Mayan families impressed me by giving our group many options through difficult circumstances beyond their control. While we didn't get to perform the tasks we had planned prior to our trip due to an extremely rainy week. They were able to shift gears as seamlessly as possible in a country such as Guatemala and find ways to put our large group (over 30) of volunteers to work in a vital area everyday.
