The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
December 15, 2009

I have been volunterring with the LDS church for 35 years in emergency response to national and international disasters, in addition to working in local food bank prgram sponsored by their store houses. Tremendous help in hundreds of millions of dollars, worldwide as well as in kind goods! Over 23,000 congregations worldwide with 13 million members stand ready to assist. DC

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

in local, national response in floods, hurricanes, and tsunami disasters.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

do all I could to encourage other community members to join in the LDS volunteering activities, no matter what the initiate was.

More feedback

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the wonderful spirit of the people in their volunteer organizations.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

local church members, even leaders, Bishops, Stake Presidents, full-time Missionaries are non-paid volunteers

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

provide additional services to feed the poor, provide wheel chairs for the lame, assure sight to infants, develop clean water sources for villages, and provide medical care to infants and children in rural areas of developing nations.

Ways to make it better...

if I had been able to take more time in my volunteering, which was cut short by my business schedule.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

getting the good word out to other community volunteers...the LDS members are humble, and understated

One thing I'd also say is that...

this has been the best expereince of my life... and I have volunteered in many initiatives...

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009
