I have attended numerous free events at the park. They are great for families and individuals alike. The park definitely helps bring people to a downtown area that needs it to continue its revitalization. They have a number of services that are good for the body and mind that are free and otherwise wouldn't be accessible to some lesser-privileged Houstonians. It is a lovely space and a great addition to our community.
