Review for National Junior Tennis League of Indianapolis Inc, Indianapolis, IN, USA
My son was introduced to NJTL through friends when he was in grade school. He enjoyed the sport, and more importantly the instructors made it fun. When he didnt have a ride to the park he would ride his bike. It is a wonderful program, affordable and accessible. My son has always been active in sports, from baseball to scoccer to basketball. This program inspired his love of tennis. He also was an instructor at NJTL himself in the summers. The kids loved him because of his enthusiasm for the sport. He has that same enthusiasm today. He went on to play in high school and college, and is currently employed in the tennis world. I attended an auction recently and sat at a table with the Arthur Ashe Art Contest winner and her mother. She was an adorable little girl that played for NJTL at her local park. She said she had fun learning tennis, being active and meeting new friends.
From the mother of a son who was fortunate enough to participate in NJTL, I say THANK YOU!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the direction my son's life took. As a child very active in sports, his introduction to tennis through NJTL is what gave him the love of the sport. Althought he played many sports throughout his childhood and was naturally athletic, it was and still is tennis, that became his favorite.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
find other ways to promote NJTL in a bigger way, get the word out to schools, daycares, after-school programs sooner and continuously. If they call the park, is it on the voice recording? Can you get the gym teachers at local schools to pass out fliers in gym class. Can you get yourself invited to different schools for a day and introduce the grade schoolers to tennis? Possibly, a hands-on approach with someone from NJTL assisting the teacher with instruction at all the gym classes for a day.
