Review for Farm Animal Reform Movement Inc, Bethesda, MD, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I am very proud to be a member of FARM's Board. With a relatively small staff, the group is doing a tremendous amount in educating people about the abuses of animals on factory farms and the many benefits of veganism. Through vidoes that they pay individuals a dollar to watch, letters to editors that are published in newspapers throughout the US, and a wide variety of other programs, they are having a major impact in getting people to move toward plant-based diets. Especially important to me is thair work pointing out that shifts away from animal-based agriculture and diets are essential in efforts to avert a climate catastrophe and other environmental disasters.

Review for Canfei Nesharim, Roseland, NJ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As editor of the Jewish Vegetarians of North America newsletter, I often include items relating Jewish teachings to environmental threats. I have found Canfei Nesharim's material very valuable for this. I often read their divrei Torah related to the weekly Torah readings and their valuable holiday material. Their material on Ti B'Shvat has been helpful as I prepare for annual Tu B'Shvat seders.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

they have very well-researched material relating Judaism to current environmental threats and they have valuable suggestions to help people work toward a sustainable planet.
