The Martin County Community Foundation has provided so many opportunities for citizens in our community, with their small grants program. Many students are going on to get a higher education, small busineses are getting a boost to improve their services, and some to get started. I think it would be hard to estimate the tremendous impact the Foundation has had in Martin County, I would hate to go back to the days before the Foundation was formed, when outside help was nonexistant.

I've know both Directors, Dan Gregory, and now Jason Jones, seeing the dediction they have to this Foundation, and their promotion of the Foundation to the public. We are lucky to have such fine people in this organization.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
When this Foundation was being formed the Martin County Chamber of Commerce donated $5000.00. The money was used to set up an office . Now that the foundation is stable, it would be nice if the start up monies could be returned, or that amount transfered into an account that earned interest and can be added to by donations, so that the economically strapped Chamber could start getting a few dollars to manage their progarms.
