My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for IBSA, Inc., Topeka, KS, USA
I am a single parent of 2, my son who is 17 and my daughter-20 years old. I recently moved here from Californail and I was having a hard time with my son and daughter. i wanted to expose my kids to a lifestyle less chaotic and a little slower than what we were used to, my kids however did not share my relief and started to rebel. I sought help from everywhere in this town but because of the ages of my children they were left out of the traditional system. I met Lazone and Keith and they met with me and my kids offered them a place to come and study, volunteer making sure that they knew someone in Topeka cared. They even found therapy for my son. I am grateful to them for all they did for me in my time of need
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
I could always count on them to be there for me no matter what the situation was
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Caring and Kind showing ginuine concern for the youth and setting a great example
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Reach out to more people and help more communities be empowered to help themselves
Ways to make it better...
I would have been more committed to the offering
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
money, budget cuts and funding
One thing I'd also say is that...
I hope that this organization continues to be there because my kids just had kids and I am sure that I will take my grandkids
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every six months
