Maximum Accessible Housing of Ohio
October 18, 2010
MAHO is unique in Cleveland because of their focus on universally accessible housing for people with mobility disabilities. In addition to owning and operating five communities, MAHO is in the midst of a successful capital campaign to build a sixth facility in the heart of University Circle. New Circle Vistas will be a state of the art building with universal accessibility design and energy efficiency measures built in from the ground up. Visit www.mahohio.org for more information on the accessibility planning for New Circle Vistas.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
In 2 years of Board service, I have seen MAHO grow into the responsibility of a multi-million dollar capital campaign and construction planning process. This is a very dedicated group of people who take very seriously the role of leadership and advocacy for universal accessibility housing.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
find a way to keep building new facilities to satisfy the MAHO mission and the demand in the Greater Cleveland area for accessible housing.
