Review for North American Pet Pig Association Inc, Gilbert, AZ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

NAPPA has raised funds and helped many individuals and groups with pig issues over the 20+ years they've been in existence. Whether it be financial help or advice given, NAPPA comes through. If they don't know the answer to a question, they search out the answer. Thank you, NAPPA, for your many kindnesses over the years. A lot of pigs are alive today because of your efforts.

For more years than I can remember, NAPPA has been waiting in the wings when help was needed with various projects with which I've been involved. Most recently, and ongoing now, is financial help involving the rescue of farm pigs, with NAPPA offering help toward medical and transport expenses incurred in getting them to their new homes. We have been so grateful for their help, as they have really been a cushion in these difficult financial times when other funds are rightfully headed for disaster relief. Thank you, NAPPA, for helping quietly with so many pig related projects. We are grateful.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

grow larger and help more animals.

NAPPA is a great organization, offering help in many different areas related to pet pigs, large or small. They are the "go to" organization when help or direction is needed. NAPPA is an older, well established organization that's going to be around for the long haul. I give them a 10 thumbs up!

Review for Forgotten Angels Rescue & Education Center Inc., Royalton, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I've known Lana and her good work long before Forgotten Angels was born, and all the way she has put needy animals (not just pigs) at the front of her priorities. This is a great organization...one that knows how to accomplish what needs to be done. Thank you, FAREC, for being who and what you are. You are greatly appreciated.

FAREC continues to be a lifeline for animals in need. I've had interaction with them for many years now, and in that time they've never failed to be of immense assistance. Kudos to FAREC.

Over the years the pig community has viewed FAREC as the "go to" organization when help is needed in rehoming and transporting pigs. They have the knowledge and connections to get things done in all matters of the pet pig. With these folks at the helm, our beloved pigs are at much less risk of disaster befalling them. We'd surely accomplish much less if we didn't have their help, kindness and concern.

Don't know...am amazed at how much they take on now. So much is behind the scenes stuff, and not apparent to the average user of their services.

Review for Darlynns Darlins Inc, Polk City, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Darlynn's Darlins has suffered many catastrophes in the last few years (fires, floods, etc.) and still has managed to keep its head above water. These tragedies, one of which would have closed a weaker sanctuary, just seems to have made Darlynn's Darlins stronger and more resilient. Despite the adversities, they have managed to take excellent care of their charges, and advocate for the welfare of pigs everywhere. Please help them get noticed.

FAREC is the "go-to" group when help is needed. Lana at FAREC has been working for the benefit of animals for a long time, and if she can't help directly, she knows who can. We operate a small private sanctuary and depend upon FAREC in many aspects, from transport matters, placement, fundraising. You name it...it gets done! We owe FAREC a debt of gratitude.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

We've indeed experienced the results of FAREC's efforts. Lana of FAREC has an amazing list of contacts, and can solicit volunteers to step in and help with a myriad of problems that exisit. We live in NY, but FAREC has arranged the transport of animals both to and from us...all done by volunteers with funds raised from mostly the "Pig Community".

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

FAREC is a small group of highly effective folks who get things done. Sometimes larger isn't better, but there is no doubt but what more funding would be of immeasurable benefit. If more folks knew the extent of what gets accomplished through FAREC, there would certainly be more help forthcoming.

Role:  Donor & We've directly received help from FAREC in transport, fundraising and placement of animals. FAREC works very well with other groups.
