Review for SHARE Self-Help for Women with Breast or Ovarian Cancers, Inc., New York, NY, USA
I was diagnosed in 1996 and found Share through friends. It was a lifesaver in so many ways. Telephone volunteers gave me support and information about how to proceed, and allowed me to feel I was not alone. I participated in an ongoing support group after my surgery and then returned for groups on reconstruction and lectures on new treatments offerred by nationally known figures in the field. It is truly a wonderful organization doing a tremendous public service for its clients on a shoestring budget.
