Review for Island Coast Aids Network Inc, Fort Myers, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Island Coast Aids Network (ICAN) is one of the most effective and efficient non-profits we work with at Promotional Incentives. Through the organization's creativity, diligence and political persistence, it continues to come up with creative solutions to a growing need for education, increasing awareness and innovative ways to raise funds. ICAN events are fun, lively, different and great sources of revenue. ICAN is a community non-profit activist whose employees and volunteers go above and beyond to help people in southwest Florida. I recommend them for donations, volunteering, education and any other way you can help!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the creative approach to fund raising and educational awareness.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I wouldn't even attempt to try...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Working with the staff and volunteers.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Enthusiastic, energetic, persistent and passionate

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

cure AIDS

Ways to make it better...

I could do more business with ICAN

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Lack of awareness of the scope of their help and outreach. Decreased funding from public and private sources. The stigma attached to the AIDS virus.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Carolyn Moore is a dynamic, talented and committed leader who attracts volunteers and staff of similar character.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  Volunteer & We have helped ICAN in many ways from donating a car and other items for their constituents, to helping with reduced costs and creative ideas on incentives and fundraisers, to donating T-shirts for the AIDS Walk.
