Since 2006, I have been a donor, family mentor volunteer and I also contract with HCDBM as their Development Consultant. This Ministry has helped me become closer to the Lord God though my hands on experience with the HCDBM mission. HCDBM helps those who are in poverty and crisis with one to one family mentoring. Each client is provided with a relationship with a volunteer family mentor who brings provisions to each family in the form of food, clothing, household goods. Most importantly HCDBM Family Mentors bring a loving, patient relationship that provides hope and faith that brings the family up and out of poverty and into self sustainability.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
that I was a family mentor for two years and assisted five families become self sustaining. As a family mentor, I was the resource for families in crisis and poverty by bringing them HCDBM resources as I also connected them to community and church assistance. This brought me into the lives of the families I served and made them my friends. I have been able to see their children thrive as the family became able to stand on their own.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
provide them with a larger facility with all the needed staff, warehouse space and volunteer training space so that HCDBM can provide assistance to more people in need. This is a wonderful Ministry that needs to grow because the need is growing daily.

Donor & I have been a family mentor that provided one to one assistance to a family in need every two weeks. .
