when I first met Clarissa, she had just started this amazing nonprofit organization that has since grown nation-wide - Pets for Vets helps heal the emotional wounds of military veterans by pairing them with companion animals and service dogs - each is specifically trained to help veterans who have disabilities. Pets for Vets saves shelter dogs, giving them a second chance at life while giving our returning soldiers a second chance at health and happiness. In addition to providing service dogs, Pets for Vets provides dog and cat companions - there are no words to describe the magical healing provided by these connections.

Emerald Chariot has donated over 5,000 new books to preschool children during the last two years - we are a volunteer organization committed to supporting family literacy, fostering leadership and economic development while creating safe communities . All our funds go toward exceptional educational events for children so that books become their friends.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

its ability to engage both children and their parents in the adventures of reading, telling stories and imagining what is possible.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

find a dedicated philanthropist to take over the board! :)

Board Member & Founded Emerald Chariot - adored the kids!.
