The Children's Peace Mobile came to our church & community fall festival. My children still talk about the games they played to learn peace and conflict resolution. The Children's Peace Center knows children and their need for interaction. Each game was carefully planned to help them experience problem solving, cooperation and team work. I saw firsthand how children respond to their curriculum and well-planned activities. My children LOVED the game where they had to arrange tubes on a board so that a ball could fall through correctly. It takes many tries to find the right path and it also takes team cooperation/problem-solving skills.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

At the BE $WISE camp, each child had to apply for a checking account and manage their money. Every purchase had to be recorded into their checkbook. I watched as each child understood for the first time that when the money ran out of their checkbook, it was gone. They learned credit cards give you more debt, not more $. They learned the importance of opening a saving account. Each child also made a bank that had 3 sections: Save, Spend and Share. Both of my kids still use their banks.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

allow for more time for each child in the PEACE Mobile. My kids loved it, but wanted more time to keep learning.

Client Served & The Peace Center also put on a week long summer camp called Be $ Wise. I had the opportunity to volunteer at their camp and my daughter was a camper. They set up a town with a bank, grocery store, clothing store, pharmacy, etc. .
