Review for Rio Grande Cancer Foundation, El Paso, TX, USA
I have served on many non-profit boards in the past and none has brought me as much joy as the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation. It is a pleasure to serve on a board that GIVES.....never takes, but only gives to its community. This organization provides a spectrum of services to individuals living with cancer - from transportation, to direct medical care and, perhaps one of my favorites, art therapy to children battling cancer from a stellar organization called Creative Kids. The RGCF has an unparalleled reputation in the El Paso community and that is mostly due to the phenomenal staff. Patty Tiscareno and her staff are dedicated, selfless and committed to the cause. I feel so very fortunate to be associated with this orgaization!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing friends with cancer receive support from the RGCF - whether in the form of wigs for female friends undegoing chemo for breast cancer, in receiving cancer screening mammograms and pap smears free of charge, or friends and acquaintances learning more about their disease and becoming empowered to become involved in their recovery by attending our annual "Keep on Dancing" workshop.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
endow it with more money so that it could market its good works to more clients and make itself known to everyone in the El Paso community!
