Jubilee Park & Community Center
November 29, 2010

My experience with the Jubilee Center has shown me that I can be an educator towards the young children that will soon be the future of accountants, construction workers, teachers, etc. Jubilee has provided the exercise for me mentally to focus on constructive teaching and behavior modifacation towards children. The Jubilee Center is a tree that branches off and helps families and the community and many different ways. For example, school supplies for children, after school well placed meals to keep their young minds and bodies energized after a long day of school. The Jubilee Center also helps the community out economically with utilities. This also includes the childrens families that attend the Center.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Selfawareness. I am aware that I can educate children. I do not have children of my on but the capacity of students I work with is a big role that I once was skeptic about.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

If I had to make changes to the Jubilee Center it would be to constantly inspect the inside and outside walls for crayon graffiti, and skid marks made by sneakers. Also to inspect the play ground area for damaged swings and chains that would be of any threat to injury. Also to check for drug paraphernalia such as marijuana bags and obscene material such as condom waste, because children play in the park.

MY ROLE:
Board Member & I helped with volunteering at the State Fair of Texas-Feast of Sharing I also helped cutivate a feild that the Jubilee Center has in the community to help beautify the city and make it a better place instead of of it being desolate.
