Review for Women Employed, Chicago, IL, USA
Working in a male dominated industry throughout my career, as well as being a single mom, I readily understand the challenges and obstacles women encounter to balance work and family life. As such, I wanted to become a mentor and advocate for women, especially when it comes to advancement and education. As I got involved with Women Employed, it quickly became clear to me, that this organization was one of great breadth and history. For over 35 years, Women Employed has been dedicated towards improving the economic opportunities for women, through advocacy and partnership helping make change in laws, policy and increased training and education. Most recently, focusing their efforts on enabling low-income women to advance to better jobs and opportunities through education, training and career development; Women Employed continues to provide real results and make a difference in women lives for the better.
