Room to Read is a non-profit organization that enhances literacy and gender equality in the developing world. 85 cents of every dollar goes to those who benefit from it most. In 10 years they had established 1000 schools, 10 000 libraries, and supported 10,000 girls on long term scholarships.

Seeing how many children they impact. Do far they have impacted the lives of 4 miiion children ( in ten years). They hope to impact the lives of 15 million children by 2015.

Do nothing differently. It is an efficient, effective organizaiton.
Role: Volunteer & I recently travelled to Nepal and saw a school with a Room to Read library. It was an oasis of learning in an otherwise bleak teaching situation. It reconfirmed my commitment to this organization. This is one of the best non-profits you could be a part o.
