I have been on the Board of Directors, have been a volunteer and have been Chair of Fundraising. As a volunteer I have planted flower bulbs, I have raked leaves, I have transported to doctor and dentist appointments, hair appointments, to and from dialysis sessions and have done house cleaning and grocery shopping for elderly or disabled persons in our community. The appreciation from these folks is special. They explain that these things we do for them allow them to stay out of assisted living or nursing home facilities. The services we provide free of charge allow them to remain independent.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
...having my two daughters become volunteers as teenagers. I believe it has helped shape them into two caring, sharing, concerned adults. Sure, they both initially complained about "having to do this", but they would each come home after volunteering, and would tell the family how it had touched her to be able to help someone who had no family around to do the little things. It made them appreciate all that they had while growing up.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Find a way to get the numerous stories out to the public of how Faith in Action Caregivers has helped and is helping thousands of people in our community. Find a way to inspire more to donate their time and their money.
