Don't be fooled by this organization and their phone sales pitch! Take a look at the 990 and see where the money is going before contributing. In 2009, they awarded just three grants totaling $43,000 to bonafide US breast cancer services. The remaining $millions went overseas (supposedly) to unnamed organizations or services in Africa and elsewhere. Really? If you care about breast cancer, do yourself (and those suffering with the disease) a favor and support the Susan G. Komen Foundation. But don't take my word for it: Check out their 990 for yourself. Once you familiarize yourself with how it's laid out, it's super easy to read and very informative!
