My Nonprofit Reviews

Kudos to the Natural Capital Institute for one of its most recent projects: WiserEarth (www.wiserearth.org). Wiser, IMO, is the ultimate actualization of NCI's mission: it is a vibrant international community over 100,000 nonprofits, united in the goal of restoring and sustaining the earth and its diverse and global culture. Remember that famous line in "Field of Dreams:" "Build it and they will come."? Well, it's happening now at WiserEarth, as more and more progressive and innovative thinkers engage in the socially conscious business of sustainability. I am a volunteer editor at Wiser and consider this the most important work of my life. Thanks, NCI, for helping me find my bliss!
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the ability of its platform to connect members to similar groups and organizations and thus promote activism and collaboration in local, regional and international events.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
ask Ashton Kusner to lend me his Twitter account for a day or two.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the people I have met, the passion and excitement they share, the hope they generate....
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
probably some of the most fabulous people I have ever met. No egos, just hard collaboration. Every voice is heard, respected and welcome!
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
buy the New York Times, fire the editorial board and most of the writers, hire regional writers, publish in multiple languages on hemp and 'beam up' copies to destinations around the world!
Ways to make it better...
people were not so overwhelmed with nonstop solicitations from other organizations and networks ... because we're the best and we're doing something no one else is.... if we had an enormous soapbox!!!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
How to shut down the incessant chatter and media over saturation to showcase our work
One thing I'd also say is that...
Join WiserEarth NOW (www.wiserearth.org)...start working and support the Natural Capital Institute!
