Review for Ceres Community Project, Sebastopol, CA, USA
The Ceres Project people are fantastic! I'm a sixty two year old woman with a form of cancer of the bone marrow. Normally I cook for myself and my husband but standing on my feet long enough to prepare meals is agony. Recently I had to go through 4 weeks of radiation treatments and the Ceres Project brought me wonderful, healthy, cooked meals that were so delicious I actually wanted to eat them even though my appetite was mostly gone. What makes it even more special is that these great meals are prepared by local teenagers who are helping people like me everyday. They are all the kindest and most caring people you could meet. I enthusiastically recommend them to any cancer patient living at home and needing assistance. Sincerely, Morning Glory Zell

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Helping me have a much better quality of life, in spite of my illness.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Help them raise enough money to expand their kitchen facilities and aid in their outreach. They currently have many more clients on their waiting list than they can serve.
Ways to make it better...
I only wish that they could help people for a longer period of time.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
At this point the need for their service has vastly outstripped their facilities. They need funds to acquire a larger kitchen and more staff.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Ceres is the Roman Goddess of the harvest, our word for cereal comes from that. She would be very proud of the work these people are doing in her name.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
