Energy Outreach Colorado
November 16, 2010
Energy Outreach Colorado performed much needed weatherization and energy related upgrades to our property that serves in excess of 2,000 low-income individuals each year. Their work will create cost savings for the tenants who occupy the building and will allow seven organizations to devote more resources to important program delivery.
One of the most significant things that Energy Outreach Colorado helped achieve was to install new windows in an early childhood learning center where the children previously had to endure cold temperatures beccause the windows would ice up (on the inside). The new windows have made a tremendous difference in the comfort of these children (all under age 5), and the energy upgrades will help with the overall efficiency of the way the building operates which creates a better working environment for the tenants and a better place for their clients.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the work performed at our property has created a better working environment. Our tenants (nonprofit organizations) are happier and are more aware of ways to save energy. If they are happy, my job is easier.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
The only feedback I can provide regarding ways to strengthen the program is to improve the time it takes to finalize the scope of work and schedule / complete the work. The process from start to finish took one year.
Overall, regardless of the time frame, the end result is great! And we very much appreciate the opportunity to participate in the program. Thank you Energy Outreach Colorado....and many thanks to Heather Gullen for her patience with my many questions and inquiries.
Client Served & I submitted the application requesting support, and along with our asset manager, I helped coordinate efforts with tenants and managed the communication process. I was the key contact with Energy Outreach Colorado. .
