Oak Crest Institute of Science
March 12, 2011

One of Oak Crest's greatest strengths is that it's a very supportive place for students from all levels to interact with experienced scientists and gain experience and confidence in doing research. This is very important, since from what I understand, Oak Crest does a lot of work with local high school and community college students who may not have previously considered a research career and don't have a lot of contacts in academia. I know that I benefited a lot from working closely with a mentor who was as interested in my personal and professional development as he was in producing good research.

I worked here in 2003 while I was still an undergraduate, and am now halfway through graduate school in the same field (chemistry). Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

This question is hard for me to answer since the organization has probably changed a lot since I last worked here!
