I have known Lana and others in this terrific group for 20 years. This nonprofit has, and will continue to do, a professional and personal service for a lot of potbelly pigs and other precious animals who have been thrown away through one means or another. They do it all with love in their hearts for each animal they work with. The group is dedicated to providing almost every service available to the animals that come in... from arranging spaying and neutering to transporting to other locations. Congratulations to everyone involved in Forgotten Angels Rescue, they are earning stars in their crowns for the excellent job they are doing.

I took in a foster pig thinking I was going to have it for a very long time. This charity helped move the pig here and found a home for her in only a couple of weeks. It was a pleasure working with them and I would do it again in a heart beat.

Lana helped us to raise the funds to have our beloved Miss Piggy put out of her misery due to a tumor. we had been watching her posts for another pig to rescue and found her thru Lana. Arrangements were made and we went and picked up our new pot belly pig Princess Precious and are enjoying her more each day. Had it not been for Lana and her hard work Miss Piggy would have suffered needlessly and we would not have found Precious.

FAREC continues to be a lifeline for animals in need. I've had interaction with them for many years now, and in that time they've never failed to be of immense assistance. Kudos to FAREC.

Over the years the pig community has viewed FAREC as the "go to" organization when help is needed in rehoming and transporting pigs. They have the knowledge and connections to get things done in all matters of the pet pig. With these folks at the helm, our beloved pigs are at much less risk of disaster befalling them. We'd surely accomplish much less if we didn't have their help, kindness and concern.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Don't know...am amazed at how much they take on now. So much is behind the scenes stuff, and not apparent to the average user of their services.

FAREC is the "go-to" group when help is needed. Lana at FAREC has been working for the benefit of animals for a long time, and if she can't help directly, she knows who can. We operate a small private sanctuary and depend upon FAREC in many aspects, from transport matters, placement, fundraising. You name it...it gets done! We owe FAREC a debt of gratitude.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

We've indeed experienced the results of FAREC's efforts. Lana of FAREC has an amazing list of contacts, and can solicit volunteers to step in and help with a myriad of problems that exisit. We live in NY, but FAREC has arranged the transport of animals both to and from us...all done by volunteers with funds raised from mostly the "Pig Community".

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

FAREC is a small group of highly effective folks who get things done. Sometimes larger isn't better, but there is no doubt but what more funding would be of immeasurable benefit. If more folks knew the extent of what gets accomplished through FAREC, there would certainly be more help forthcoming.

I have known of the work of the founders of FAREC since 1997 when I got my first potbellied pig (who is now 18 years old), and joined the Internet community for companion pigs. I've been a donor to FAREC for many years now. They are highly responsible in their work rescuing potbellied pigs and other animals, and they deserve recognition and support for their tireless and successful efforts. I am in awe of the network they have helped create and fundraising they do to help animals get rescued from sometimes ghastly circumstances, get spay/neutered, and find/transported to new homes. I am truly in awe of their work.

You ever meet people who care only for the safety and wellbeing of the animals they save? This is that group. There are no words to describe the length that they go. If people would treat people like this we'd have a perfect world. I'm proud to say I am friends with this group!!!

This rescue operates in a sustainable manner, giving every animal the space and care it needs...but what impresses me most is hte continued outreach and time spent saving animals elsewhere in the country by acting as a facilitiator for transport, spay, fostering, and finding "forever homes" for animals that would otherwise suffer terrible fates.
