Review for Hugs Project Incorporated, Oklahoma City, OK, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Hugs Project is an awesome group of really friendly, wonderful people - all working together for a common goal - to let our fine young people serving in Afghanistan and Iraq know how much we support and appreciate all that they do - (the fact that we have so much fun and laughter why doing so shouldn't count, but it does!) It is amazing to me to watch, when I volunteer each week, everyone pitch in, figure out as an all volunteer what/how needs doing and "get 'er done." Awesome!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

by reading the thank you letters and emails that come from the men and women serving over there. They are so grateful for the smallest of things - wish we could "Hug" them all.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

find a way to attract a volunteer who was proficient in fund raising. We are 100% volunteer - even our founder/leader takes no salary and local businesses are very generous with food stuffs but we are in constant need of funds to pay for the shipping of the packages. (before volunteering, I thought packages to war zones were shipped free - boy was I wrong!)

Would you volunteer for this group again?

Definitely
