Review for Womens Global Empowerment Fund, Denver, CO, USA
It's hard to believe that I started volunteering with Women's Global Empowerment Fund more than five years ago! During that time, I have met our amazing Program Director, Bukenya Muusa, and one of our clients, who is planning to run for Ugandan Parliament. The impact of Women's Global is truly inspiring!

Review for Womens Global Empowerment Fund, Denver, CO, USA
I have been involved with Women's Global Empowerment Fund for about three years now. The most memorable experience I have had with the organization was getting to meet one of our clients from Gulu, Uganda. Grace is one of the most inspiring women I have ever had the privilege to meet. Her experience showed me that WGEF provides so much more than microfinance. Through the literacy and leadership development programs women are given the tools they need to be a part of important policy decisions in their country, and are creating lasting change. Women's Global has proven how a nonprofit can have a large and more importantly lasting impact on the world.

Review for Womens Global Empowerment Fund, Denver, CO, USA
I found Women's Global empowerment fund through a classmate. I was interested in pursuing a career in the nonprofit world especially through microfinance. Now, after having been with this organization for only a few short months I am absolutely positive that this is the career I want to pursue. I truly believe that in order to create sustainable and lasting change you have to help people help themselves. Women's Global is doing an incredible thing by helping women gain control over their own destiny through microcredit and literacy programs.

I haven't personally met any of the women whose lives we are changing but just knowing that what I am doing is helping them in such a big way has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
very dedicated to the mission of this organization.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
help over 175,000 in northern Uganda to start their own businesses.
