My Nonprofit Reviews

colony queen
Review for Hiss & Spit Inc, Kingston, NY, USA
I wanted to say that it has been easier for me to address the issue of TNR (Trap/neuter/Return) in my community because of this organization. My main concern is for the welfare of the feral and forgotten cats. This organization has enabled me to take some of these cats to their vet at no cost to me. One cat was so sick he looked as if he was 14 years old; after a Hiss & Spit intervention, this cat looks like a healthy 5 year old. Since there is always someone who is willing to help me -- I implore the organization to continue improving the quality of life for the cats that are in the alleyways and subway tunnels in my neighborhood. Hopefully, since it is cold, donations of clean blankets will be made to make sure they are warm. Hopefully, concerned people will donate water bowls and litter pans. I am Colony Queen, I am one person who spends a lot of time trapping, neutering/spaying, taking ferals to be vetted and maintaining a few colonies. I am busy rescuing those kittens that can be adopted out and helping people who need resource information, education and hands on help with their strays and ferals. Ms. Jolene/Unlikely (and God knows who else you impersonate) there are some people out there working hard thanks to the direction and assistance of Hiss & Spit. Hiss & Spit is not just one volunteer that you obviously despise and I hope you are eventually penalized for posting false charges. Your desire to be the top post is a clear indication that you have a personal and not an ethical issue. Caring for the aniimals would lead to a more productive way of addressing the issue or issues you claim should result in the shut down of a classy organization like Hiss & Spit. I think that is the best that I can ask and hope for at this point.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would not make any changes (maybe remove the volunteer who is causing the negative reviews to H&S).
