Stageworks Theatre Co
February 21, 2010

Every time I see the words StageWorks and/or Anna Brennen I get excited because I know I am in for a treat. I would not miss one of their performances. We were amazed that the young man at the Preview of Agnes of God had never seen a play and I hope he never misses another play by StageWorks. I never go wrong telling my friends and classmates "don't miss this one, you are in for a treat." Besides entertainment. StageWorks is otherwise involved in the community with the Juvenile Justice Department and the schools working on anger management. So you see this is not just about entertainment. StageWorks is about awareness of issues, values, and current trends.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have seen many plays by StageWorks and come home excited and full of conversation about the play. I share these experiences with my friends, classmates (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) and co-workers. I can hardly wait to see To Kill a Mocking Bird.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

StageWorks provides an opportunity for the Sierra Club's InterCity Outings Foundation to use the previews as a fundraiser. The funds are then used to take underprovided children out into the wilderness: canoeing, horseback riding, swimming, etc.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Open its theater in Channelside. Yeah!

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

MY ROLE:
Client Served & StageWorks produced two plays for me while I was funding raising for the Greater Tampa Chapter of the ACLU of Florida. Anna Brennen selected the Director and players for two plays, Guantanmo and Arrivals. Guantanamo dealt with the prisoners in Guantanamo.
