Review for Gramatan Village Inc, Bronxville, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Gramatan Village made it easy for me to settle in when I moved to Bronxville--instantly, I was able to join a stimulating book club and lunch with congenial fellow members and supporters at local restaurants. A few years later we started a movie club, and there have been many stimulating programs offered online. I also appreciate the benefits of a full membership--not only volunteer drivers and "techy teens" who help us seniors navigate the digital world, but also, in the midst of the pandemic, Gramatan Village found me a volunteer to remove my broken printer from my apartment and drive it up to Valhalla to be recycled. It's a wonderful support system, and one of the chief benefits of living in Bronxville. Joan Marlow Golan

Review for Gramatan Village Inc, Bronxville, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Gramatan Village does a great job keeping seniors connected to each other in enjoyable ways like book clubs, game days, luncheons and events, and also in providing support services. I very much enjoy the literary book club and poetry group, and have gotten practical help with medical insurance, computers and transportation from Gramatan Village. Both Sherry and Kathryn are gracious, friendly and helpful to all of us, and the volunteers are great too.

Review for SHARE Self-Help for Women with Breast or Ovarian Cancers, Inc., New York, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Share was an invaluable help to me when I had breast cancer and in recovery. The hot line volunteer was so helpful and comforting, the support group exactly what I needed during treatment, and I have greatly appreciated all the auxiliary activities Share sponsored or referred me to (recently a Qi Gong class at St. Vincent's) to ensure my continued health.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

getting the help I needed when diagnosed with breast cancer in 1995 and getting the education (on nutrition, yoga and other actitivities to prevent a recurrence) in all the yars since. Their volunteers are compassionate and helpful.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About once a year
