Review for Bichon Furkids Rescue, La Costa, CA, USA
Bichon Furkids has done a phenomenal job in rescuing hundreds, if not over a thousand already. Their plan is simple, place "unadoptable dogs" in homes with volunteers where their real personality comes out, evaluate them, and then match them with the right family.
One must consider that shelters are not a good place for dogs to be evaluated. You can have an otherwise gentle and sweet natured dog become "vicious" in a shelter when they smell death all around them. 99% of these dogs thrive in home situations and become gentle members of their adopted families.

I have kept two dogs that were rescued from a shelter and deemed "ferocious" and "vicious." Both of these dogs are angels with my babies and have been wonderful members of the family. Of course, they were properly rehabilitated and trained, which is the responsibility of any responsible pet owner.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Review for Foundation For a Smokefree America, Playa del Rey, CA, USA
This organization's work affects not only the future, in preventing kids from starting to smoke, but also the present in helping people quit the cigarette habit. The Foundation for a Smokefree America doesn't just help the teens in this country, but it also has an impact worldwide, which is important as our country becomes more globally oriented.
I have donated to this organization in the past and wholeheartedly believe in their effective programs and how they allocate their donations to provide the most impact for the money.
Patrick Reynolds is a charismatic and engaging speaker that can easily reach kids of all ages with his healthy message.

Seeing children have "ah-ha" moments, and also seeing them be motivated to help the adults in their family quit as well.

None. They are a model organization, in my mind.
