even better! The staff members are very caring and helpful to campers. They are also very careful about running the different rec. activities like making sure harnesses are secure and can hold weight and other insuring the safetly of all that go to the camp. This camp is an incredible place and if i could go again. I would do my best to make the most of the week, weekend, or however long the session is that I would go!

My experience with Snowbird WIlderness Outfitters has been great! I really believe that this organization is set apart from the rest for many reasons.
The first reason is the way they treat their campers. I have never been to another camp that pursued their campers like Snowbird does. When I was a student at this camp I knew that my counselor cared about my spiritual walk and wanted me to grow. My counselor even kept in contact with me after I left camp, which shows this organization goes the extra mile to make sure it's students really experience a life change and not a week change.
The second reason this organization is set apart is because of how they treat their staff. This organization not only cares about the growth of their students but also the growth of their staff. The staff becomes like a family supporting one another. The staff is also poured into by the full time staff, which makes the summer staff more capable of pouring into the students.
I can list so many more reason why this organization is set apart, but mainly this organization is set apart by its mission and the passion of those striving to fulfill that mission. I work with students full time and I would not consider taking my youth to any other camp!

As a MS/HS principal and the President of an organization serving 70 K-12 schools, I would like to say the Snowbird provides the best overall experience of any camp we have sent our students to. They have done a tremendous job of building a camp that is both full of things kids love to do, and takes advantage of the many opportunities available in the surrounding area (skiiing, white water rafting, caving, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing, just to name a few we have participated in). Their staff has an incredible ability to instantly bond with teens, then lead them to begin or deepen their walk with Christ. The spiritual side of their program is life-changing. They truly have built an experience that excites students with FUN physical activities and ignites students in their spiritual walk. FIVE STARS!!!!
I've been attending Snowbird with student for 5 years and cannot think of a better camping ministry. I haven't found a staff anywhere that can match them in spiritual depth, or in personal attention given to the students. On top of that, no one can match their recreation program.

I am a student pastor in Florida and have attended Snowbird wilderness outfitters on four different occasions. Having been to several other camps and retreat centers i have found nothing that even comes close to the service SWO provides. i also graduated with a bachelors degree in recreational management from Florida State University and with my knowledge of recreation i whole heatedly say they are leading the pack.

Snowbird is the most amazing church camp I have ever been to. I have been for four years as a camper. This camp is where I truly began my deep relationship with God. It has an extreme foundation and everyday life of Christ. For me it was my only place where it seemed like Christ and His love and wisdom was everywhere for me, anywhere I looked. That is where God told me and called me into the foreign mission field! And Snowbird still encourages me in every way! I have been on one mission trip to Honduras with Louder Than Words and just this past summer God gave me the opportunity to do an internship for missions there. I have no clue where I would be if I did not go to Snowbird. Its also where I got training in out door skills with their program of OLD School and during it having experiences with God I have never had before! Never be comfortable with the knowledge of God. Snowbird is where life started for me.

Snowbird is a camp dedicated to building solid Christian character in young men & women as well as the employees, volunteer helpers, and affiliates. Having worked for a camp such as theres, brought children there as campers, and myself working in the recreation field, I can confidently speak about the camp. Dedicated staff, great recreation, purpose beyond themselves, relationships that impact lives, and more are all hallmarks of Snowbird. I hope to be in a role like theirs in my lifetime.
I'm especially impressed at the staff's dedication to living what they teach. Areas for improvement might be getting staff to bathe in the Summer more frequently, but then, that's kind of hip at Summer camp.
I have gone to snowbird as a youth leader for the past three years and have continually been impressed with the fact that they are so biblically based in everything they do. The staff are so grounded in the word and it guides everything that they do. This camp is full of fun and there is never a dull moment. I would highly recommend any one who is looking for a place to take their students for summer to take them to snowbird wilderness outfitters. I know you will not be dissapointed!!!!

I attended a couples weekend in hopes of answering questions about me/my relationship being ready for marriage. What a powerful weekend it was. The staff pulled out all the stops for a great retreat. The staff connect directly with all participants and are willing and able to offer counseling/guidance. The retreat help me see that my relationship was truly ready for marriage and gave me some tools to use, now that I am married. Thanks Snowbird.
Snowbird is the camp that no other camp can compare to, when you go to snowbird someone is there to talk to and will learn your name. At snowbird they truly care about you they don't just talk to you for how long your there, they will add you on facebook, text, or email you, anything to make it more personal.

I have worked at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters for three summers now. I can personally say that this is the greatest place i have ever had the privilage to work, alongside the greatest group of people i have ever had the privilage to work with. And as far as the Gospel is concerned, my theology was shaped and imacted dramatically by Snowbird. I have also seen and been a part of the work that Christ has done through Snowbird in thousands of other peoples lives, children and adults alike.

I have been taking a youth group to Snowbird Outfitters for six years. It is one of the most well run camps I have ever experienced. The youth love it and don't want to go anywhere else after they have been once. They have plenty of activities and staff/volunteers that relate to the kids and are glad to be there for them for spiritual growth or just to spend time with. I have never seen a camp that can make so much happen with so little to work with. This camp touches the lives of many youth and adults and I think they could use and very much deserve to the win this contest
Snowbird Outfitters Inc is the most amazing camp for young people I have ever been involved with! I have 2 older children now and went with them to every youth event that I could. Snowbird was by far my favorite! They have a very unique way of teaching our youth about God. They hold nothing back and the kids are learning before they even realize they are learning. I've witnessed lives completely changed from attending this camp. The camp leaders work around the clock non-stop, I'm sure lacking in sleep, to be there for every need of the youth that are there. This camp deserves and needs the extra dollars to further their ministry and reach even more youth to change our world. They also reach out to their community to do projects that help people in need, all in the name of Jesus.
I have been working/living in the Andrews community for 3 years. I am floored daily how much this organization has reached out to the community. They do a missions program that allows elderly, handicapped, and disabled persons to have work finished around the house that they wouldn't have had done otherwise.

Snowbird is not your normal summer camp for teenagers it is so much more. They keep everyone active during the day with all different types of outdoor activies to do. The preaching is not like what you get at other camps that I have been to. The preaching is real and straight forward. The people get to know you on a personal level and really care about you.
I have been affliliated with Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters since 1999. I was a camper for 2 years during high school and then served as a summer counselor from 2001 through 2004. It is the most outstanding organization I have ever had the priviledge of being a part of. Their focus on Christ-centered living and intense discipleship sets this organization apart from every other one. My years spent at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters were truly life changing.
Snowbird is a God place. It is one of the most amazing ministries I have ever had the blessing of encountering. The staff and volunteers at Snowbird truly have the heart and mind of Christ and are reaching out to the world exactly as Jesus did. Every time I have ever been to Snowbird, I have experienced God in a way that I never could have imagined. If you get the chance to take part in anything this camp/ministry has to offer, you will be blessed beyond all you can hope or imagine.

I was told that the camp was "unlike anything else" by my friend who had worked there as a counselor the two previous summers. She had recommended the camp to me. I didn't have plans to be a counselor at all the summer but after visiting the camp for a weekend I knew I had made the right decision and I was convinced she was right.
The full-time staff is authentic, completely passionate about the Lord God and sold-out to making the name of Christ known. They are the most self-sacrificing people I've ever known. I feel priveledged to know them. They invest in *every counselor that serves on staff. The relationships between the fulltime staff and summer staff and the summer staff and the students are extremely special. They are some of the richest friendships I have. The staff are wholeheartedly committed to living out the gospel- it is incredible and unlike any other Christian group, team or organization I have ever witnessed or been apart of.
The staff trains you well. They do everything they say we can expect from them- and more. The camp is run well. The camp director is the most God honoring man I've ever met in my life. You can see how the Lord has annointed him to lead this camp. The camp has been doing student ministry for over ten years now and they have learned from their experiences what they need to do to have the summer camp run well. It is apparent by the way the camp functions that the staff has great leadership skills and much wisdom.
I've seen them handle pressure. Spiritual, physical, circumstancial emergencies they have handled with integrity and love. It is obviously God at work through them to allow them to cope so well in such dire circumstances.
I have seen students come in and be changed forever by the presence of God resonating over the camp. I've seen more miracles than I have time to tell. God definately has His hand in Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters.

My 16 year old son, Alex was invited to attend Snowbird with a few of our neighbors. What a life changing experience this was for him! He had such an awesome time tubing, biking, hanging out with old and new friends. The impact the leaders provided to these kids lives was tremendous! My son grew spiritually that week. He was impowered by the play put on by the staff and discovered all sorts of new christian based songs. I would recomend this camp to all parents for their children. All around fun, safe, wholesome environment.
Thanks Snowbird Outfitters! We'll we back!!
The most awesome and spiritually uplifting camp I have ever experienced. Action packed and fun, but very spiritually challenging. The youth as well as the adults that were able to attend had truly life altering experiences.
One 15 year old girl from my group said, "I liked all the fun stuff, but I would go back just for the bible study and church services." My youth group came home on fire for God and ready to change the world!
The staff goes out of their way to be attentive to all the campers. I love the example that they set before the young people in attendance; that the life of a christian is not the usual stereotypical boring one. Living your life for Christ is fun and exciting, and you are not alone in your walk. There are many other young christians out there that go through the same things they do.
Great place to serve for the summer, definitely saw God work in unimaginable ways. I am sure God did more in my life this summer than I could have ever thought I would see him even do in the campers lives. Legitimate Christian Community where summer staff challenge one another and support one another. No one walks away unchanged and unaffected, all encounter a genuine experience with a Holy God.
Snowbird is a necessity for any youth group leader who desires there students to get the experience of all the best outdoor recreation as well as unmatchable teachings. The staff genuinely desire for each student to have a experience like no other in a facility that God is moving in. Students leave on fire for the gospel and I beleive its because of the staff and elements of snowbird that make that possible. This is a MUST for any youth leader!!! By train, plane or car just get there!!!

I was a camper at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters. I learned so much about God and His amazing qualities. I was able to grow in my faith and love for Him. I also participated in amazing activities that helped me to depend on God more
Legit camp. Plenty of extra-curricular activities and personal time. Staff is great, facility is good, and location is detached. Recommended.
I had not been able to come to Snowbird for a summer camp because of conflicts of a previous commitment. But I was able to go on a retreat with my youth group and had an AWESOME time! I enjoyed the experience and look very much forward to a summer camp at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters!
I have been gone to Snowbird Outfitters for four years as a camper and this past summer as a chaperon for my youth group. I love the worship services. The staff has a way of gripping the full attention of the campers with amazing dramatized skits. The campus is beautiful in the summer. The log cabins and other buildings fit well in the wooded areas. But several times there has not been enough space for all of the campers, staff and youth pastors to gather together and socialize in one place. Overall, it's a great experience for youth members and youth pastors alike.

I have visited SWO on 7 different occasions for various reasons ranging from just stopping by to paying for some type of retreat. If I had to choose one word to describe them it would be 'solid'. Now if I were able to choose a bunch more words I would say that season-in and season-out the staff is 'consistent' in both sound doctrine and application. They are 'patient' with each other and with visitors so as to be quick to listen and slow to speak. They are 'eager' to share the Gospel and build up the body. They are 'focused' and 'intentional' about what they are called to do in their ministry and in their personal lives, which are basically one and the same. So let's recap: Consistent+Patient+Eager+Focused+Intentional=Solid.

i was at the camp for about 2days and i was amazed by the staff how nice they were and how encourgin about teach us about god :)
well i came to the camp not really knowing what to do and kinda on the shy side. yet talking to all the staff and getting to know some of my fellow campers has been great. this camp does a lot more then just bring friends closer and bring you out of your shell. so far this is the only camp that i could honestly say is my second home away from home, and honestly i am going to hate having to leave this camp and leaving the staff knowing that there is a chance that i may not be able to spend my next visit with these pretty amazing people.
This camp really challenged me as a believer. I worked here as a counselor in 2009 and i joind their semester program known as O.L.D.(outdoor leadership and decipleship) school the following fall. there is very solid biblical teaching and great decipleship here. as a counselor it is your job to pour your every waking moment during the summer into encouraging teaching and fellowshiping with the students. i have never seen a camp that was so focused on decipling students and their counselors. this is not a ministry that is focused on emotional evangilism that has you feeling good at camp but once you reenter the real world that camp feeling leaves and you fall in the same ways you were in 2 weeks later. this camp is impacting lives and equiping students for a life of service to Christ.
My son worked there. From the stories he has told and after meeting his friends form camp I am very impressed. The campers always leave with memories that last and a renwed commitment to God. The camp attracts quality people and produces the same.

Nobody does camp as well as Snowbird. Nobody. They have more staff, and more fully equipped and qualified staff than any other camp I've been to in eleven years of youth ministry. We've participated in their Winter Camp, Summer Camp, and Summer Mission Camps, and every one has been amazing. They get it, and we are blessed every time we're there. They have also been an incredible partner in ministry during the whole year- checking on our students and leaders, keeping us up about camp, etc. We feel like family, and we love them.
I saw a huge change in my daughter who worked, at Snowbird, as a camp counselor. She came home full of enthusiasm and willingness to serve others. It was a growing experience for her and her walk with God. She came away with more confidence in herself as a result of her involvement with Snowbird staffers and camp participants
There are few words that can describe the amazing things that Snowbird is all about. This camp is a place filled with incredible opportunities to learn about Christ and provide a very secure environment for a.nyone who goes. This place has changed my life and taught me things I will never forget.

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters as a ministry has poured so much into my life. I have recieved so much love from this ministry and the Staff at Snowbird have become a familly to me. Snowbird is a ministry that uses recreation as a means building life-long relationships so that they can communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ in love. During the summer, the staff spends 16 long hours a day constantly working with kids and building relationships with them and get 4 hours of sleep per night at best. This is a ministry that is also faithul in serving its community in andrews, nc by fixing up houses, working in nursing homes, doing biblestudies with inmates, ect. Many lives, including mine, have been changed for the best while staying at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters.
Snowbird is an amazing organization that changes the lives of those who attend it. I went with the youth group from a church in IL and it was an amazing experience. The staff is totally info their career and committed to changing lives.
There were campers from our church who went and it transformed their lives forever. The impact of Snowbird even caused some to enter full time ministry.
I visited this camp to see my sons who were both summer staff workers. After one day I was regretting that I didn't have the opportunity to go as a camper and spend an entire week. A whole lot of activities for the campers and some very solid times of worship. Highly recommended for youth groups.

SWO is the most amazing and inspirational atmosphere I've ever experienced. It literally feels like you're entering an entirely different world with souled out Jesus Freaks and that is separated from the sinful world. Over the years I've attended, I've bonded with counselors such as Christian, Jakob, Travis, and Marty, that have all done a great prtion of the Lord's work and helped bring me to the young man I am today. Not only is their atmosphere breathtaking, but their attitude is Christian Insanity, and they can appeal to teenagers better than any other camp I've been to with their "Three Stooges" style humourous skits and their graphically motivational dramas.Without Snowbird, I have no clue where I'd be today in my walk with God.
I have gone to SWO for three years in a row. Every time it blows my mind again and again. It reconnects me on a level with God that I DESPERATELY need and SWO has helped me realize this. It has taken three years for me to come my closest to getting it right but this last trip has really affected me majorly. Showed me my struggles with sin and how i can fix it and i'm not alone and God cares. I really don't know where i would be without snowbird. most probably not where i am now and i'm so greatful that God would use them to communicate the necessary info to me. I LOVE SWO!!!!!!!!!

I have been going to this camp for 3 years so far and I can honestly say that the people there are real. They walk their talk. Thay have made a huge investment in my life. Whenever I needed to talk, they have always been there nomatter what. They care more for others than theirselfs. The councilers spend their whole summer investing in teens lives and repairing houses in their community when they could spend it doing things for themselves. Going to Snobird is the highlight of my year every year now!
I grew up going to this camp - and I am so thankful for that. They provide extremely solid Biblical based teaching that has helped me very much in my life. Also, the staff there are all some of the best counselors that I have ever met in my life, with the care that they have for each and every student. The recreation offered is also top notch, but as any of the staff will tell you - it's not all about the recreation, it's all done for the sake of the Gospel and to reach students with the truth.

We took about 15 youth to snowbird for a summer retreat. It was the most amazing trip. The staff at snowbird are all about helping the kids grow with the Love of Jesus in there heart. Our youth group left the week much closer and stronger. They have a true passion for the Lord and for helping our kids find a relationship with the lord.
Snowbird is the most exciting camp I have ever been to!! It was a life changing experience for me and made me become a stronger Christian. I had a rush of wanting to worship my Lord and Savior right at the time I got up in the morning. It was also packed full of worship services and tons of amazing activities. I went paint balling, horse-back riding, white water rafting and played on all the rec equipment. It was a blast, and I never felt tired even though we got in bed at 11:00pm each night!! My favorite of all the rides was the 3 man swing, I probably rode it about 5 times a day. I was always entertained and the food was delicious. But most of all, the preachers really touched my heart. One had a extremely incredible story to tell about his teen years, how he used to drink and abuse his surroundings, but now he confessed his sins and has been a follower of Jesus for a long time. But I really recommend this program because you will enjoy yourself by the perfromances from the staff ~Revelation Scene~ and at the end will have an emotional attachment that you will never let go. Its shocking how many lives they changed. It was the absolute best camp you will ever go to!!!

The staff are the strength of this program. The staff believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to work through their personal, exhaustive efforts to serve the Lord Jesus Christ by ministering to those who simply step foot onto the property. Even, if it means going to the ends of the earth, they will, and have done so, for the sake of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be proclaimed. The tremendous impact upon individuals for eternity, which marks this ministry, is primarily due to the great emphases placed upon each staff members ability to pour themselves out every hour during their 18 hour work days!
Snowbird’s staff has invested in my life for the past 7 years. People at SWO are all about building authentic relationships that encourage Christian faith. The sermons are deep and applicable. I enjoyed serving as a summer staff member.

I've been volunteering in the kitchen at Snowbird for seven years and the entire camp is awesome. My wife and I moved from Kentucky to be near Snowbird after we saw the dramatic difference his experiences there made in our son. He changed from a self-centered, rebellious highschool kid into a loving, giving, young man with high morals and a self-sacrificing spirit.
Since volunteering at Snowbird, I have seen the same type of transformation made in many lives. Aside from that, Snowbird works tirelessly in giving to the local community. The staff leads groups that do mission work for the underprivileged, such as replacing roofs, building wheelchair ramps, chopping wood for the elderly, and much more. They won a Lowe's hometown heroes award for their community work. The staff are also involved in coaching sports, substitute teaching, and otherwise engaging with the local young people.
There is really no other place quite like Snowbird for positively impacting both the community and the young campers who come through the camp's programs. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I was in the eighth grade when I went to Snowbird. I am now almost 20 and look back at it as a great life experience. There were a lot of fun and exciting things to do there, but even more important was how spirit filled all the staff were and how they helped make my experience at Snowbird a true and genuine look at how life with Christ is really suppose to be. You hear the talk, but at snowbird you see the walk! I would recommend that all youth make an effort to go to snowbird at least once in your life, because Christ will use it to change your life.
Snowbird literally has changed my life. The first time I went two years ago, my life has been changed forever. I LOVE the staff, I love the activities, the food, being outdoors, and most of all, rekindling my flame with God. "SWO" has brought me SOOOO much closer to God, and without being there and experiencing what they have to offer, I would not be where I am today. My last visit was in July of 2010, and that year I learned overall I need to do my part and share the Gospel. That is why I am on this Earth, I need to get the word out for Jesus Christ our Savior. There are no words to describe the feeling Snowbird makes one get. I love it.
Have witnessed many, many teens commit their lives to Christ, deepen their faith, or be called to a new mission for Him on the grounds of Snowbird.
Great fun and fellowsip.
God truly touched me, changed me, transformed me in this place. This is such a fun, impactful place to come every summer. I have now been 7 summers now as a student, and changed more and more into the image of Christ.

I have been working with teens for quite a few years and have been to many camps with church youth groups. My favorite is definitely Snowbird Outfitters. We took 14 teens there in the summer of 2009 and are going back in 2011 because of the wonderful program that they have. They had plenty of staff to interact with the kids, the activities were phenomenal and so varied that there was something for everyone! They do a fantastic job of keeping up with youth culture and provide an amazing opportunity for everyone to go out of their comfort zone and try something new. I went rapelling with several of the girls from my youth group. They didn't all enjoy it, but they all realized that they could push themselves more than they every thought possible. I saw them continue to try new things all week and watched as they grew more confident and ready to be challenged. It is a life-changing experience to push your boundaries and find out that you can become more than you think. I don't think most of those girls will go rapelling ever again, but they now have the confidence to try other things that seemed too scary or difficult before. Snowbird is also committed to meeting the spiritual needs of the campers. I saw kids question their faith and grow into a deeper understanding of who God is and why they should care. No student was belittled or treated badly by questioning everything they were told. In fact, they were praised for questioning rather than blindly believing what they were told and helped to work through their questions.
I went to Snowbird for summer camp in between my junior and senior years of high school. I was really impressed with everything that was done there. It was all very professional, yet at the same time, laid back. It really is a perfect environment for teenagers to be served in.
Snowbird, through the ministry of the word of God, and the work of the Spirit, helped to shape me into the person that I am today. It is a really good thing when a teenager gets to see young adults absolutely surrendered to their faith and active with it. Snowbird was one of the first places where I was exposed to good, solid expositional preaching. Brody really does an excellent job and understands the weight of preaching and teaching people.
I am going to be on staff there this summer. That in itself should speak volumes about how impressed I am with Snowbird. I would not want to spend a whole summer working with a ministry that I felt was doing something wrong. I count it a privilege to serve under and alongside the staff and leadership at Snowbird!

This is an amazing Christian ministry to kids, as well as the adult chaperones that come along with them. The facilities are top-notch. The outdoor activities are amazing. The amount of staff preparation and training is superb. The quality of staff is admirable. And the teaching is deep, challenging and insightful. I highly recommend this Christian ministry to anyone.
SWO is what its all about - they are amazing at student ministry! and building relationships with students. They are amazing, they put the gospel central which is what it is all about!

Snowbird is AMAZING, it's such a convicting camp. I wouldn't the Christian I am today without going there. This will be my fourth year going there and each year I am presented with new and amazing experiences. The recreation there is outstanding. You are presented with challenges everyday that you must over come without turning back. The breakouts offered there are to die for. the sessions are mandatory, but so worth sitting through! the staff there is so in love with who they serve and next summer I plan on being on servant team there! The camp is amazing through every aspect!
I went to Snowbird with my youth group a few years ago and the entire experience was phenomenal! I went to SMO (Snowbird Mission and Outreach) for a week and was deeply touched by how much the staff cared for the community around them and the relationships they built with everyone they meet with.

SWO is the best Christian camp that I and my family have ever been associated with. My son and wife have been to the camp every year for the past 5 or 6 years. I can personally tell you that the people there are God centered, bible teaching christians who have a calling and they work very hard to spread the gospel to the kids who come there.

Snowbird Outfiters is the best christian adventure camp on the planet. i look foward to going there every year with my church. You meet so many new people and the Counsulars become your best friends. They also do a great job with bringing kids so much closer to christ. The food/on campus activities/off campus activities/music/poeple/skits are the best. Snowbird is the best camp i have ever been to. And i cant wait to go back!
SWO does an incredible job of not only expressing the Gospel to teenagers in a way that they can understand, but SWO also lives an example of love and true relationship that speaks fathoms into lives of the teens and adults it serves.
Review from Guidestar
If i didn't vounteer at SWO over the past few summers each one would have been wasted. It is impossible to go and not be confronted with truth and scripture. It serves as a place to show students just how important thier lives are in the eyes of God. He has used this place to bring up leaders in the faith.
Review from Guidestar
Our Church has utilized Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters for several years now and all of the campers, adults, chaperones have all come away knowing that the gospel was presented without blemish and God was glorified. I personally believe that there is no other Christian camp in all of America that can grab and hold the attention of young people, and then challenge them to walk with Christ as does SWO. That would be enough for me but the recreation, atmosphere, sheer beauty of location and dedication of the staff and summer volunteers makes SWO outstanding and in a class by itself. There is nothing I would change and I would recommend this camp to any pastor looking for a camp for their young people.

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is one of the best camps I have seen. The counselors are well trained and work wonderfully with the campers who attend. These people give their all to the work there and it shows. So many lives have been touched by the people at Snowbird. I hope everyone can help them.
In the summer of 2010, I attended Snowbird Outfitters Summer Camp for one week. I went there looking for a good time in a heavy Christian environment, a great time doing all the many activities outdoors and I saw it as a time to make plenty of new friends. After one day at Snowbird however, I realized I was going to get much more than that. I realized very quickly that this wasn't just some camp that gave you a few Bible verses, a smile and then sent you on your way; no this was a place where you became a true disciple of God. Instead of doing some touchy feely thing like gathering around a campfire to sing Kumbaya, you got the experience of a lifetime going whitewater rafting down the river and learning about God from the experience. Instead of seeing some little play, you saw a full scale mock battle take place that would rival any Hollywood made movie. The most important thing though, was that instead of skirting around God and learning the things that gave you a good feeling, you learned everything about God. By this I mean that you learned he was a God of extreme mercy and grace but he is also a wrathful God. This message alone was enough to make me want to repent of anything I had ever done and ever would do right then and there, hoping it would be enough. Knowing this has given me a new outlook on life and has taught me to do the right things even when noone is looking. For teaching me this truth, I would say that Snowbird is deserving of any and every grant it applies for, so that it can continue to spread this message and change lives.
The sense of dedication I see from current and past staff is phenomenal. It is one of the few camps I know of where the staff returns year after year. I'm not sure what Brody does to inspire them, but there isn't enough money in the world to buy that kind of dedication.
The first time I went Snowbird was about four years ago. I loved it, I kept begging my youth paster to let us go back. I have learned so much about where I stand in my relationship with Christ, the past few times I have been. !!(: :)!!
Snowbird Outfitters was the best camp i have ever went to. The counselors and staff there are amazing there very nice and are always there for you, they make you feel at home! Being surrounded by everyone at SWO and hearing the messages from the leaders really inspired me and showed me how important God is. They made me see that God should always come first and when you have other things in front of God you dont have the right relationship with him. I enjoyed learning and doing all the out door activities during recreation time. Snowbird is the absolute best and i hope to visit again real soon.
Snowbird has literally been great to us students it has really helped us to grow in or faith and has taught us so much about God and showed us students so much love. Snowbird has and environment where you can buckle down and focus on God in a fun and loving environment they have given so much and they deserve to win this contest.
I came to Snowbird camp this past summer and also this February break. The staff is so welcoming and friendly, and you can tell they don't hire just anyone. They are so loving and make you feel wanted. The teachings here are so in depth and wonderful, and really make you rethink your life. The activities test your abilities and strength, and help you grow closer with your group. Overall this camp is a really great place to go and an awesome ministry.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters has played a major
roll in my family's life. They have exhibited love and acceptance which cannot be measured.
My husband and I along with our four children lived overseas working with an NGO when my husband was murdered by Al-Qaida in 2009. Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters didn't know my family personally, but took interest in helping us in any way they could. They spent that summer raising funds to send to us in our time of need. When my family and I left for North Africa in 2002, we had sold all of our belongings hoping to stay long-term. Therefore, when we were moved back here to the USA so abruptly, we found ourselves without a home or vehicle. With the money they raised we were able to purchase a vehicle. They are always looking for ways to serve. They are unparalleled in their excellence in selfless service. I can think of no other organization more deserving of this reward.
It is a very great Camp I really loved it and the Volunteer's there and there are really good to talk to aobut things going on in your life I have meet some good people that I am able to still be freinds with

snowbird outfitter inc. really changed my life from the first time i went there. the staff is really nice and friendly and really have a wanting to do what they do. it amazes me how they could be in such a good mood every single day they wake up because i know they dont get much sleep and have to get up energized for the next day. snowbird is truely amazing.
Great camp with high emphasis on building real relationships with students in a God centered atmosphere. I would recommend Snowbird over any other camp that I have personally experienced. Students can expect to be challenged physically, emotionally, and most of all spiritually. A visit to Snowbird can change the heart and soul of any individual and one can expect to be challenged for the duration of life through one simple encounter with the power that God is demonstrating there.

I was a camper at Snowbird and it was an amazing experience for me and everyone I know that went. It challenged me in areas and it also answered questions for me as well.
SWO has been a part of my summers since as long as they have been in Western NC. Whether its the Rodeo with its Jesus kicking Satan's but skit or just hanging out worshiping with the campers SWO has inspired, challenged, encouraged by walk with Christ.
Not only has SWO affect my walk but it also has affected the community to which they are nestled. The Andrews community has to say SWO has made a difference in people's lifes whether it be in the trailer park painting and helping with home repair, in town sharing Christ at the local coffee shop, at the Rock (Christian youth center) getting real with creating relationships with the youth in Andrews or just helping the area churches with missions. SWO is God's impact in the mountains!
God always authenticates His work-and SWO is the real deal!

I have been to Snowbird many times, and I am always blown away at the maturity of the staff, the quality of the recreations, and the depth of the teaching. I would recommend this camp for any church who has a desire to see its young people grow in their relationships with Christ.
A Great Christian Camp that really serves God to the Best of their abilities. Their main goal is to really get to know the kids and spend as much time with them as they can, while sharing the gospel constantly to them. Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters really tries to provide a God centered environment while having as much fun with the kids as possible.
As a parent of a teenage son, I am so happy that my child as gotten the opportunity to spend several weeks of these formative years of his life at Snowbird. He truly enjoys the high adventure activites he gets to participate in while there. But, more importantly, he is loved and confronted with truth every moment he is there. I can't wait for my next child to attend for his first time this summer!
Review from Guidestar
I've been to SWO 3 times, and every time it is more life impacting than the first. I love it there so much that I've applied to work at the camp all summer as a volunteer, and if I get it, I wouldn't feel like I lost a summer at all, I would feel like I gained so much more.
SWO is a life-changing, fun-filled, memorable camp! It's everything you'd want in a traditional "North Carolina summer camp" experience, but more - you learn about the God who makes it all possible. SWO is a place where you can't help but to grow closer to the Lord & learn more about Him. It is a very, very special place in my heart.
My son has attended Snowbird Outfitters Camp for the past two summers, and each time, he came on on fire for Christ. The Bible study and drama presentations made a lasting impact on his Christian walk, and it shows in his daily lifestyle. The recreation activities are second to none, and "right up his alley"! He is a high school senior now, but hopes to make one more trip to this amazing camp!
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is doing more for today's youth that any camp I have ever encountered. Through personal relationships, biblical teaching and excting recreation, Snowbird teaches students the value of intimate community with their peers and a close relationship with God. Students walk away changed every week of camp and throughout the year with weekend retreats. My experiences as a summer counselor have impacted my life in so many ways. I have developed relationships at Snowbird that I know will last a lifetime both with staff and campers. There is no better environment that I know of to get students to open up about their lives and their struggles seeking true growth and healing. In our culture, too many people overlook the teenagers around them but at Snowbird they are seen for their true potential and worth to be leaders in their world.
Snowbird CHANGED my life. For the better! I was the happiest I have ever been while I was there. All of the staff and volunteers were friendly, kind, helpful, and FULL of spirit! My experience there could not have been any better.
I worked at Snowbird for a little while keeping the books. It was a diffcult time in my life, I had just lost a job and was looking for work when Mr. Steve called to see if I would be interested in working at snowbird. So, without much thought about it I took the job. I loved hearing the Word every morning and getting to know each one that was there. I couldn't believe that God had opened up such a door for me, it was really what I needed to at the time. Well, I came to love each one there and formed lasting friendships with some. God is has truly worked and is still continuing to bless Snowbird. I am happy to say that the camp began to grow so much that they became in need of an accountant to take over the books. I will continue to pray and support Snowbird Outfitters in many years to come. I feel that this camp has changed so many lives and will continue to do so in the future.

My daughter was involved with snowbird for a few years and I must say that she learned how to be a leader. She helped as a counselor for a few years and through teaching others it made her more confident and more understanding. She has been able to take that experience and blend it in her marriage and now with her two daughters.
Snowbird is such an amazing place to put kids in. The outdoor environment brings kids to a place of comfort as well will sometimes put them outside of their comfort zone.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters has such a huge passion to bring campers, leaders, and even staff closer to Christ. SWO has been such a huge part in my life that I know the influence from staff have made me focus on what really matters. I not only was a staff here but I was also a camper for four years. They influenced me with my walk with Christ and that then lead me to be a counselor. It is such an amazing enviroment. The nature, people, and the Holy Spirit, flourish with encouragement and love at Snowbird.
I went to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters Summer camp last August. At first I was thinking 'Sure, there are all sorts of "Extreme" camps for kids, but none for teens' -I was really, REALLY wrong.
My week at SWO was amazing, I did everything from Horseback riding to White water rafting, to riding a Zipline, and in everything we did we learned about God through it- There's nothing like White water rafting in Refreshing cool water to show you God's awesome power and providence in your life.
The Messages in the Coop as given by Brody and the Big Kahuna were really radical and down to earth- they taught about real life stuff in a way that really clicked with me- They didn't Preach at me like they expected me to understand Shakespeare, but they didn't talk to me like they expected me to be in elementary school either.
The Break-out sessions after the morning Coop session were the BEST: I mean, we got real, and Important information in a small group setting- It really gave the information a sense of urgency, and I felt like I was part of a group working towards a common goal that held significance- Like I was a soldier in a briefing.
One of the things you could choose to do with your time was to join up with a missions group and go into the near-by town and help out. My group went to a nursing home and hung out with the residents for a while, and it was a really great time.

I am a youth pastor, and we have been to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters several times. The thing we like about the camp is that it is very Christ oriented. From the moment you get there til the moment you leave, you can feel the spirit moving. The staff is great all of the way from the owner down to the counselors. They are very focused on the teens and making sure that they not only know Christ, but also apply his love to their lives. I would recommend this camp to everyone!!!
This charity is the best I know. The Snowbird Staff really knows how to reach youth with the gospel of Jesus Christ. I don't know how to fully explain all that they have done for me personally and for my church in general.
Review from Guidestar
Snowbird has a desire to see students grow in Christ. In order for a person to genuinely know who they are, they must first see the disparity of their situation. I love who the Gospel is the forefront of everything that is done at Snowbird. That being said, we also like to play hard and have fun. The rec is so much fun and there are many different ways for students to expand themselves and do things out of their comfort zone.

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters has changed my life. What they do has had more impact on my life than any other organization I have ever participated with.

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is an amazing Christian ministry. They have invested in so many students over the years and are committed to sharing the Gospel with this world. I had the opportunity to serve with them last summer and it was more than clear that their intentions are wholeheartedly to serve the Gospel.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters teaches students who they are as a person! Defining your life by God and who HE has called and purposed you to be in this WORLD. It is the most challenging camp anyone could ever attend and you will not leave their an unchanged person. Snowbird incorporates fun extreme activities to challenge fear and insecurities as well as plugging amazing encouragement and answers for teenagers struggles in finding themselves! They teach Respect for yourself and others, discipline, love, serving, giving, and so many more values for life! I LOVE SNOWBIRD!!

Our church has been sending youth to Snowbird for many years. The youth come home with such great atories of how their life was impacted by the worship and bible study during the week.
Review from Guidestar
I loved this camp because they have lots of fun camp activities and lots of Bible study to help us better focus on the Lord. My favorite this week has either been the paintball or the swings we do every day. I cant wait to come back next summer.
This is the best camp in the entire world. No where else have I met a staff so excited to be serving people. The camp's worship services are incredibly moving and the speaker, Brody, is amazing. We've had many counselors with our group and they have all been very encouraging and helpful. The food there is delicious and healthy. I love it so much that I am applying to work there this summer!
I had no idea who Christ was when I first went to this camp. They showed me who he was in a groundbreaking way and put me onthe path to change my life and become a new man in Christ. The week I spent there helped to change my life.

The people at Snow Bird offer a neat camp/outfitters experience. Think- cool outdoor activities (zip line, ropes course, foam pit, lake etc.), with a Christian atmosphere and retreat type setting. They provide meals, speakers, and can also help you get set up to go skiing at nearby resorts. We brought a youth group here- and everyone enjoyed it.
I worked at Snowbird last summer, and it was one of the best summers of my life. The way the camp fosters to its campers is really amazing. The campers are giving amazing recreation activities, worship services, teaching sessions, and food. The summer staff is trained very well in fostering to campers needs. Working on staff was an amazing experience, as I learned how to work with a team and depend on others. I learned so much about making my life about the Gospel. Some of my favorite times was getting to sit down with another staff member or camper and discuss the Gospel. Snowbird does a great job fostering a wonderful environment for both their staff and campers.
I had the opportunity to be a chaprone for our youth group's trip in July 2007. From the moment we drove onto campus we were swarmed by crazy college kids who made us know they had comitted this week just for us. I believe we came in the middle of their season, but you would never have known it. The energy from the skits and speakers, to the band was like it was their first week. This group has such a passion for teens and really have made the entire experience so geared to them. They SEE the love of Christ, not just hear it. This week was extra difficult for the entire staff becasue they had just lost several counselors in a car accident weeks before. They take all the responsiblity of wanting to get to know your kids to the extreme. We had specific counselors who were with us 24 hours a day. To see how they have so many campers return as counselors shows how it really effects teens for years to come. There is no lack of telling these kids some of the stupid things they are doing and how to change that, but they balance it with the gross factor kids love (all purpose mayo skit). They are reaching a generation that is so plugged in they can't hear God. Snowbird puts them in a place that for a week they can be get away from the media and hear God. The week ends with a drama performance outside straight out of the book of Revelations. This experience still gives me chills today as I watched them act out the last days on earth before Jesus returns. The staff has made this their life's work and it shows in everything they do. Please award them this contest and the prize of $5000 because it will be used in the best possible way. Honestly it was so magical being there is was hard to go back home. This award could allow more kids to know what it feels like to be wanted and important for the first time.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is a phenomenal Christian Camp. This camp has impacted my family's life tremendously! The counselors genuinely care about the campers and their spiritual state. Some of the counselors that worked with my children have stayed in touch with them years later. The camp is Biblically sound with solid teaching and the administrative staff and counselors mix fun extreme recreation with good foundational Biblical teaching. They have a variety of different programs including Old School, camp, Missions, etc. Our family continues to go back as campers, chaperones, and just to visit year after year. We love them!

My children have both worked at Snowbird and the impact on their lives has been dramatic. We could not be more thankful for the godly counsel and direction they've received in their lives at such important stages of their lives. They are both young adults now and are still very much involved in Snowbird and will continue to be for years. My daughter even met her amazing husband there and was married there. The most important reason the camp has been such a success is because the leadership is incredible. The success of any organization starts with its leadership. God has place an incredible team together there - that cannot be overstated. My life is blessed because my children are strong in their faith and have grown closer to the Lord because of this ministry. My children are and will continue to be leaders and will impact the lives of others in positive ways - much because of the impact of Snowbird.
I have been to Snowbird and been a part of the ministry they do for over 5 years. Every time I am there, when I have taken youth to be a part of summer camp and winter camp, we have all left completely blessed and honored to be there. Snowbird is an amazing place and they are so deserving of this $5,000 award and more.
An awesome experience with an amazing staff who pour their hearts and lives into the campers!
This camp is filled with activities and staff (about 4:1 student to staff ratio throughout the summer) to keep things at full speed all week. They have three full meals a day, with several on campus activities, from a giant 3-man swing to a huge foam pit, to keep everyone more than busy. They also offer several off-campus activities throughout the week including white water rafting, wake boarding, and repelling! The most attractive aspect of this particular campus is the focus though. They are there for one reason, to praise the Lord and ensure all those who come through hear of His greatness and love. There are several services daily where there are amazing skits, clear and instructive teachings, and phenomenal music filled with passion and soul. I have been privileged enough to visit several times and each time I leave better off than I came - closer to God and stronger in character.
Snowbird Outfitters is an amazing camp in Andrews, NC. It was at this camp that I learned how to love God and through that truely love other people. The people at the camp strongly desire to teach people how to be changed by the Gospel, and how to live life well through the Gospel.
Although I've never actually been to camp at Snowbird, it is still a big part of my life because of the positive impact it has had in the lives of the youth of our church, including several members of my immediate family. I am always amazed at the stories they tell of the adventures and activities they have experienced while camping at SWO. More importantly than the fun and adventure they look forward to every year, is the spiritual growth they experience while there that continues in their daily life even after they return home. The camp staff puts the camper's individual spiritual growth top priority and leads and encourages campers to study their Bibles and pray.
These young people are tomorrow's leaders and when a place like Snowbird Wilderness Camp leads our youth to honor God and respect themselves and others, they have made a positive impact not only on the present, but also the future of our country.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters gave me a very fun, exciting and adventurous experience and helped me really grow as a person. I really enjoyed the atmosphere there and the love and care shown by the people that worked there. I have never had a camp experience better than Snowbird.
I found snowbird to be a very great experience that I knew I could have fun, grow in my faith, get a better relationship with my friends, and just have a great time. I am definitely going to try to come next summer.
My husband is the youth pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Newnan Georgia and we have visited SWO on numerous occassions with our youth group. We love the dedication of each staff member to ensure that no teenager leaves their campus without knowing who Jesus Christ is. We have enjoyed all the activities as well as the music and bible sessions. We just recently attended the ski retreat this past December and our youth group has decided to attend their summer camp at snowbird instead of going to Universal Studios! I can't wait for another exciting week at SWO! What a blessing to have such a great place for teenagers to spread the gospel!
My daughter has camped at SEVERAL Christain camps over the last 4 to 5 years, the later being at Snowbird for the last two summers in a row. She absolutley LOVES it! Since her first stay other youth activities are held in comparison to SNOWBIRD and they're not even close. "the food was good, the fun was great and the counselors were the best of all" she made quite a few friends that she she stays in touch with year round. I've heard her encourage others to experience Snowbird .. and she get's so excited just talking about the fun and friends. The prayer time plus the breakout session's really gave her the courage to talk about and share her faith. The overall experince gave her the comfort to step out and share his word... May God Bless the ones that are answering his call.
SnowBird is an extreme Christian youth camp...extreme in its activities, in its sports, in its enthusiam, in its faith and mostly in its love for God. At no time is there a 'down' moment except when one is planned. As an adult chaperone, I never felt I had to 'monitor' the kids. They were always so involved with either an activity or a break-out session or a small-group time that they never felt alone or disengaged. The leaders at this camp don't allow campers to 'zone out' and not participate. Everyone, no matter what their skill level or faith level, is pulled into the events and come away knowing themselves and God better than when the week began! I highly trust and recommend this camp! Our youth has been here four out of seven summers due to the dynamic nature of the SnowBird experience.
snowbird was very fun. they provide a lot of fun activities and a lot of spiritual guidance. they staff there are very welcoming and nice to the campers. all the staff have huge hearts for everyone.
my daughter has been going to Snowbird for the last three years. I feel this time away from the distractions of the world help her grow as a christian. It provides her the opportunity to help and meet people who live in a different enviroment then we do. She learns how just one person can make a difference.
My husband and I have been to Snowbird 4 times. Three times for couples retreats and once as youth chaperones. If I had to describe this camp in 2 words I would use LIFE CHANGING!! It was one of the most amazing times of our lives. The staff was unbelivable, we feel like family when we are there and honestly never want to leave. It is incredible the depth of what we walk away with each year. My husband and I will go every year as long as we can. We are amazed each time we go we walk away closer to each other but most of all Closer in out intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. The atomosphere is fun and exciting and loving.

Snowbird has affected the lives of thousands of students. Our church has supported them financially for many years. Their extreme outdoor sports are top notch. Their small groups sessions and large evening gatherings are very affective in touching the hearts and lives of students. I have seen this first hand by attending many events at Snowbird, and my daughter served as a counselor there many summers. Their staff/student ratio shows how much they care about investing the lives of young people.
I am a house parent at a boy's ranch in N. Georgia. Snowbird reached out in love to our boys a couple of years ago and asked us to come free of charge just to minister to the boys in our care. They gave us 4 fun filled and awesome days. Our boys come from the foster system so most of them had never been to any camp like this.
We had so much fun and the staff and the administrators could not have been more helpful and loving. Some of the staff even came back from other states just to help out while we were there.
They deserve to win any contest they are entered in. They look past the god of greed and see the need...of ours and others.
I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!

Snowbird Wilderness is incredible and is living out their mission. After working there for a summer, I was able to see the way the staff truly followed their mission to impact youth with the message of Christ and to really challenge the campers that come. Not only are the campers changed, so are the summer staff. I was able to really take a step in my faith in understanding why I believe what I do. The sense of community at this camp is unlike any other I've ever been a part of. I only worked there one summer but have been back to visit over the past two years and always feel welcomed and encouraged by the staff. We like to say, once you're part of Snowbird family, you're always part of the family.
Snowbird is the best camp I have been to. They train seasonal staff very well, go to great lengths to help the campers, and form a great sense of community in a short amount of time. They offer great recreation activities, and the food isn't bad either :) It runs, for the most part, very smoothly, even when emergencies come up. The staff is very dedicated to what they do, and it shows. Campers come back year after year because of the staff.

these people are cool man. I really like this place. The food is good and the facilities are wonderful.
Ive had a lot of fun here at snowbird. The councilors are great and very friendly. I am enjoying the activities with all my friends.
My experience at Snowbird was unbelievable. The volunteers there were so much fun and had an amazing passion to speak about the Word of God. All of the volunteers had very outgoing personalities. I was never bored! White-water rafting was one of my favorite things that we did:). It was freezing, but so much fun! The three-man swing was another favorite thing that we got to experience:). The Bible studies with the volunteers were so personal, that it was actually easier to talk in front of them. They wanted to help us with our Christian walk; i will never forget that. All of the volunteers at Snowbird made a huge impact in my life, and they will forever be on my heart.
Snowbird is a phenomenal camp. When I first went to the camp I was astounded at the amount of doctrine that they cover and are open with. They are by far the best camp I've ever been to or heard of because they mix extremely sound and strong Biblical Doctrine with fun. Not only will they help you grow spiritually but also make sure that you have a blast with recreations and activities. They use the many outdoor activities as a great platform for their witnessing opportunities as well.
I was a prayer volunteer for the Snowbird summer camp this past summer, and my son worked on the camp staff for the summer. I saw the incredible impact it had upon his life as he grew in his spiritual walk with God and utilized his time to serve others. As a prayer partner, I was blessed to receive regular updates about the way the lives of youth were being changed in positive ways throughout the summer. I would recommend this camp for youth and as a parent of a staff member.
I worked for snowbird the summer of 2010. It was amazing! Its a life changing experience for not only staff but campers. I saw God work through so many lives. If it wasn't for the full time staff's commitment and passion for God's word this ministry would not be what it is today. It is the best thing ever!!
I live at Snowbird as an intern. I was a camper for 4 years, worked on their program from high schoolers to work during the summer, and am now interning. Snowbird is an amazing place. Their goal to have a 1 to 4 staff to student ratio is something not found in Christian camps today. I know personally the effect of having a staff member specifically desire to know my relationship with the Lord. At Snowbird I learned the importance of studying the Word and what true Christian community looks like. Snowbird is the ideal place for any youth pastor, they provide awesome recreation such as, during the summer -white water rafting, canoeing, climbing tower, paint ball, lake tubing, and much more. But the large amount of recreation is only to get the students here.. once here we immerse them into the Word and twice a day have them in services which include incredible worship and impacting skits. Snowbird has taught me so much in my life and I am thankful to now be able to give back to it.
My daughter has been a part of this ministry since 2000. I have seen significant growth in her spiritual life in the past 11 years. I attribute it to the Lord's hand in her life. He has used the staff at Snowbird in a real manner to help in this shaping and maturing of my daughter. There exists a deep desire in the hearts of each staff to pursue the Lord and it is exemplified in their service toward one another and to each camper that comes to camp. Snowbird holds a very special place in my daughter's life and in my heart.
It was by far the best summer camp I have ever been to, and honestly changed my life, specifically my relationship with God. I knew that any questions I may have about religion, no matter how sticky they may be, there was a counselor I could always talk to, or even the head speakers if I needed. The staff also went way out of their way to remember us (even though there were more than 2,000 campers each summer), our names, where we were from, and little things about us. I had staff coming up to me 2 and 3 years later, after not seeing them the whole time, and they still remembered my name, where I lived, and asked where my sister was!!

I attended snowbird wilderness outfitters all four years of my high school. It is one of my favorite memories to look back on. God is surely moving there! the staff is so loving and serving of the Lord. Through this camp, i was challenged each visit with something new to grow from.

I grew up in Andrews NC and was discipled by the staff at Snowbird. It was a pivitol time in my life since my parents were going through a divorce at that time. Later I volunteered in their jr. staff and was even further impacted by the staff's example and how they pointed me to Christ. My walk with Christ has never been the same.

Snowbird has provided me with the best three weeks of my life. This summer will be my last summer to go as a camper and I will be very sad not being able to go anymore. Hopefully I will one day return as a counselor and even send my children there. Along with providing tons of outdoor adventure and fun, Snowbird is a place uniquely filled with the Holy Spirit. The counselors here are what make the camp so wonderful. They are led by a great, humble man and have the goal of spreading the truth of the gospel to every person who goes there. Snowbird is Great!
Snowbird has indirectly impacted my own life in so many ways! I have come to know on a personal level, several of the staff members, who have been a great encouragement to me spiritually!
I have been to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters many times. The staff are all awesome and do a great job working with youth and adults alike. I would go and stay up there year round if I could. Love those guys and gals.. Keep up the good work
I have attended Snowbird at least once a year for the last 6 years. Every time I go, the experience is always memorable. They hire students to run the camp that truly care for everyone attending. I have never been to a place where I felt more welcomed right away by people I didn't even know. The work that is being done at Snowbird Outfitters has changed many peoples' lives and will continue to do so for a very long time. They have an excellent group of leaders running the operation and I'm proud to have been a part of that for so many years.
An awesome place with people who care about individuals. These people are so much fun and have a heart to serve! I have never met people more dedicated to helping today's youth. My life would be a lot different if it had not been influenced by these people!
Our youth at Eastview Baptist Church have been participating at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters for several years now. Several times I have chaperoned our youth and find that the majority of the time the staff and counselors that are employed are competent for this role also. They are a very Christian oriented camp and are truly working in the will of God. I have seen this first hand.
One summer I had the privilege of being employed by Snowbird and found myself not as informed on scripture as the counselors and staff. I found myself wanting to know more and really started to look into and study the scripture more frequently than I had in the past. I was really ashamed of myself for letting these young adults know more of the Bible than I did.
As far as our youth here at Eastview, you would expect them to tell of all the neat and exciting things that Snowbird had to offer, as far as recreation goes. They have really amazed me that the recreation is the last thing that is talked about, if at all. They come back so on fire for the Lord from the teaching, breakouts, preaching, and building of friendships from other groups that are also participating at Snowbird.
I cannot think of a better place that I would want to be apart of in the future or have our youth be a part of. Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters in my book deserve to receive this fund more than any other.

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters (SWO) is by far the best nonprofit organization I have ever had the pleasure of working or participating with. SWO is a christian camp that provides an experience like no other. All of the staff are the most friendly, caring, helpful people you can find. Despite the fact that there are hundreds of kids there every week of the summer, the staff makes you feel special and loved, not just a number. From personal experience, my faith in Christ has grown substantially because of SWO. Every summer, I would look forward to that week I would spend in the mountains with some pretty amazing christians. Every single person that attended the camp that I knew of loved it and wanted to go back. Please choose this organization because with the money they win, SWO will be able to spread the wealth among thousands of children and teens throughout the years.
My nieces and nephews have all gone to Snowbird for youth camp and my son will go this year. For one niece in particular the experience was life changing. She went from what I would describe as a troubled youth to being a counselor at Snowbird in later years. She is now in college and will soon receive her masters in Christian counseling. The changes we saw in her were dramatic after her first experience at Snowbird. What an awesome organization!!
Snowbird has a tremendous impact on today's youth . Through the summer camp program, I have witnessed SWO's excellence in providing not only Biblical teaching, but encouragement and counceling of youth who face the negative influences of today's culture. On top of that, the youth receive a packed week of wilderness adventure that keeps them active and motivated. SWO has been a blessing not only to the youth at our church, but also to our family personally. For that we will forever be thankful.
Amazing!!! God centered place, you come away feeling refreshed and renewed. More biblical truth was poured into me. The counselors were also filled with wisdom and love. The impact of Snowbird is contagious. There needs to be more places like this in the world.

Snowbird radically changed my life forever. The discipleship, fellowship and overall growth that I experienced in the two summers I worked there cannot be expressed fully. The continued relationships that I enjoy with the staff, even years after working there, continue to encourage me regularly. I've seen lives changed in the students that I have brought there. I've experienced the life change in myself personally. I am indebted forever to the work that God has done through the special ministry of Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters.

This place is literally the most amazing place in the world!!! God changed my life forever more here. I love the way I do because for the first time I saw the people that work here year round love like Jesus!!! Person after person continues to tell me how this place has changed their life!
I was a parent chaperone for 4 years while my children were in the youth. The counselors are AMAZING, and you can tell that they all love the Lord, and will do what it takes to bring him glory.
They have such cool recs that the teenagers LOVE, so the recs definitely draw them there. However, the head of the camp, Brody Holloway, truly knows how to pour into those counselors and feed them with the Word, which in turn causes the counselors to feed into the teenagers!
I try to tell everybody what a great camp it is!

Snowbird is definitely a place that has the presence of God all throughout it. Everything about it is to bring glory to God and to disciple and encourage students.
I have worked in the nursery for various parties and spent a lot of time visiting throughout the summer. I have been impressed by the solid people who run this camp. They are honest and encouraging. They have a great mission and act it out in their lives.

Was a camper here for years, then was on servant team this past summer. This place CHANGED MY LIFE! They pour their heart and soul into everything they do!
Snowbird has been the foundation the God chose to use in my life. The people of SWO are unlike any other on the planet. God has used their faithfulness and love to serve me and many others. I am eternally grateful for the time, love and energy that was poured into me by these people. They will forever have a special place in my life.

I am a parent whose family has been impacted for many years by God working through Snowbird's ministry. My daughter began helping at Snowbird when she was in college at Liberty University. God used her to influence many individuals, and He also kept her safe on innumerable trips to 'camp' sometimes in vehicles that could barely make it around the block. She began spending all her spare time at Snowbird, so with me living so far away in Texas, believe me, I made it my business to find out what this "Snowbird" place was all about. I prayed that it was not some kind of weird 'cult' or a place that was run by pseudo-fake christians out to further their own crazy or sick agendas that would hurt people. I discovered very early on that it was truly run by sweet Christians who were dependent on God's guidance and blessings that made personal sacrifices daily to keep such huge facilities functioning. What they go thru each meal to just feed all the kids and keep everything clean is amazing! God gave me peace and comfort as I 'lost' my daughter to Snowbird. It was revealed to me that my daughter was led by God to give herself to His divine purposes, and she followed His lead in her life. In describing that my daughter went off to college and never came back to Texas, I've said that she's been like a missionary at an extreme sports Christian camp in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. Mountain-climbing, skiing, white-water rafting, rodeos, so many different things--anyone can find something to enjoy. Being from West Texas, just knowing they have trees and water would make me want to be there! When I visited Snowbird and got to ride the zip-line, etc. I was very impressed with the safety training of their staff. The Revelation drama I experienced was truly unforgettable--the depictions of people acting out Satan's forces in the play---and just the number of actors involved was chilling. When Brody rode the horse down the mountain in the drama, with the music and booming voice seeming to be coming straight from heaven, that was more evidence of how tirelessly the staff works to bring the message of Christ to all who attend. I've truly been a blessed parent. My baby daughter, Keri (Wallace) Vaught became a Snowbird staff member, a wife to James whom she met at Snowbird, a mother to Kimber, but most of all she became a Christian, saved by the grace of Jesus Christ and knows that all she is and all that she has came from Him. I thank Keri's Snowbird family and friends for all the years of putting up with her, supporting her, and loving her. I pray that God blesses Snowbird's every effort to reach out and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that Snowbird's staff and volunteers keep loving what they have been called to do for Him.

Snowbird Outfitters is an awesome place for the young and the young at heart to go and experience God's love and to lift Him up with praise in song, fellowship, Bible study, awesome teaching. It is a place to totally be free to experience all of God's beauty and nature in a mountain setting. A place to become closer to Christian friends. Life's stressors totally leave you for the time you are there and it is totally a time of renewing of both spirit and mind. Can't wait to go back!!

I went to Snowbird as a 19 yr. old with severe agoraphobia. I hadn't left my house in nearly 10 months! Everytime I tried to go out, I would have crippling panic attacks. My brother and sister were going to Snowbird, and convinced me to come along. I packed my bags and braced for what I was certain would be a miserable, terrifying week.
When I arrived at Snowbird, the staff was so unbelievably understanding and went out of their way to make sure i was comfortable in every activity, every meal, and every group activity. That week changed my life!! I had so much fun and realized that I can do anything if I put my trust in the Lord!!

This is an amazing camp that God has been using in the lives of our students. Many have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and many have been draw to missions because of this camp.

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is a great non-profit organization. This organization offers many outdoor recreation, such as white-water rafting, rappelling, and mountain biking. Having been involved with Snowbird Outfitters, I can say that the functioning of this company is very helpful in providing intense outdoor recreation. This company also functions to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to many teenage boys and girls as its purpose. With many people that are being paid by Snowbird, there is a very low student to staff member ratio.
The staff is amazing!!!! I'm so blessd to have met them! The words of God they preeach is unlike any other!!! May God continue to move through Brody and this entire camp!

AMAZING camp! The main focus is clearly to elevate the Lord and His Word. We have been blessed by SWO for many summers! The recs are great, the food is excellent and the way the staff pours into the campers is incredible. The Staff put themselves aside to do what they can for each student. All around well pleased with SWO and their amazing camp.

My daughter attended your camp with Bethel Baptist Church Youth Group from Sycamore, GA. She could not wait to return the next year. She was so impressed with the workers that she talked about volunteering in the future. She kept in contact with some of the workers by text messages. She knew that they loved God and cared for her by their actions. I truly believe that Snowbird changed her life. I believe that she has a closer walk with God and stronger convictions than she did before her experience at Snowbird. Thank you so much.

We have taken our JH and SH students to camp at SWO for the past three years and it is the highlight for our students all year long. We have people who sign up to go to camp with us, not because they are a part of our church but because we are going back to Snowbird.
Every year the camp far exceeds our expectations for activity, assistance, spiritual depth, and entertainment. We wouldn't go anywhere else. They are like family to us because of how personable the staff is to us as leaders but even more so to our students. We have students who talk all year long about the relationships that they developed with the SWO staff and the lessons they learned during that week of camp.
I could not be more satisfied, impressed, and pleased with what Snowbird does for our ministry as a whole and our students in particular.

Snowbird is a simply amazing place. I have been there multiple times every year for the past five years and it is a wonderful experience every time. I have learned so much about God and his kingdom through snowbird and i cannot explain how helpful it has been. Snowbird is so awesome because everyone there has such a heart for God which brings everyone together. Literally every person who works at snowbird is so nice and easy to talk to. Going to Snowbird is usually the highlight of my summer because it is so much fun with all that they offer and because the experience with God is so real.

Snowbird has changed my life in more ways than one. I learned the long-lasting and positive change you can have on teens through this ministry. The staff is more than sacrificial in the giving of their time, personal money truly their lives to these kids and families. They allowed high risk teens from low income households come to camp for a week and be invested in by adults who spend quality time and will listen to their concerns. When I came up to volunteer for two weeks the staff openly offered for me to stay in their personal homes. This camp is more than a week away from home for these kids, they are able to learn about healthy relationships and how Christ can be the center of your life. You cannot meet any staff member and not know that Christ is the center of all of their lives!

We attended the couple's retreat in November 2010. We weren't sure what to expect, but had a wonderful surprise. Everyone at Snowbird not only loves Jesus, but they truly live for Him. If I didn't have a special needs child, I would sell all that I have and move to Snowbird. They helped remind me how to live for HIm. How to be Jesus' hands and feet. It was a great experience and I am excited to be a youth sponsor this summer with our youth group kids. I can't wait to see how Jesus moves in these kids.
The activities were fun, but the sermons and skits were the best!!!!

Snowbird is the best camp I have attended. Everything from their food to recreation to staff is top notch.

SWO is the most Gospel Centered Camp I have ever been asscociated with. My first time was a "drop in" to decide if this was indeed the camp I was told about. My expectations were not only met, but blown away. I visited during a time of prayer and fasting to discover that the staff were more than willing to show me around.
Each time I have been to SnowBird the staff has been well trained and organized, the food is outstanding, and the recreation was top notch. Above the preaching and teaching of God's word is always outstanding. Snowbird truly has a heart for young people in a world that is set on destroying them.
Snowbird has always striven for excellence, and when improvement has been needed they have sought it out.
Snowbird is dedicated to its mission and is the very best in Christian Camps.
Honestly the ministry at SWO has changed my friend's life. Their commitment to teaching the scripture has reminded her of the power and importance the Word has! In addition, the example of Bibilical community she has experienced there is like no other. I would recommend Snowbird to anyone and everyone as a great place to take one's students for camp as well as a place to work. Also their focus on taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth is impacting! I have loved watching her grow through this ministry!
This ministry tries very hard to keep the ratio of students to staff low. On average they will have one staff member to every four or five students. The goal behind this is to tell the students about Jesus on a personal, relational level.
Review from Guidestar
Loved it! I thought the campus was very nice and had a lot to offer--from adventurous paint ball to simple nature walks. The staff was very friendly and helpful and were great representatives for Christ and what the camp stands for, and overall I thought our experience was a great one.
I rededacated my life to the lord and I made a ton of new friends. I learned how to become more social and trusting others. And how to lead others to Christ and volunteered for misson work
My husband, who was youth pastoring at the time, took our youth to Snowbird for a week-long camp. It was life-changing for the kids that went. They still talk about the impact of Snowbird and how they will never forget it. Snowbird offers a wonderful ministry reaching kids in extraordinary ways. They definitely deserve any help they can receive!
Snowbird has been one of the biggest influences in my life since I first started going as youngster in middle school. I was a camper for seven years all through middle and high school and share some of my fondest memories with this camp. Having four different youth pastors while in youth group was tough to go through but every summer we continued to go to Snowbird. Every year I grew and learned from solid believers in Christ. I remember and think about those men who were my counselors each year and how I desired to be like them someday and be a man that was constantly striving to be in God's will. Now being in college i have become what I have always wanted to be, a counselor at Snowbird. I can honestly say this camp has made me the man I am today.

I am a youth minister and took my group to Snowbird for a Winter Ski Retreat. What I didn't expect was to find a place of complete spiritual refuge. My group had an incredible time. The counselors made the Christian walk come ALIVE for many of my teens!!! We had kids with us from age 7 though college...WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING AGAIN!!!
I have went to Snowbird the last 2 winters with our youth and my daughter has been in the summer. After experience SWO and the preaching of God's word, she had a change in everything. She started listening to Christian music, not wanting to watch certain shows, and wanting to do more for the Church. I thank SWO and all their workers for being willing to spread God's word to the youth of the world and influence them thru their skits and small groups. I would recommend any parent to send their children to SWO for the growth of the Holy spirit and just for them to have self challenges in growth with God! God is working thru SWO and their leaders! Praise the Lord that they are willing to serve!
Our church has been attending Snowbird for years. As an adult leader, I have seen amazing results. It is our teens favorite camp. The counselors are highly trained, they spend valuable time with the teens and get to know them on a one-on-one basis. The recs are unbelievable. The kids love them! The messages brought by Brody and Big Kahuna are indepth and hard hitting. The kids are really drawn in and you can see the difference this makes in their lives. God is present every day at this camp.
The mission trips they host are very inspiring for the kids as well. It is a smaller setting and a great time to bond and grow closer to God.
Snowbird Wilderness outfitters has provided a unique camp experience for my students since 2002. Their commitment to seeing teenagers grow in their faith is unsurpassed by any other summer camp I have ever been a part of. They are also making an impact on the community of Andrews, N.C. They provide local ministry opportunities for the students and also provide a boost in the local economy by the number of people that they bring in over the summer.
This camp is awesome! they have thought me so much from biblical manhood to hard labor. Oh and I cant forget how I learned that I don't need sleep when it comes to the salvation of students. Camp Snowbird does so much for people and thats because the full time employers are solid, growing, desiring, god fearing, loving, biblical men. Without them I would not be the person I am today.
Snowbird Outfitters is a breath of fresh air in a world of often stale and cheesy youth adventure camps. Their originality, quality of programing and truly caring staff sets them apart from others by leaps and bounds. Spend a few days at Snowbird and I guarantee you will be back for more.

This fantastic place served me in ways I never could have expected. I was enriched spiritually to a magnitude far beyond anything I could have achieved on my own. I absolutely loved this place. The environment allowed for plenty of freedom and spiritual growth at the same time I was given the opportunity to help those less fortunate in the community. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a lot of fun learning how to be a better version of themselves.
My experience there was beyond amazing. They have a planned schedule where you can get many different things In,in one day. They teach you so much about God. A camp counselor is always there so you can talk to them. They have great recreational activities there that range in many different types of categories.
I have been to this camp for 3 years straight and can't get enough! Snowbird is an amazing organization that changed my life for the best! and I'm forever greatful for this amazing place!
Snowbird is a place where you will experience something you just cannot recreate. This place has everything you could want in a summer camp - and more. I have been to summer camp for three years, and worked as a volunteer one weekend this year. The entire experience cannot even be defined as "5 stars" because it's way better than that. I wish everyone could have the opportunity to attend!!

I went to SWO with the expectation of a typical teenager going to church camp would. I thought for sure that they would try to shove religion down my throat and try to point out all of my flaws. As soon as I got there, I knew it was not like that. They greeted us with cheers and smiles and high fives and introductions. It was one of the most intense, fun, and life-changing weeks of my life. The counselors did everything they could to relate to us and help us with whatever we needed. They did that and they did more than that. They were there for us when we needed them and they prayed for us and prayed over us. I still personally talk to two of the counselors and I stay in touch with a majority of them. After I left that week, I had learned more about myself than I ever thought I would. It is something that I would recommend to as many people as I possibly could. It is one of those experiences that you will remember for the rest of your life.

I've been to Snowbird twice, and had a blast both times!! Everything about this camp is great, from the utterly Biblical theology to the staff that is willing to do anything for their students! I would recommend this camp to anyone searching for a Bible camp that will challenge their students Biblically, physically, and relationally.
I went on a Snowbird trip over the summer, and I'd have to say it was probably one of the best experiences of my life, but I'll be honest, not because I particularly enjoyed hiking 14 miles, but because of how the experience made me a better person. It was the hardest I had been pushed physically, and I almost gave up. But the people of Snowbird didn't let me give up. They knew I was capable of finishing the hike even though I didnt believe in myself. My relationship with God was tested and strengthened the most during that week, and I am so happy I was lucky enough to go through the pain and success that I did.
I absolutely love this camp! I've gone for two consecutive summers now and am looking forward to another two plus going on a Spring Break Mission Trip this year! I've seen so many lives changed each year including my own! I highly recommend this camp to all my classmates. Snowbird hosts mission camps each year. I went to one this summer. We helped a family in need by painting their house. They were so thankful! Just another example of how great Snowbird is!
SnowBird is a very special place for me. I sent my children there for a couple years with our church. It became such an amazing place of growth for both of them. My daughter became so touched by God's power through the Staff and the Pastor there that she too spent a few years as a Staff person. She grew in Christ. She was taught that soaking up God's word was important for daily living. She learned the values of serving others. She made the decision to go to NGU after being influenced by one of the counselors there at SnowBird. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Youth Ministries. She also met her husband there. They were both on Staff. They both still love sharing God with young people. They love to go out to SnowBird as leaders and as part of the SnowBird family. I am very grateful that this camp is original and God led. I love the Drama night there and the preaching. My son who is a Minister and now studying for his Masters in Divinity said "Brody Holloway has a special gift" and he does. This camp reaches young people where they are. SnowBird does not care if you are on the fringe sort of speak. They love you and accept you as God does. Young people are taught God's word is the ultimate tool for living and as the only truth they can always count on. My children are closer to God and take young people out there in groups led by their churches to see changes in our future generation. Snowbird challenges youth to have no fear and to grow. The river rafting is something some kids would never get the opportuniy to do who do not live in this area. SnowBird is safe and fun! My children and their spouses all have stronger faith and reach out to lead young people and I thank SnowBird for being there in the beginning to plant those seeds.
This ministry has supported me, encouraged me, and challenged me to grow spiritually. The camps and retreats are fun and filled with activity as well as in-depth teaching from the Bible.

I have had the pleasure of attending camp at Snowbird for 2 summers with several hundred high school students. What an incredible experience! Our students learn so much about outreach, values and the gospel. Looking forward to our trip this year!
This camp is the most amazing camp in the world. When you get there you know it will be different. Once you go there your life is changed forever. When you get there you can feel God's presence. The music is amazing but more importantly the message is awesome. When I went there I was at a time in my life where I wasn't sure what would happen. My brother was always in trouble and I wasn't sure what would happen to him. But after this camp I knew that God has a plan for everyone and everything.

I have been to snowbird 4 times. Many of you have heard stories of all the fun activities that we do while at snowbird, however today I want to share with you a different side of snowbird and what it means to me. Snowbird offers students a chance to relax and have fun, while being exposed to the love of Jesus Christ. We have breakfast, worship service, lunch, rec time and then we have share groups with our grade level. In share groups we talk about what we learned in service. The staff at snowbird is really awesome; they spend the whole week hanging out with us and we have a blast. They really care about the students that visit and stay in touch with them. Snowbird encourages everyone to continue to be fired up about Christ even after we get back home. Seeing all of the Snowbird staff living their lives for Christ made me want to live the same way. I have enjoyed all the experiences Snowbird has given me. I want to spend a summer working at snowbird.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is a great organization/ministry. I worked with Snowbird for 2 years. Within this time I experienced 2 summers, which is their busiest time with the camps. I was very involved in the missions program that they have. Their missions program not only gives teenagers a chance to serve others by providing them manual labor and materials to improve their homes/property that would be difficult for them to acquire on their own but it also provides improvement in the community in which Snowbird is located. The community is a very poor, rural community with many needy families. Snowbird's presence in the community provides the community with great resources and assistance. The summers that I worked there we were able to rebuild a porch for a woman in her late 90's, work on single Native American's single wide trailer, provide some locals with landscaping improvement, work on another local youth outreach building, work with local youth to provide them with experiences not usually offered to them, and many other service projects. The missions program is just one little part of a bigger ministry that this organization has. The many youth that they serve from all over America and the many lives that are changed is a huge part of this organization.

I have had the privilege and joy of attending summer camp with the senior high youth from our church for the past 4 summers. And I look forward to our spring break mission trip there this April and summer camp again in June.
From the moment we drive on the campus of Snowbird, we are greeted by excited, loving and welcoming counselors. Not only do they provide fun activities for the youth but also meaningful messages and worship. I have seen the lives of many youth completely changed during their week at camp.
The counselors go out of their way to make the youth feel comfortable and they go above and beyond to build close relationships with them. I tell every parent who asks me that it is the best money they will ever spend on their child.
In over 10 years of volunteering with my local church High School Ministry, I have participated on Spring Break mission trips and Summer camps at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters. For many young men and women who have long graduated and moved on into the world fulfilling their calling by God, Snowbird Wildderness Outfitters is that experience in their life where God became real to them and everything changed. I whole heartily endorse SWO and have eagerly awaited the day when my own children would come of age to experience Snowbird.
last year some amazing stuff happen. A girl was struggling and then snowbird helped change that. Well when this happened it changed me to, it opened my eyes and showed me all things are impossible without God. I have been baptised since August of 2006. I never understood what God can do until I came to SWO. The camp is amazing and the workers will help you with all you need. One of the girls I became really close to and she helped me work through what I needed help with. My two sisters were there and the night that this girl came back with God it was amazing. It changed everyone in camp! I plain on going to SWO the rest of my highschool years and be a chaperon till I can't anymore! This camp is amazing and it changes lives. It did mine!
I attended SWO one week each summer from the age of 12 to the age of 17, when I decided to serve on servant staff. At the age of 16, I participated in OLD school at SWO, which one of the most challenging things I have ever done in my life. However, it was also one of the most amazing things too. In those few days I learned an extensive amount about how to survive in the wilderness, as well as, how to follow God's will for my life. SWO drastically impacted my life as a teenager and allowed me to grow and learn so much in my faith. It is an awesome community of believers and a great outreach. Serving on servant staff I got to witness and take part in the "behind the scenes" actions of SWO. This was an awesome opporunity! God is work is so real and alive at SWO. I have a younger sister who is a teenager now and I am so thankful that she has the opportunity to experience SWO. It is a camp unlike any other camp. It teaches students about God's grace, mercy and love through fun and exciting activites, as well as, through skits, breakout sessions, and preaching. Snowbird is all around awesome!

I spent the weekend at SWO for my Senior Class trip and it was amazing. I have never seen so many people on fire for Christ, and that want to help me be that way too. I think they need this money so that they can fix up the bathrooms and also for the many things that they do to help others.

As a teenager I came to Snowbird during a week of summer camp not knowing what to expect. I was also very quiet and shy, but from the first moment we arrived, when they jumped on our buses, talking to us and wanting to know us, I immediately felt loved.
One could not even accurately assess the vast number of lives that Snowbird has changed. Money given to this organization will undoubtedly result in many more who will be eternally thankful for what this camp does.
I have been going to this place for two years now with my high school youth group. We go every summer for a week and it is a great week for all. This place is one place that has brought me so much joy. All of the counselors at this place strive to show student a great week but above all else show the student who Jesus Christ is and what in the world he did for us that we CANNOT live without. Through this organization I came to know my savior Jesus Christ and my life has just never been the same. Anyone, I dont care who it is (a believer or nonbeliever) could set foot on the SWO campus and see real love...a love would do anything for each other and above all else Jesus Christ. Without these people I know I would not be where I am today. Jesus is using them big time everyday!
We had such a wonderful time at SWO. We took a group of high school students for two days. The staff was so exciting to be around. They were incredibly encouraging. I had no doubt that I could accomplish the challenges that were put in front of me. As a 41 year old woman, I never would believe that I could work up the courage to ride a 3Man Swing. These men and women made me feel lide I could do it without a doubt. I'd go back in a heart beat. It was a fantastic and memorable trip.

swo, all i gotta to say is that we used to go to super wow all time then we heard of swo and my first time it was amazing a lot of memories were held there with some of my best friends and actually one of them has passed away about 3 years ago. Anne Tully was our counselor she has given me great advice a lot things. worship was always great no matter and activity were amazng too:)
Without Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters, my life would be drastically different. I live in a world today where the Christian church has fallen on hard times. While all kinds of franchises and institutions do so well in achieving their goals, I find it sad often that the American church cannot reach their goals as easily as say, a company like Chipolte or one of those new yougart shops. I would say that Chipolte and any yougart shop like Red Mango are booming stores in America today. These are great resturants, that may only be hot for a number of years, but they are reaching their goals as competitive, businesses that fill a need in the public eye. It's often sad that the church can't provide such clear cut needs and wants from the public.
While the church is not a franchise or a brand or a business, I do think that the church has clear goals that people want to be see accomplished. And in my experience, Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters has accomplished those goals in a way that outdoes any other church or organization that I know of.
I worked on staff for Snowbird for four summers, and brought a group of students there for another summer, and have consistently been amazed at how this place has given me so much encouragement and direction in life. As a staff member, every summer I met people who were devoted to living out the basic ideas of Christianity and teaching them to students. Between the summers, those people who I worked with became some of my best friends in the off-season, and have developed as ministry partners in American and overseas.
For some reason, perhaps unexplainable, a great number of my close friendships with people in this world have developed at this camp. Much of it is because Snowbird stresses so much the importance of community in the Christian life, and the importance of living out the basics of the faith. I cannot explain why I have deeper relationships with the people I have met at this camp, than perhaps say people I meet at the local church or at college, but I do know that there is something real about this place that is different than any place I have every been to in my life.
To close, ideally I would like to make this place a franchise and try to replicate what goes on at this place all around the country. However, such a thing cannot happen because there is only one snowbird and part of what makes it special is that I have great relationships with the leadership and staff. It is unique, but whatever I can do to help further it's goals, I am a part of that. Thank you SWO and may you continue to achieve so many goals of Christianity community and truth that you set yourself after.
Every year for the past seven, as an Adult Youth Leader with my church I have accompanied 125-175 high schoolers to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters in Andrews, NC. Additionally, my daughter has served on their summer staff for four years. The genuine effort that the staff and owners of this camp pour into the lives of the young people (and adults) that visit/participate in camp is like none I have ever seen. They create an atmosphere of belonging for the most disenfranchised person as well as those who are natural leaders...and it is in that sense of belonging that each individual is able to grow spiritually, emotionally and even physically given all the great recreational activities. SWO is THE place!
Snowbird is an absolute fantastic camp that occurs every year. For me, personally, I get excited every time my youth group even mentions the camp. I have attended now for 5 years, clearly showing my love for the atmosphere, and the constant desire to go back. Snowbird is the place where I plan to invite my friends that don't know the Lord, because if anywhere, they will definitely encounter Him here. The counselor camper ratio is phenomenal giving the students an opportunity to sit with someone at any time. Also, the activities they have planned are wild enough to keep students entertained, but also keep them safe as well. The skits performed and the messages taught involve the students and challenge them to think, and make them laugh. Who doesn't need a good laugh?!
It may sound like i'm not being candid about this, but I honestly don't have a single negative comment about Snowbird. I feel like this camp and organization has bloomed so much over the years and deserves any special treatment it can receive.
I attended Snowbird Outfitters summer camps from the time I was in 7th grade (1999) intil I graduated high school in 2004. SWO's influence in my life was not limited simply to one week of camp each year. The staff of SWO showed me unlimited support throughout my adolescence, even after I had graduated high school.
During college, I suffered through drug addiction and when I hit rock bottom, the staff of SWO came to my rescue. I would not be here today if it were not for the care and support of the SWO staff.
Additionally, SWO introduced me to a love for the outdoors. After spending summers at SWO in the NC mountains doing all kinds of outdoor activities and learning outdoor skills; I now have a love for the outdoors and an understanding of stewardship of our beautiful Earth.
This organization goes above and beyond the call of duty to reach out to teens and help them in their formative years. Through their programs, great leaders and citizens are created. I am glad I have been able to be a part of the SWO family and grateful for the influence they have had in my life.
my twin sister worked at SWO last summer and both of my sisters are working there this summer. I able to visit SWO a couple times and every time I was there I was so impressed by the caliber of the staff at they camp. They are some of the godliest people I know and are always looking for opportunities to help both the other staff and the students that are attending grow in maturity.
I have had great experiences at Snowbird the past two summers. The counselors have helped me a lot in progressing in my faith walk. Brody and the Kahuna have also taught me many things about my faith through their amazing messages. The entire staff is committed to helping everyone in their faith any way they can. This summer i am going up to snowbird once again to help with their missions program, which i have heard many great things about.
All 3 of my kids have gone to snowbird as summer campers. 2 of them have attended the wilderness semester as college students and one of them has been a summer counselor. I have been at snowbird as a youth advisor with my church. I don't even know where to begin expressing my love and gratitude and friendship and support of the camp.
I have seen all 3 of my kids grow spiritually as a direct result of the ministry at Snowbird. I have seen them grow in their desire to pursue Christ and to be pursued by Him. Each of them have been in long term disciple/mentor/friend relationships with Snowbird staff that continue to have a positive effect on them.
The wilderness semester and training they received was not only incredibly fun and "once in a lifetime" it was also extremely beneficial. They were trained & certified in several different types of rescue/first aid. they also received training in white water river guiding, bouldering, multi-pitch climbing, caving and ocean kayaking. They were also given sound biblical life skills that help them in their daily lives as they live and work in the world. They lived in a biblical community and were mentored by extremely wise and Godly people. They formed extremely close relationships with others participating in their semester as well as with the leadership. Many of those relationships are still a positive influence in their lives.
Being a summer counselor has helped my daughter learn what it is to work extremely hard. She has also been learned to give herself up for the sake of others. She has learned to work as a team and function in a community. She was mentored by many Godly influences and formed close relationships.
If i had to sum up the snowbird experience in one word it would be "relationships". The full-time staff model healthy relationships with the Lord, one another and their community to the summer staff who in turn model that for the campers they have year round. Snowbird offers incredibly fun & edgy activities such as river rafting, mountain biking, caving, repelling, paint ball, ropes courses etc. that draw people out of their comfort zone. They also engage their campers with thought provoking speaking, teaching sessions and skits. Counselors also make themselves constantly available mentally and emotionally to talk with the campers about "stuff" that they are dealing with. The combination of relationships, edgy activities and engaging learning environments and personal contact all blend to form an incredibly life changing experience.
That's why people, (myself included) keep coming back year after year. My kids, my youth group, and i can't get enough of Snowbird.

I attended Snowbird every summer when I attended high school. It was always something to look forward to. One week out of every year I could count on being surrounded by friends, and sometimes family, and also by loving counselors who were there to encourage each and every one of us in love and kindness. We had options every day for extra activities including tubing, horseback riding, and repelling. Also, each large group had a scheduled day and time to go white water rafting. It was always a feeling of community, safety, and above all, fellowship. Each day we would attend worship services and small groups for discussion and exploration of our faith and our relationship with Jesus Christ. I can honestly say that Snowbird helped me to grow as a Christian woman and has changed my life in amazing ways. I still hold on to the friendships I made there as well as the things I learned about myself and my walk with Christ. I also learned many ways to share the love I have experienced with others. One year I also took the opportunity to serve on a mission trip with a few of the counselors from this camp, which was such an enlightening and uplifting experience.
sweat and blood literally covers the ground where these saints have toiled to impact the lives of young people with the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ my Lord. Ive gone there, Ive lived there, and I can account that these would only be interested in your money if it was for the lifting up of the Lord on high, the reaching out of the gospel to young people, and promoting spiritual growth amongst the brethren. They were the chosen vessel of truth to flip my life upside down for true righteousness.
I was very blessed when I attended Snowbird in December of 2010. The people that worked there were very helpful and showed a real interest in the individual lives of every person in my youth group. I know Anne Tully, one of the group leaders, showed a real interest in my life and I still communicate with her through email. This organization helps lots of students with their walk with Christ and I think that it is wonderful.
Snowbird is an AMAZING place!!!!! It is beyond what words can describe!!! You get so much closer to your youth group and build a much closer relationship to your friends. Most importantly, you get so much closer to God. The Bible lessons are great and encouraging!! They really encourage you to have a relationship with God. The worship services are WONDERFUL. They have powerful skits. One of them is outdoors showing the Revelation Skit. It is awsome and very realistic. Also they have recreational activities. White water rafting is an experience that I never imagined being able to do.
It was a WONDERFUL week and I CANNOT wait to return!!!!

Snowbird is awesome!!!!!!! It changed my life. And my friends spiritual lives. They definitely deserve to win. Its the best camp I've ever been to!!!
Snowbird is amazing. I went to camp every summer for 3 years in high school. The staff and overall environment there are incredible. They aren't there to do anything but serve. Snowbird is the best organization I have ever been around.
snowbird is the most amazing camp i have ever gone to!!!! i was so excited to go to have fun and to learn about God. when i was there i became closer to all the girls in my youth grouop and my youth leader. Also they have the most amazing staff. They are there when you need them whether it is during breakfast lunch dinner or chapel or during activities or even in the middle of the night. They are always there. AT snowbird i did many things i thought i could not do. I went on a zip line and iam terrified of heights. me and my friend katherine were terrified she was so scared she cried but she wanted to do it. There was no way of getting off the stand except to jump...well in her case the guy told her that he needed to get around her to get something, and "accidently" bumped her offf....that was soooo funny and she went down screaming "y did you do that" all in all she loved it though...later during the week she went off 5 more times..literally which is a lot when their is other events and rides to do.probably my favorite thing to do was the white water rafting that is the most amazing experience i hav ever had it is expecially cold water ..our youth group does a thing where if you say cold freezing or anything along that line then you are thrown into the water..and my youth pastor even gets the snowbird staff to go along with it. I personally hav never been to the pray chapel but i am deffinately going this year everyone that i hav talkedc to that has gone has loved it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SNOWBIRD!!! i am in 8th grade and onlly our jv youth group goes to camp so this coming year will be my last year going and i am devistated. i really wish that i could go every year for the rest of my life lolololol . (that means laugh out loud) That is not even a tenth of the fun stuff snowbird has for you . if i had the rest of my life to write about snowbird i COULD do it. but i also LOVE the worship time you would never imagin such a great time in your life...everyones hands are in the air people are jumping people are on their knees .. It is sooooooo cooool=) there are 2 main speakers, broady and big kahoona. i really enjoy big kahoona he is always making you laugh and smile " girls do yall want a girly man or a manly man" ofcourse all the guys and girls are the same room so all the girls blushed and said a manly man.. but other than broady and big kahoona, broadys wife talked she is amazing i am telling you if you ever need to talk to someone little is the one to talk to she gave me her emaill and she helped me go through tough trials at my school.i have much more to say about snowbird but i ahve to go to churhc so yep i absolutely love snowbird and hope they win..but if i were the judge they would win in a heartbeat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snowbird is as the kids say, so awesome. My kids have been going there for over five years. I was a chaprone one year. I honestly can't put into words how they have truely impacted our family. It is a beautiful camp in the mountains and the kids love the true spirit of worship they experience there. My son was on their servant team last year and he came home a new person for the Lord. This year he is going to be there as a counselor. All I can say is awesome.
Snowbird is the most incredible camp I've ever been to or just been a part of in general. This camp is the real deal. The staff are very loving, serving, encouraging and knowledgeable. This camp has changed my life over and over again. I do not know a person with a negative experience with Snowbird. They are the best in the business.
I spend one week each summer for every summer of my high school years. i learned so much through the messages and small group times and i was even given a chance to go out and serve people in that area of NC for two of the years. Snowbird has a staff that is passionate about working with middle school and high school students and invests so much time into making their camp experience incredible. everyone on staff is willing to put the campers in front of themselves and do everything they can to serve them.
From the first summer I stepped foot on the Snowbird campus I was immediately captivated by the heart of the organization. The people and the purpose of this organization has changed thousands of lives and I am a testimony to that.
It is impossible to overestimate the blessing and encouragement that this camp has been to me personally as well as to everyone else who attends.
It teaches solid biblical principles, allows people to enjoy the outdoors, and encourages students and leaders alike to live a life of service to everyone around them. Through the summer camp program, the SWO staff help change the lives of many teenagers. They also serve people in their local community through making home improvements to houses owned by people in need. Finally, they are involved in sending people to other countries for ministry and outreach work. This camp takes very seriously the mission of "serving others as they would serve the Lord", and as a result I believe God blesses all of the ministries in which they are involved .
Snowbird has done so much for me the past two years. I have gone to their summer camp twice and have been poured into spiritually by their amazing staff and speakers. I have been able to take what they've taught me about the bible and use it when I have to go back to the "real world". Snowbird is a place of its own and that is why I am returning again to do missions over the summer and am so excited about what God has intended for me there because it is so evident in everyone there that they are listening to their Father and recieve guidance from Him everyday.
I first visited Snowbird when during my junior year of college. During that visit I heard the Word of God preached faithfully and boldly. Listening to the someone preach systematically through a passage of scripture unlocked for me how to study the Bible personally which in turn profoundly affected my relationship with the Lord and the course of my life.
The next time I returned to Snowbird was to serve for the summer as a camp counselor for middle and high school students. This early mornings and late nights- guiding white water trips and belaying for a climbing tower. It involved worship services and share groups, but most of all it involved building relationships. I learned about relational ministry. Not just by giving but by receiving. This ministry is structured like a waterfall, with discipleship happening from the top down. Everyone is being invested in and everyone is investing in someone else...and all of the investing was built upon the foundation of the gospel.
I am now a stay at home mom. But living here in Andrews, I continue to watch this ministry change lives....both students coming in and staff members as well. With so many students and staff pouring in from all over the country, it would be easy for Snowbird to be consumed with serving and ministering to these individuals and neglect its hometown community. This is not the case. Many many Snowbird employees over the year have served in the school system as subs and coaches. Local events are hosted, such as an annual wild game supper. Partial and full income-based scholarships are available for local students to attend a week of summer camp. Also the Snowbird Missions and Outreach takes students each week of the summer to assist families in need with home maintenance- fixing a roof, re-painting an exterior, etc....
Snowbird is Christ-centered, built on the foundation of the word of God, it is a ministry of integrity and it is changing people's lives.

Snowbird has played an incredible role in my walk with the Lord. The staff and counselors encouraged me to live out my faith boldly. Not only is the week full of fun and craziness, it is filled with power and conviction. I have never experienced anything like it!
My experiences with Snowbird have had a tremendous impact on my life. As a summer staff member, I experienced a great amount of personal growth spiritually and relationally through the educational teachings and the activities at Snowbird. It is staffed by mature, well-trained, and very personable, relatable staff members who genuinely care about the students, leaders, and volunteers that come to camp through out the year. Snowbird spends a significant amount of time and resources training staff in interpersonal relationships as well as recreational safety and efficacy, realizing that those aspects strongly influence the quality of participants' experience of camp. One of Snowbird's strongest elements is the very low staff to student ratio. Staff members intentionally build relationships with students, giving them the opportunity to share and process things that they are learning at camp, as well as other aspects of their lives that they would like to. Time for relationship building is intentionally integrated into the schedule of each retreat. In addition, the activities and recreation at Snowbird are cutting edge, providing exciting and rewarding experiences for campers in safe, controlled environments. For examples, students choose recreational activities such as white water rafting, mountain biking, caving, high ropes adventures, river tubing, and wake boarding. Students are given the opportunity to try new things and discover their ability to do things they have never tried before. My personal experience has been that students have a difficult time remaining indifferent and bored at Snowbird. It is truly an exceptional organization, set in a gloriously beautiful location. Not only do I try to go to Snowbird as often as possible and encourage anyone that I know to go as well, I also hope to one day send my own kids to camp there.

I went to camp this winter. I absolutely love how all of the staff members were so in depth with their relationship with Christ, and also how they made me feel like I was right at home.
Snowbird changed my life. That might seem cliche to say, but it is the truth. I went to Snowbird for the first time my freshman summer. I had just been saved that February, and Snowbird really helped me get started in my faith. The talks, prayer chapel, and fellowship were all really big factors in the growth of my faith there. I love Snowbird so much, and anyone who gets to experience the atmosphere there is truly blessed.
Review from Guidestar
I've been to Snowbird three times so far and am planning on going back for my third time this summer. My exprience with Snowbird was physically and spiritually intense. All the leaders were spiritually strong and I felt surrounded by my faith constantly. Even the food was great. I was especially impressed by how into scripture the leaders were. It really impacted me to get further into the Word myself. The only downside would be that my time there was so short.
My earliest memories of Snowbird were the incredible stories I heard from friends at my college who had worked a summer or two there. I had never heard of the camp before, and I must admit that the intensity they described in their experiences intimidated me. I ended up being recruited by a local camp know for it's tradition and connections to the wealthy in my hometown. I served at that camp for two summers with it's fancy buildings donated by rich, former campers and the attitudes of campers and staff who felt entitled and elite. Though I loved working with the kids and even running the traditional activities, I hated the destructive double-life of the summer staff and the effect it had on the kids as well as the confining feeling I had with little time off and even less bonding time with my campers.
To recover from my two summers at this camp I took a summer off before I allowed my friends to talk me into applying at Snowbird. I attended a friend's wedding there (she and her husband met at Snowbird), immensely enjoying they fellowship I was welcomed into, and then volunteered for a bicycle race fundraiser which remains one of my favorite Snowbird events even though it has been retired. I was intrigued by how different Snowbird was from my old camp. It wasn't polished around the edges but there was an honesty and integrity of the staff that was foreign and enticing to me. I filled out the lengthy application. It took me a week, and I still count it as one of the most educational experiences of my college career.
I then proceeded to spend the next four months fretting over being hardcore enough to work at a place so intense. I was told stories of how badly some people wanted to leave at first, and I was still wary from my last camp. I found the stories were true when I arrived. I wanted to leave. Training was intense and taxing. The staff was so committed and sacrifical in the way they approached the campers and their responsibilites. I was sure I couldn't make it, but I was told to stay because no one ever regretted staying. Brody said that over and over. He was right. At my old camp, I cried and counted the days until summer was over. At Snowbird, I was focused on my campers, on my next task, on the amazing way God was using a girl so incapable.
I have had the privilege of seeing the effect Snowbird has on it's campers. At my old camp, most of the campers get heavily involved in drugs and have issues with their attitude about school and life responsibilites. I have watched my Snowbird campers develop a maturity and confidence considered rare in America's youth. I know of two or three who are pursuing summer missions, and many who are flourishing in college. They heard was being teached at Snowbird and are benefiting from it and seeking to change the world. That's a cycle I am proud to be a part of.
Brody also brings the Snowbird staff into this cycle. We were expected to work hard and happily, to take responsibility and serve others. I attribute much of my success in my current employment to the attitude he taught us to have at camp. I work hard because it is the best thing and Snowbird taught me that. Brody tells us to finish well everything we start, to honor our parents while finding our own independence and purpose. He reminds us that as young adults we have to approach life with integrity and accountability. Even now when I make decisions, I want to be unafraid to share them with my campers and the Snowbird staff, the measure of which I was always reminded comes from God and not just the opinions of my peers. That's what I love about Brody. He never tells us what to do but how to go about the things we do.
I think the biggest thing that speaks about Snowbird is the loyalty of those who attend, work, and support the camp. Snowbird doesn't rely on a secret society kind of tradition to attract campers and garner donations. Many of Snowbird's supporters have not directly attended the camp but were moved by the reputation of the camp to be involved. Campers come back because they like who Snowbird helps them become, because they are intrigued by the passion of the counselors, because they find a home there. They are not intiated to club or given status for attending every year; they are simply welcomed as old friends and appreciated as unique individuals. And the staff come back over and over and over because they found a part of themselves at Snowbird and who they have become was a product of that discovery. They also return for the uncanny fellowship, the strange and clever shared humor, and the guidance that is offered by the rest of the Snowbird family.
You know, it seems strange to write about Snowbird. It's hard to explain. I wish you could visit. Then you'd you know.
Review from Guidestar
Snowbird is an amazing camp. I started going there for the first time my Junior Summer in high school and had an extraordinary experience. The love and compassion they show everyone is humbling. Brody, one of the founders, gives the afternoon sessions and he does an incredible job on sharing the word of God. Him and Big Kahuna put it in terms everyone can understand or relate to and challenge everyone in the same way. There outdoor recs provide some entertainment that I will never forget. Going down the Nantahala in the freezing cold water and pirating other rafts was one of the most enjoyable recs they offered! It sad to think I will never be able to go there again as a camper, but maybe one day I will return as a camp counselor. The workers at SWO do a great job at making everyone feel welcomed. I went back packing last summer with them and the experience really challenged me and helped me grow in my walk. I had great fellowship on that trip and formed some bonds with great friends. I would recommend this camp to anyone, and I even tell everyone I meet today about SWO.
The most important aspect of this organization is the staff. The people who work there are committed, intentional, and devoted to making a positive impact in the lives of the kids they work with. If SWO ever stopped putting as much effort into their staff as they invest now, the camp would be just another place to play around at in the summer. Instead, the training and prayer devoted to each staff member and expected of them makes each person a tool of God and a strong means of giving campers a holistically enriching experience in the short time they stay at camp. The games and the skits and the songs are not soon forgotten, but it is truly the speakers, the camp leadership, and the friendly and uplifting staff that make attending SWO the best way a young person could spend a week of summer in a life pursuing God.
Review from Guidestar
Snowbird is one of the first places that I experienced solid teaching and biblical discipleship. The staff has always shown an intense interest in the well-being of its fellow staff members and campers. There is a full-scale commitment to the students served. The staff members get up early, stay with the campers throughout the day, and often stay up late into the night just hanging out. The recreation activities are always action-packed, and the staff are well trained to deal with any situation. Snowbird has been instrumental in my development as a person. It's more than the organization; it's the people who make it happen.
Snowbird changed my life for the better. I'd like to think that I was a "good" person before my experience there on staff, but my world was rocked. I was there to mentor and challenge young people in their faith. While I did that, the opportunities provided by the camp allowed me to be challenged - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually - on a daily basis and I grew as a person. While the whole point of the camp is for young people to discover or enhance a relationship with Christ, Snowbird afforded me the opportunity to become the person, leader, teacher, coach, etc. I am today.
This is an awesome Bible-centered youth ministry! I have been in ministry with youth, both college and high school, for 23 years and this is the best ministry I have been involved with regarding youth. They have so much fun with their outdoor extreme recreation activities and their dramas are incredibly powerful and full of impact and then others are absolutely hilarious and "extreme"- exactly what youth love and adults laugh hard too. Snowbird is not only bringing youth to salvation in Christ but they are helping turn around a whole generation of directionless young people and the results are astounding. Youth coming back from this camp are changed and they are now engaged in community outreach to the poor, going on mission trips, being excellent students and employees and are just plain lights in this ever increasingly dark world. They combine fun, wild, crazy activities during the day with powerful, moving and challenging messages in the morning s and at night. They are thorough and sound in their teaching and are exceptionally prepared in all their break-out sessions where they teach relevantly on different issues concerning the faith. This is one of those organizations/youth outreaches that we could use more of in our country. Out of five stars, I would give them ten!!!
Came here with lots of problems n very bad persi. Afterleabing this camp I was clean.and a new person n still that wau
Snowbird is a place that truly allowed me to experience God through the lives of my brothers and sisters in Christ. Awesome staff, awesome experience. I wouldn't trade my four summers there for anything.
I went to Snowbird as a camper in the summer of 2009, and through all the teachings and discipleship I received there, God showed me what it meant to truly follow Him. It was at Snowbird that God showed me how important the personal study of His Word is, and how important constant prayer with Him is. I loved camp so much that first week that I came back and did it two more times that summer, and a winter retreat the following winter! I worked at SWO all summer this past summer on Servant Team, where I volunteered by helping do maintenance work around camp. It was such an amazing experience. The Snowbird Staff teaches straight out of the Word of God, and everything at Snowbird points to the Father. It is my favorite place to be, because the Holy Spirit is so present constantly!
Review from Guidestar
This is by far the best camp I have ever taken students to. The staff goes above and beyond to build relationships with the students. They accomplish this through every aspect of the camp. Whether it be the recreation or eating a meal with the student they are experiencing life together. This helps to build the bridge between counselor and student. But it does not end there they continue to stay connected via their web page and the social networks. Not to mention their annual Snowbird World Tour where they travel to many of the groups home churches to better deepen this relationship.
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is the best camp that I have ever been to. I have been to 4 different camps and SWO still blows all the other camps out of the water. I was a camper there when I was a junior and senior in high school and I have never grown so much in my entire walk with Christ than in those two years. The staff is definitely solid and poured into my life and definitely made such an influence that they made a difference and a very strong impact on my life. God is doing some amazing work there because of how devoted they are in glorifying God, in obedience to God, and how devoted they are to build relationships with campers and discipling them. I worked at another camp this past summer and it was nowhere near how awesome SWO is. God willing, I hope to be serving there this upcoming summer. There are so many great things about SWO but one thing that stands out to me is the community there. There is no other community like it. The relationships between the staff there is just beautiful. I encourage all student pastors to take their students there. This is definitely a different type of camp. It is so much fun but they definitely have a strong focus on ministering to the youth. This is a legit camp, STRAIGHT UP.
I worked at this camp last summer and will again this coming summer. It is dedicated to preaching the gospel. Each staff member is there to waste themselves for what God has called them to in ministry with the students. Working sometimes 20 hour days, exhausting themselves for what we know to be truth and discipling students, teaching them what it means to live for Christ and because of Christ. There is also extremely fun recreation which is very enjoyable for the students and provides a relaxed a casual way for staff to be able to hang out and get to know campers better.
My daughter has come back every more on fire for the Lord. She has a wonderful time and uses her snowbird experience as a discussion point for new believers. What a great team and an amazing ministry.
I am a parent of a 17 year-old youth member at Hillside UMC. My son participated in a work mission trip to Snowbird last year. The counselors at Snowbird teach our youth a solid foundation in Jesus Christ and teach them the privilege it is to be a Christian. My son has recieved great guidance from the counselors at Snowbird. They teach amd impact today's youth the importance of the Christian witness, and more importantly the reason's that they should "walk the walk, instead of talking the talk" - As a parent I would recommend Snowbird to all parents who want to lead their child to be an impact for Jesus.
Snowbird, Snowbird, Snowbird! where to begin?? i remember having a friend tell me all about this camp she worked at called snowbird wilderness outfitters, and i couldn't get enough of her outdoor adventure stories, and memories. i wanted to work there SO badly after hearing her speak so highly of it. So... i applied. I waited. and i was hired!! The summer began with me being a small town girl who only saw crazy white water rafting, and zip lining on tv... about two weeks in, i had done it all! wow i am so blessed with the adventures God has presented to me, and about 80% of them are from his hand at work through Snowbird. The camp is wonderful, but there would be no camp if there was no obedience in the worker's hearts. Best place i've ever spent my summer.

I was a camper at Snowbird for four years and then participated in serving in ministry there for two summers. There is really no way to describe in words the way that Snowbird has impacted my life. As a high school student, the staff at Snowbird showed such compassion and love toward me in the way that they pointed me toward Christ. As a college student, I got the opportunity to serve alongside many of the same people who impacted my life in high school. The community and discipleship that I have experienced, and continue to experience, through God's work at Snowbird is simply amazing and has been a major part of the transforming work that the Lord has done in my life.

I experienced Snowbird over the summer of 2010 and a ski retreat in the winter. Snowbird is utterly devoted to serving God. This goes into everything they do from picking their summer staff to how they set up the camp day. Every minute of the day is used to do something all with the intention of being able to grow relations between the campers and Christ. The staff is devoted to challenging and growing everyone, including themselves, with the Gospel. The staff is a great example of a biblical community were they support each other and by loving the Lord they can truly love others. They desire to build relational ministry between the staff and campers. The difference is palpable at the end of the week in so many of the kids and adults that came to the camp.

I went to Snowbird as a camper when I was a junior and senior in high school. I loved it! Not only was it fun, but it was also an eye-opener. Snowbird helped me to get my life going in the right direction and to lean on God for everything. I also worked as a counselor last Summer and hope to work again this summer. I love the environment and the message and truth behind the camp.

My youth group went to Snowbird for the first time when i was a sophomore in high school. It was the most unique summer camp experience of my life. You could not question the staff's devotion to the students and their desire to spend time building relationships and partnering with them to help them walk with Christ. My youth minister felt the same way, and we went there every year following that trip. I eventually worked as a summer staff member for 4 summer throughout college and I still believe that you would be hard pressed to find a better place to take students for a week of camp. I still recommend it to my friends who are youth pastors today (11 years later) because of the impact it personally had on my life and my spiritual growth.

I have been a part of Snowbird Outfitters for 6 years and am continually blown away each year as I return at the way this organization and body of believers literally reaches thousands of teenagers and adults as they pass through a week of camp. This ministry cares about people...about who they are, how they are struggling, and mainly about the most important relationship in life that they could ever have-Jesus Christ. The staff and leaders of Snowbird are interested in building meaninful relationships and investing their time and resources into teenagers during a time when most teens do not have any solid or positive mentor or roll model in their lives. I will continue to be a part of Snowbird because I fully believe in what they do and represent and how I am always seeing the fruit and harvest to their labor.

I went to Snowbird as a camper for 4 years with my youth group and then ended up working there as summer staff for 4 years. Other than the working of the Holy Spirit, nothing or no one has had more of an impact on my life or my spiritual growth. Being a part of Snowbird has changed my life forever, and is an experience I will never forget. I have learned so much from this organization and I am everyday grateful for such a place and the opportunity I had to serve with such a place.
Review from Guidestar
Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is the best Christian Outdoors camp I know of. As a staff member in 2007, I can honestly say that my experience at Snowbird was pivotal in my walk with the Lord. The Christian community I experienced there was unlike any other I have ever known.
I speak so highly of the community because it provided me with such a safe place to grow and be the person the Lord created me to be. I think this atmosphere within the staff is contagious to those who come to the camp and see what Christian community can potentially be.
One element to promote this community is staff small groups. Each staff member is a part of a small group and has daily morning meetings before breakfast. My group grew closer daily as we prayed for each other and shared what we were learning and struggling with, both within ourselves and the church groups we worked with.
The leadership at the camp places the utmost emphasis on training well-qualified staff. Staff training consisted of two weeks of morning and evening sessions learning foundational doctrine, with afternoons of learning how to safely operate on-campus and off-campus recreational activities. It was a lot of hard work, but it created a strong community of devoted counselors who were devoted to the same goal of the growth of the campers to come.
Snowbird provides a different experience than any other Christian camp. Their organization provides everything for a group to come and be ministered to. The energetic and sincere worship team begins every morning and evening session, after which the full-time staff teaches scriptural messages to challenge any believer. Outside of the meetings there are breakout sessions for more specific topics for both campers and youth leaders. Outside of meetings and during rec activities the staff are there for individual interaction and direction. I don't know of another camp like Snowbird where you can just bring your group and be served in this way.
Outside of the spiritual growth at the camp, there is a full gamut of fun activities from staff skits, to paintball, to white water rafting. More activities are added each summer.
On-campus: climbing wall (indoor/outdoor), 3-man swing, zip-line, water slide, foam pit, goliath swing, pole jump, paintball, clay pigeon shooting, disc golf, bow and arrow.
SKATEPARK including: miniramp, hubba with rails, pyramid with ledge/rail, high bank, quarterpipe, free standing rails and manual pad
Off-campus: rapelling, hiking, caving, whitewater rafting (Ocoee and Nantahala), wakeboarding, canoeing, horseback riding, mountain biking and puddle jumping.
I loved my experience at Snowbird and highly recommend it to any youth group, as well as any one who wants to invest themselves in a summer of fun and spiritual growth that they will relish for a lifetime. The friends and experiences you gain at Snowbird will stay with you forever.

I went to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters when I was 16, 17, and 18. It was the best times of my life to spend a week in the wilderness making an ultimate connection with God and His community. Brody and Kahuna spoke from the Word and the work of Christ was powerful. To make the experience better I think the camp should
-install A/C units for the summer heat
-Create bathrooms up on the Staff Hill
-Mix up the dishes served
-Beautiful the camp
-Purchase new trucks
-Increase pay for staff

Snowbird Outfitters is an amazing place where a misunderstood and neglected group (middle and high school students) are celebrated and loved. The staff at Snowbird is able to love these students because they have been changed by the gospel of Jesus and they want this generation to experience the power of the gospel as well. The Snowbird staff seeks to establish genuine relationships with the campers that are based on honesty and openness.
I was able to spend two summers at Snowbird as a volunteer. I helped run some of the recreation during the week and I was assigned to one of the youth groups each week in order to get to know the students and share with them the love of Christ. There were several weeks where I had such a good connection with some of the students that I kept up with them via e-mail and Facebook long after their time at Snowbird.
There is definitely a distinct culture surrounding the camp - beards, tough guys, in-your-face love - and lots of people go there as volunteers and remain on staff for years. It is like a really big family there. I have rarely seen any organization grow in its popularity and influence in such a short time. It definitely speaks to God's hand at work in that place.

I was a youth minister and I have take my group of middle school and high school students to Snowbird twice. The staff is always organized and ready for our arrival. They are eager to serve us in any way possible. They are well trained and prepared to offer a full week of self-sacrificing, Christ-centered teaching, worship, and just plain fun! Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is honestly one of my favorite places on the planet!!

Snowbird is AMAZING!!!!!!! The rec stuff is probably the best part, but the staff is awsome too!!!!! Its a wonderful place to go and grow closer to God!!!!!

In my experience, the staff at this camp is intensely dedicated to the personal growth in Christ of each attender of its retreats. I have attended several in the last few years, and each time I come away refreshed and challenged in my walk with Christ. I find the passion of the staff impacts me well after the retreat is over.
In addition to the spiritual impact, there is a great emphasis on the recreation. There is an obvious attention to challenge and safety alike, along with diversity.
I heartily recommend retreats at Snowbird and plan to continue to return as long as the Lord allows.
As a grown man who would have easily said "yes I am a Christian" before Snowbird, well after seeing 300 youth worshiping like I have never seen before, God chose to break me, a personal time with The Holy Spirit led to a personal relationship with Jesus which I did not have before this time. This was approx. 9 years ago, God has since grown me to where I am today. Watching Him use this ministry has been one of the greatest joy's in my life thus far. I take my own family there every April to work during a mission week, my two girls 9 and 12 have grown up knowing this place to be holy ground. There are a group of folks that God has called to this place who have surrendered everything for His plan, for His desires and for His children.
The only thing that I have seen that could be negative is that some youth come home and begin to think that Snowbird is the only way of thinking, that their views and believes are the only way. This is situational and just needs to be monitored by pastors and youth workers.
I do thank God for the staff at Snowbird for emptying themselves of anything that does not come from God. For their total submission to His will.
Snowbird is the BEST camp that I have ever attended. I love the way that all the staff are always trying to get to know you, It's hard to feel left out at a camp like this. The services are awesome and the fellowship is great. Snowbird is an all around great camp.

My husband and I have taken our middle school youth group to camp snowbird for three years and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Not only have we seen our students become more unified as a group, we have seen a huge spiritual impact on our youth. The staff at snowbird will do whatever it takes to reach our youth - I've seen them do the crazy skits, then turn around later and talk one of our students through a personal struggle.

I just got home from Snowbird and it was one of the most amazing experieneces of my life. I grew so much closer to God and had a ton of fun at the same time. The staff there is amazing and so is their facilities.
Snowbird is the bomb dot com!!!!!!!!! I attended Snowbird in the summer of 2009 and also i attended 2010. It made my life more in tune with Christ. The two times i attended snowbird God has called me to be involved in mission trips. I can't wait to get involved in spreading the love of Christ this summer! The recreations at Snowbird are indescribably fun! One could attend every summer that they are in High School and not do the same recreation twice! The only thing that I would say that would criticize this place is that some of the messages in the morning made it seem like the speaker was trying to make us feel guilty of our wrong doings when God all ready forgave us. Overall this is an unique experience that I highly recommend youth members going to in the summer!

Snowbird is a non-denominational facility dedicated to helping individuals understand the fulfillment the takes place within by understanding who our creator is and how much he cares about each of us. The staff is trained and organized to provide a warm and safe environment while encouraging people to reach beyond their comfort zone and experience life to its fullest.

My faith has grown in leaps and bounds because of Snowbird. My first experience at this camp was when I was 14, and I continued to come back as a camper for 3 summers before I was able to serve on the servant staff and then summer staff for 2 years. I've watched the camp at it's beginning, we've almost grown together. Every summer I would witness it's growth, but the growth I loved witnessing more than anything was it's ministry growth. I watched hundreds of teenagers discover Christ at their savior and I don't have to be there to know hundreds more will start their faith here because of the ministry this camp provides. Snowbird is beyond unique in the way they incorporate God's creations into their ministry practices and because of the selfless staff. I've never seen harder workers or those more willing to devote every ounce of energy they've got into this ministry! There isn't an organization more deserving of this financial gift than Snowbird. They don't desire to stand above the rest, they simply desire to continue to uniquely serve the purpose they've been called to by ministering to teens in the gorgeous Snowbird mountains.

We became involved with Snowbird soon to be 4 years. GOD called our son and his family to become Missionaries as volunteers at Snowbird this August four years ago, after he took his youth group there that summer. GOD is AWESOME. We have now become donors to Snowbird. We have experienced being on campus during the summer seeing the real thing. This is the real thing. GOD's work is truly in this place. Everyone should experience the campus. We are making plans now to go the the fall
Couples Retreat. This is a lifetime decision for our Youth and GOD surely shows that this is one of the greatest places to reach out to our Youth. Youth is what our future is and Thank You to Snowbird for making such an impact on them and leading them.

I am a student pastor in Columbia SC and I have been taken students to summer camp for the past 9 years. Four years ago I was bored with the same old camp experience we have had in the past so I set out to find a better experience and I found Snowbird! This summer will be my fifth summer in a row at SWO and my students are counting down the days. The experience you get at SWO are beyond words. You need to experience it for yourself.
I was immediately impressed from the moment I arrived at SWO. The counselors attack vans with enthusiasm and help campers load their rooms. They get to know names and fun facts about every individual at the first step on campus. The breakout session leaders are so knowledgeable. They offer all sorts of activities: paint ball, horseback riding, tubing, rafting, ropes courses, etc. They have healthy meals. The camp is very giving. The workers all live off of the meals and lodging of the camp and do not have extra money or possessions. The workers are all their to make the campers' experiences one of a kind. They are not their to be self-serving or to be successful business people. I was so glad to see what SWO does for the community it serves.

My God is an awesome God. Snowbird has showed me this in many ways that other camps haven't. They don't care if your a Baptist or Methodist or even Atheist, They show you love in a Christ like way. It's a camp that will push you to your limits, physically and mentally and spiritually. The staff is HIGHLY trained to handle anything that the world or the devil or crying teenagers, has to throw at them. If you were to ask me what, Snowbird, has done for me, I couldn't put it in words. Snowbird, Simply saved my life. I would not be the person I am today with out their teachings, spiritual guidance, and their amazing staff that our such amazing role models. I love Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters, because you can tell they love their God.

I have been to Swo for the past 5 summers and it has been such a blessing to my life. The leadership is outstanding and they are able to keep an amazing staff to camper ratio allowing for incredible connections and fantastic relationships to be built. The program as a whole is well organized while relaxed enough to help people feel comfortable.

I brought the youth at my church to camp at Snowbird Outfitters. I was blessed by the ministry that this camp provides from worship, to teaching to the high adventure activities provided for the youth.
Snowbird Wilderness OUtfitters gives students the opportunity to decide what and who they believe in and why they do so. The staff clearly presents the gospel then asks probing questions so that students have to respond with personal and scriptural answers. not depending upon the answers fo their peers, teachers, or parents.
I am a youth pastor & i have taken our high school students to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters for 11 years now. The reason I do, is due to the incredible hearts of the Snowbird staff for the lives of students. I have seen hundreds of teens have their lives changed for the better; desiring to live for God, say no to drugs & alcohol, honor & obey their parents, be kind to their siblings & to others, & to begin blessing their communities. Out of all the places that I have taken teens, Snowbird has brought about real LIFE CHANGE in our students, Not to mention how it has helped our adult leaders as well as myself to be better leaders and family members. I can't say enough about the incredible positive impact that Snowbird has had in the life of our ministry to students year after year!
For two summers we were able to take our youth from church to SWO. The whole experience was by far more than we expected. From the moment we drove on Snowbird grounds we were greeted by crazed staff that had the love of the Lord and a passion for teenagers that shown through everything that they did. Our youth were challenged by them to live Christ through everything that they do. The kids were fed The Word, entertained by skits and listened to praise and worship songs that lifted them from their seats. The recreation events were by far an experience that our youth could not get anywhere else. We were saddened to go but, we left with new friendships and a challenge to live like they do, with a greater passion for our Lord Jesus Christ!

i have attended Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters for 4 consecutive years. Every year, my relationship with my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, has grown stronger through the extremely accurate teachings of steve coleman and brody holloway, along with the multitude of people whom God has called to serve as camp counselors. This camp uses every given second to test and strengthen your faith and relationship with Christ. The day's schedule is packed full with worship services, breakout sessions, and intense activities. I have never recieved a negative comment about this camp. God is truly intertwined in this effort. Each of the couselors there take a personal interest in the students life. and even keep in touch once you are gone. the passion is real. one camp leader that has influenced me personally the most in Rocky Maybre. (Zach maybre's wife) she has a testimony very similar to my own and after talking to her, i feel so much more confident in myself. every heart at that camp is God driven and are essential in helping shape the hearts of our youth that are yearning for a deeper love in Christ jesus. thank you.

I have been to Snowbird as a camper, volunteering on servant team and on summer staff and God has radically changed my life through this place. The full time staff is passionate about the Gospel and are intentional with discipling other believers to be bold in their faith and passionately chase after Christ. Not to mention that the recreation is great, and the campus at Snowbird is absolutely beautiful. The Holy Spirit has truly anointed this place and I am confident that God will continue to change lives here for a really long time.

Extreme! The students are always excited when Snowbird Outfitters (SWO) is described as Extreme. But that isn't just a description...it's a way of life!! Extreme quality, Extreme standards, Extreme activities. SWO is an incredible, life-changing experience which helps students grow friendships, grow confidence and grow morals. Snowbird is the ultimate combination of ruggedness and comfort. Students return year after year because they find an acceptance there that is rare in every day life. You'll absolutely love every thing about this camp!

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is an absolutely awesome place. Not only is it any outdoor enthusiast's dream come true but the spiritual growth that takes place there far exceeds any other "church camp" out there. At SWO, campers are welcomed with very open arms by the staff. Throughout the week, students play hard, eat extremely well, and are hard core discipled. Before campers ever arrive the staff are praying for them by name; they really care about their kids. God is moving so strongly through the wonderful people there it's hard to reject the gospel.

We were introduced to Snowbird Outfitters by a former youth pastor. The way he described it was awesome teaching, amazing activities, one of a kind staffers, and a chance for teens to get close to God as never before. As an experienced youth volunteer, I was skeptical to say the least. Well after my oldest son went and came home describing the time and praising God as never before, I had to see for myself. I attended as a chaperone the next year and can say first hand that SWO is the most amazing camp I've ever been attended. The counselors build relationships with the kids that has them wanting to stay intouch even after going home. And the ratio of campers to counselors is so that chaperones can step back and let the kids experience it on their own. The speakers are straight forward and very real with the kids, they talk about relevant topics without being preachy or condescending to the teens. When the week is over, the kids have experienced outdoor, extreme activities and at the same time grown closer with and encountered God in a new way, sometime without even realizing it. I would recommend Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters to any youth group in the country, and they also offer mission opportunities for groups as well.

For the past 8 years I have watched people of all ages come and go as they experience Christian camp at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters in Andrews, N.C. It has been my observation as a mom of a staff member there that no one is ever quite the same after experiencing SWO. Usually SWO's impact claififies the direction one should take and maturity gets a powerful jump start. My son signed on to work at SWO as a camp counselor and stayed on after the summer to become a permanent staff member. The experiences he encountered at SWO for the next several years provided the context that moulded and shaped him into the man of God he is today. A man who along with his wife, who also served at SWO, is now preparing for the foreign mission field.
The day before i came to snowbird I over dosed on pain killers, and reached a point of repentance for the first time in my life. Snowbird was an amazing experience for me. The solid and fundamental truth of the gospel which is taught there is exactly what is needed to be heard by new believers, and even the strongest in the faith. However, the most influential factor in snowbird is the one-on-one connection that is shared between counselors and students. Relational ministry is the best form of ministry, and is almost perfected at camp snowbird.
Review from Guidestar
snowbird is one of the best youth ministry programs in the country. having grown up with a youth pastor as a father, then working in youth ministry ive seen tons of camps, conferences, and youth revivals, ive never seen a place where students get this one on one discipleship. ive watched students in my youth group, and the youth group i pastored grow. they're simply awesome.
SWO is really a one of a kind place where people can come and have fun with activities outdoors such as a climbing tower, 3 man swing, and zip line. during the summer there are many off campus water recs like white water rafting and canoeing. But the biggest part of the ministry at Snowbird is relating to the students, connecting with them on a spiritual level to challenge and encourage growth and maturity in Christ.
Review from Guidestar
This camp is by far the best summer camp for youth there is. It not only provides them with exciting outdoor recreations such as rafting, hiking, canoeing, and much, much more, but it also does exactly what its purpose is, providing them with the gospel. The staff is completely saturated in the Word and do not stray from it in any way. They have a strict hiring process for their summer staff that requires the future staff member to have a great knowledge of what they believe and why they believe it. Hundreds of youth come through asking the tough questions, and they want them to be able to answer them biblically. The camp preachers preach the Bible, and they do it very well. Every youth I have ever asked about this camp is extremely satisfied and cannot wait to go back next year. Our church has been going for about 10 years now, and we would not go anywhere else. Not because we're scared to try anything else, but because we know nowhere else can equal the greatness of this camp.
I was a counselor for Snowbird for several years and I grew to understand myself and the Lord from my time there. The heart of the ministry is bent towards loving and serving people and the Lord. Not only that but to experience life in a completely different way, It is a place that makes you realize the magnitude of life and helps you to learn how to live in a more intimate setting with the Lord and with other people. Snowbird is just all around amazing!

Snowbird is an awesome camp. It is not only very spritual but also has fun physical activities. I was a camper there first in 2009 and have gone every year since. I will be going this year. Even if you are not christian when you go to swo you cannot help but be impacted God while you are there. There are plenty of counselers there that can help you in any way. They have great phyisical activites including white water rafting. This place is always a positive influence to myself and any of my friends i know that have gone there. The price is sensible. This camp is always what I look forward to. The familar leader, activites, and sermons; never fail to lift me up. The food is good and the atmosphere seams nearly perfect. The prayer house is my favorite part even though it is high on a mountain. The senery is beautiful. Every part of this camp seams bathed in prayer and with God's precense. Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters is definitely the best place ever!!!!!!!!!

Working at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters was an experience that will probably effect the rest of my life. It is rare to find a place that has so many unified, loving, self-sacrificial people working together to serve in whatever way God leads. The first summer I worked I remember being blown away at how much time and effort the full-time staff gave to the summer staff. They set and example that caused me pour myself out in the same capacity to the students whom I served.
I was a camp counselor and river guide at Snowbird. I saw first hand the positive influence the camp had on the lives of teenagers. I personally recall conversations with teenagers who we're struggling with issues in their home lives, with family, or just at a very low point. They we're able to express what was going on with staff and get wise counsel on how to help them through the circumstances they we're going through. Snowbird is a very consistent place. Consistency in leadership, on their mission as a camp, and their reputation and presence in the community in which their apart. I remember telling people out in town when we went to eat I worked at Snowbird and people had many stories of how staff had done many great things for them over the year.
I attended a sumer retreat here when I was a teenager and it was awesome, everyone at the camp was awesome and super friendly. They do a great job of spreading the word of god while keeping kids totally occupied without really fun outdoor activities.
Snowbird was one of the greatest experiences of my life. In many ways, I can say that it has changed my life for the better by introducing me to great Christian friends and the life changing truths of the Gospel. With great physical activity like mountain biking, kayaking, and white water rafting it was incredibly fun, but the music and council that was provided was also extraordinary. My life was forever changed by the guys and girls who work there and I pray that they continue to change lives by their devotion to the Word of God and service to each teen that walks on the grounds.
I went to snowbird several times during the summer for camp with First Baptist Roanoke throughout my middle and high school years, and every summer that I went snowbird had an awesome impact on my life. The Godly examples of all the staff as well as the wealth of knowledge poured into you will impact you for the rest of your life. Truly a life changing camp, I will forever love snowbird and all the great memories and life changing events that go along with it.

I am writing this review in reference to what an inspirational blessing Snowbird Outfitters has been to my granddaughter.
She attends camp there with her church group. She equates her mission trip with SnowBird as one of the best experiences of her life because it gave her the opportunity to help people and also share the love of God with them. She says it is an amazing thought that she has helped a stranger and maybe changed their llife completely with a simple act of kindness.
All of this was made possible to her by Snowbird Outfitters. They have been very beneficial in helping her with her spiritual growth.
She loves it there and can't wait to get back there this summer.
We as her grandparents are blessed so very much by Snowbird's influnce in her life.
May they continue to keep up the good work of being such positive influnces in the lives of all the young people who are priviliaged to attend their camps.

As a Youth Leader for at least the past 11 years I have chaperoned a group of teenagers to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters for summer camp. This camp is amazing. It has it all, excitement, enthusiasm, wonderful spiritual teaching, counselor to student ratio is wonderful, the relationships that develop between counselors and students is remarkable and the follow up after returning home is incredible. It is obvious that all staff and summer counselors are very well trained and that God is in the center of their lives. I have participated in regular camp and missions camp. I would highly recommend this camp to anyone who wants to take your students to a camp that will be lots and lots of fun, challenging both spiritually and physically, and will definitely change the lives of both your students and chaperons.

I worked at Snowbird Wilderness outfitters for five weeks last summer. I was on the Servant Team program, which is the program they have for high school seniors and juniors. Basically, my job was to do maintenance around camp. I took out the trash and did yard work for most of my time there. Unlike the regular staff, I was not paid anything further than room and board (I got a few bonuses and gifts, but I don't count those as earned wages).
I won't say that I got to know the camp any better than any of the rest of the staff, in fact my short term of service probably means I don't know it as well as the other staff do. But my position was best for getting an overall view of the camp. Because Servant Team doesn't directly interact with the campers, and we aren't assigned to specific churches, we are always looking at the camp as a whole. To indulge in metaphor, whereas the job of the other staff is to see and nurture the trees, we see the forest, continually.
To continue in that line, if SWO is a forest, it's a national treasure. Before I worked there, I was a camper there for two years. I, both as an Eagle Scout and a person that's been to several church camps, have never had an experience that was anything like SWO. The whole difference is the staff. Because they hire so many staff, each staff member is free and motivated to give his/her whole attention to a small group of campers. When the staff are working, they live first for Jesus, then for their campers. The staff take the time to truly get to know their campers, and they really care about them. I've heard so many stories about young people with dreadful secrets (pregnancy, abortion, drug/alcohol addiction, cutting, etc.) who tell absolutely no one, until they come to SWO. They feel so loved by the staff, that they'll pour themselves out to the staff member, and the staff member can then help them begin the healing process.
I could go on, and on, and on, about the good things about SWO.
My generation's greatest weakness is its apathy. My generation has ceased to believe in both Jesus and adventure. SWO shows them than Jesus is real, and he is the Master of Adventure. Church is not stained-glass and pews, church is Jesus. And Jesus is an adventurer. SWO does an excellent job of bringing back passion in a generation that has forgotten what the word means, and giving it direction using sound biblical teaching. Young people are more likely to come away from SWO with their lives changed by the real, permanent, work of the Holy Spirit, than anywhere else I know of.
The teachings are sound, and the teachers are talented and qualified.
My experience is not vast, but it is not negligible either, when it comes to camps. If there was some constructive feedback I could give, I would give it. But everywhere I go now, I compare it to SWO, and while some camps do things better, and others do things worse, all-around, SWO is the best, or at least my personal favorite. God is at work there, and God has an excellent record of return on investment.
All in all, SWO is an organization that I support with all of my heart, and they soundly deserve the money.
They staff of snowbird are second to none. They love God with all their hearts. As soon as you get to the camp you feel something awesome. Anyone that goes to snowbird will be changed. I know i've been four times. The activites are fun, but the thing I love is the worship services are the greatest.

Snowbird is the most unique and amazing camp I have ever been to. It is a wonderful blend of outdoor adventure and learning about Jesus. The staff represents the love of Christ as they genuinely care for campers and want to see them grow. Brody Holloway has been blessed with a gift of sharing the gospel clearly and boldly. In the summer I spent there I saw God work in amazing ways and peoples live changed including my own. It is the most fun week of camp you will ever have!

I was first introduced to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters AKA SWO in 2007 I believe and I have been hooked ever since. The staff is composed completely of Godly men and women who are fully devoted to seeing youth come to Christ and to spread the name of Jesus everywhere. I attended summer camp there either 4 or 5 times and have participated in botht he regular summer camp and the OLDschool program. OLDschool by far was my favorite because I'm madly in love with anything outdoors. However, the regular summer camp is the exact same thing minus the hiking and sleeping in a tent every night. SWO is definitely somewhere every youth pastor or youth leader should consider taking their youth.

I am as it shows above a Board Member and have been since 2001. I am and have also been a volunteer at the camp since 2001. I have given my testamony there, Baptised there, Preached there and I have grown closer to my Lord Jesus Christ there. Everything that I do there I do for the Youth who attend camp, but somehow God grows me while I try to grow others. I don't know if that will make sence to you but every skit, talk, activity or fellowship I help with I feel that I am the one receiving God's Blessing. I have grown closer to the Lord there, friends whom I have taken to SWO have grown closer to the Lord there, My Grandaughter prayed the Prayer of Salvation after visiting and seeing skits which she could understand at 10 years old there. It is not just a youth camp, it is a place where people of all ages can go and not help but be drawn closer to the lord, because everyone there is trying to share the Love of Jesus to every one who comes to SWO.

Snowbird is by far the greatest camp for students and leaders alike. The camp challenges you spiritually and physically, which to me is a good reason why the camp produces such great reviews from youth pastors and their students.

I went to SWO for the past two and summers i was fed spiritually more in those two weeks than i hhad been in almost a year. The teachings of Brody and Kahuna (steve) are so in depth they bring out sides of things that you would have never thought about. All of the recs that they offer are extremely fun and they are things that you cant just do anytime so it makes it very special. The leaders that they bring on in the summer time are amazing they all care about each individual so much and they pour themselves out into you so that you can grow in Christ. Over all SWO is an amazing place to be.

I remember looking into my rear view mirror as I drove away thinking “great summer, probably won’t be back…” I had dreams of playing music and traveling the world. At that moment I could not see how much God had changed me and how different my life would be after that summer: the summer of 2001.
Without knowing it, I had awakened to the deepest relationship with Christ I had ever known. I experienced community and unity within the body unlike any other season of my life. Trying to jump back into normal college life after that was like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. It just did not work. Things were different. I was different. I craved the intimate community God had given me over the past 3 months. Not because it was a cool experience, but because we, together, EXPERIENCED GOD!
Through a strange turn of events God brought me back to Snowbird in May of 2003. My heart leaped and my spirit soared! I was shocked God was moving me back to Snowbird so quickly. I was able to share in music with students as well as oversee the booking responsibilities in those early days.
I have served at Snowbird for over a decade, now. My role has changed a lot over the years. Now that I am married and have small children, I am unable to be as “hands on” involved in the ministry as I once was. However, it is not the recreation that keeps my husband and I here. It is not the food, the lodging or crazy schedule. It’s Jesus. He is at work! He is changing the lives of students, leaders and our staff. He is healing, growing and launching people out of this ministry to share the gospel around the world. Jesus is changing lives at Snowbird… I am humbled to be a part of it!

Snowbird Outfitters has consistently and faithfully stayed true to its mission over the years. I have known of and been in support of the ministry since it first began in my town. The passion for sharing Christ without compromise to kids from all over the country (and the world) has only grown over the years. From this organization former campers and staff are going out across the world. This is an organization that means what it says and does it!
