Review for The Samfund, Boston, MA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Being a cancer survivor at the age of 25 is not exactly an expected event on the path to adulthood and independence. The SAMFund is there to not only help with all the unexpected financial burdens that come with cancer, but they are also there to provide understanding and support in a sometimes very lonely journey. I can't fully express the importance of the SAMFund's work in such a short narrative, but I can say that they are an amazing organization and I can never thank them enough for everything they have done and continue to do for myself and other young adult survivors!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

all the stories of the people they have helped-myself included. Young adult cancer survivors are a forgotten group. But the SAMFund has taken us on as their mission to raise awareness and offer support.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

not do nearly as good a job as Samantha and her crew! I am happy to do my part by spreading the word and my praises of the SAMFund!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

feeling part of a community and knowing the SAMFund wants to help me move on and continue to be successful.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

nothing short of amazing. They are completely dedicated to this organization and the people it serves.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help all the young adult cancer survivors in the country, and I know that is the ultimate dream of the organization. It stinks that young cancer survivors had to go through the things they did, but thank God for the SAMFund!

Ways to make it better...

I had never had cancer in the first place. But because I can't change that fact, I am so happy I found the SAMFUnd and can't say enough about all they do.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the current state of the economy and lack of awareness for the cause. That is why I am happy to tell my story in support!!

One thing I'd also say is that...

I love the SAMFund and will always be forever thankful!

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
