Review for Philadelphia Songwriters Project, Ardmore, PA, USA
The Philadelphia Songwriters Project has been a dynamic and impactful force on the landscape of the Philadelphia area music community for many years. They have hosted educational events, networking events, instructional events, performance events, showcase events, charity events...... So many people have benefited from their work.
They have welcomed individuals with varying levels of musical intelligence and experience, of varying ages, from all musical genres. They have provided a forum for members of these communities to share their knowledge and create stronger communities.
The arts have suffered terribly in recent years, and this organization has been no exception. They do good work, with great integrity and respect for the art and the artists.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
This organization developed a program whereby songwriter's songs were arranged and performed by choirs. This was a ground-breaking event for everyone involved. It was educational for the choirs, the writers, and the audience in that everyone experienced how one genre of music could be performed in another. One of my songs was chosen for this event, and I consider myself quite blessed for the experience.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
It is hard to make suggestions of this kind with the knowledge that there are severe budgetary restraints. In a perfect world, this organization would have an office and performance space, be open for business 7 days a week, and would host events that are both genre specific and multi-genre several times a month.
