Review for Pineda Foundation, Berkeley, CA, USA

Rating: 4 stars

As a young person with a disability, it was rewarding and inspiring to work with such a dynamic and dedicated group of people. Working with the Pineda Foundation was an eye opening experience. I was able to learn about human rights, and advocacy efforts on behalf of people with disabilities.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

education and outreach, increasing self-esteem and professional skills of young people with disabilities.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

help strengthen its operating and outreach efforts and include social marketing strategies that utilize Twitter and Facebook more effectively.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

working with the President, Victor Pineda

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

generous, patient, kind and passionate...

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

change the way young people with disabilities lived in a handful of cities across the USA and the Middle East.

Ways to make it better...

there was a bit more guidance and more structure in the work.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the size of the problem and the limited capacity of the team. Additionally, finding a suitable way to realize all the amazing opportunities that still lay before the group.

One thing I'd also say is that...

This organization is small but powerful and I feel that in the years to them it will only continue to make an impact on the people who come into contact with it.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010
