I helped take care of the regular animals while the principal caretakers were involved with the oiled birds rescued from the BP oil spill, and I found the sanctuary to be well-organized, clean, and compassionale. Having someone who will take on this demanding role is a tremendous benefit to the people and the animals of a community.

Seeing the animals that were rehabilitated, as well as the ones that died inspite of their efforts.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Increase the number of people who volunteer and donate. While I see no value in rehabilitating exotics like starlings and pigeons, I don't want to be the person who kills them!

Volunteer & I fed, watered, and cleaned animals and their cages.
