Review for Auberle, McKeesport, PA, USA
This organization is top heavy there are a lot of duplicate positons that can be eliminated, this way the organization would be more cost effective. Nepotism runs rampant in this organization, Administrators directly supervise relatives and spouses. The majority of the clientele is of African American desent, but African Americans are not in the top decsion making postions in the organization. This organization does not live up to its mission statement " To strengthen families".

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Working as a front line manager, in charge of 23 residents, and the supervison of 8 full-time staff members
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would put into place a grievance procedure, so administrators could not suspend, or terminate employees because of professional ideologies.

My time spend working with the residents was challenging, exciting and enjoyable. The children respond well to kindness and love.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing kids excel at academics then go on to college.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Change some of the Administrators, some are unqualified to be in their positions and are appointed because of who they know.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
worked and making a difference in the kids life
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
caring and knowledgeable.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
have many more success stories by opening up new inovative programs
Ways to make it better...
The management were more in touch with the staff members, and actually cared about productive staff members instead of giving the illusion like they care.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
The Administrators not being available on the programs to address the needs of residents and staff, this leads to staff turnover.
One thing I'd also say is that...
The Management should reflect the population it serves, one African American in upper Management positon although most of the clients are African American
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every week
