Review for Shanti Project, San Francisco, CA, USA
Shanti has been in my life for 4 years now. The level of concern and listening skills way surpassed my expectations. I've been a regular to the drop in on Thursday evenings which helped get me out of the house and into a positive and sharing environment. I've taken the L.I.F.E. course and changed bits and pieces of my health and behavior. (A good thing for me).
The staff has been so nice, loving, and caring. I grieve that this will not be around forever and hope that $ comes in to keep the programs alive.
What I'm really trying to say is... " Thanks to Shanti and everyone involved for helping me in my time of need" ..
Thanks so much

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
The fact that I'm eating better and feeling better than I have in a long while. With Shanti, I've come out of my hiding and share "me" with the world.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would introduce this organization to more neighborhoods and keep the love and caring flowing.

I can't help but be thankful for all the support that SHANTI has given me and other people who have had issues with HIV+... Since I've attended the SHANTI L.I.F.E. work group, I've been more careful to take better care of myself (hopefully living better and happier). With the SHANTI group, I've also felt that I had a place to go when I've felt like a recluse. I've met so many good people THERE with hearts that hug. (my favorite) .. THANK YOU SHANTI!

my community and how important we all are in communicating our needs and helping others in the same place. Shanti has been very effective in helping me get out and share myself with others. Thank you SHANTI
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
be on every corner
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The wonderful and loving people there. I could write a book (but won't)
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
ALWAYS, ALWAYS considerate and understanding. Privacy, positive health practices, and a strong bond is what I've gotten from the staff.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Further help the community in teaching safe practices to help self image, safe sex, unity in life, and support where needed. Shanti has been a big plus in my life.
Ways to make it better...
there was more people out there to help out with the demanding needs of the HIV+ community.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
keeping the organization going and the community safe.
