My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for RedRover, Sacramento, CA, USA
It was my first deployment for United Animal Nations. I did not know what to expect. What I found was an extremely well organized, well run temporary animal shelter housing over 300 small breed dogs rescued from a puppy mill in North Carolina. All the volunteers were friendly, informative, helpful, and busy! Not too busy, though, to take a break from whatever they were doing to visit with, walk, cuddle, or play with dogs throughout the work day. The hours were long and it is challenging, but everyone was upbeat and excited about the good work that was going on. United Animal Nations is comprised of people who are passionate about what they do and it is contagious! Great organization! Great cause!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Goldsboro, North Carolina puppy mill rescue.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
find a way for them to do more advertising of their classes, their deployments and results of the work they do, just overall more awareness of their existence and their successes.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the sense of camaraderie and satisfaction from working with a great group of people on a cause we all felt strongly about.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
self-motivated, focused, dedicated, flexible.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
continue on with its work, but on a much larger scale and to make a dent in the resolution of animal suffering. Educate the public to make a dent in the degree of ignorance that contributes to animal suffering.
Ways to make it better...
I was not limited by my own physical restraints.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
acquiring funding.
One thing I'd also say is that...
UAN is a GREAT NONPROFIT!
