Review for Relationships Under Construction, Delaware, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I began my journey with RUC in 2006. I didn't know what to expect. I had never heard of abstinence teaching. After a few training sessions, I began to do presentations in classrooms and found that I loved what this organization was doing. I was able to share part of my own story that related to what could happen if sex was introduced into a relationship to early. Contrary to critics findings, abstinence teaching does make a difference in students lives. Many of them express appreciation for our time and honesty in presenting them with facts that they can use to make their own decisions. I am so glad to be a part of what this organization does!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have the privilege of being a part of the behind the scenes aspect of RUC as well as being on the front line. I see direct results in the classroom and the lasting results when returning to a school year after year.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Expand the areas where RUC is presented. I would like to see this material all over the world. People need to hear this message!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The difference it makes in students lives

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Real, hardworking

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Change lives, save lives, make lives better! It works! I've seen it work! People have nothing but good things to say about what RUC does. Teachers LOVE the message that is brought into their classrooms and invite RUC back year after year.

Ways to make it better...

I could have gone into more classes

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

lack of funds available

One thing I'd also say is that...

What better use of money than to give hope to children and their families by showing them that there is a better way to live life. They don't have to give into peer pressure and it's OK to be a person of integrity. It begins with them.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Former staff & Went into classrooms and presented RUC material.
