Review for Cancer Schmancer Foundation, Reston, VA, USA
hi, my name is valerie and im 14 years old. The only time i have heard about cancer in my family was my grandmother. My dad's mom had ovarian cancer. she had 5 kids and a husband. My dad was the youngest of the kids and a very hardworking kid as well. That was great because they were poor. Living in the city it was hard. they got through it though. My grandmother fought with cancer for a little while. I don't know the full story. All I know is that she struggled. She was in a great deal of pain all the time. She was in her early 50's if not 50 when she died. My dad was only 19. He went to a little college before that but dropped out because she needed all the support she could get. Now my dad married my mom a little after that and had me. I'm the oldest of 5. I wish i knew my grandmother because she sounded great. I never met my grandfather either. I'm so greatful for the Cancer Schmancer Movement because i know they are helping people to detect cancer when it is most curable. STAGE 1 IS THE CURE! Now my greatest hero is Fran Drescher. When i look at her I think that that tiny body is helping millions. thanks fran! you are truly my hero and my role model!
