ONE SIMPLE WISH
April 13, 2011

One Simple Wish is a salt of the earth organization. You know exactly who you are helping and exactly where your time and money goes. I was a Board Member for a couple years and met many children and families we were helping. Meeting them, going online and reading their stories, seeing how their simple wishes really made a difference was and is truly inspiring. The website is easy to navigate, and the cause is easy to promote because it effects every person living in this community. Helping others gives people hope, goals, perspective - and that makes for better neighbors, a better environment to live and a safer, happier place to raise a family.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Watching the girls try on prom dresses donated during prom season is an awesome, happy time. Watching children get to run out on field during a baseball game and meet the players. Seeing a child get to spend more time with their parents during an outing. Seeing them explore their creative side by helping them afford art classes etc...

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

fundraising is hard, and for any non-profit that will always be one of the toughest parts. You need people's support and money to keep it afloat. MY ROLE:
Board Member & AS a Board Member we came up with ideas on how to make it the best non-profit we could, how to grow the organization, spread the word, raise funds, awareness, and educate the community on the Foster Care System and the children and families in need. I gr.
