ALZHEIMERS ART QUILT INITIATIVE

I lost my mother, aunt and a dear friend to Alzheimer’s disease. It was so difficult to stand by helpless to do anything beyond making them as comfortable as possible. I discovered Ami Simms’s Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative in 2007 and felt that I had found a way to fight back. I feel good working for this cause, knowing that all the proceeds go to Alzheimer’s research with no overhead expenses taken out.

I doubt that a cure for Alzheimer's will be found in time to help my generation. It is my hope and prayer that a cure will come in time to save my children and grandchildren from this dreaded disease.

I would like too find a way to spread the word faster and get more people involved.
Volunteer & I have made 78 AAQI quilts to date, with many more to come.
