Review for Jobs Ministry Southwest, Inc., Richmond, TX, USA
JWS has offered training that taught me how to navigate the electronic job search, has sent nearly daily updates on jobs, training, and training opportunities to help me find a job. The organization not only offers great trainig, but the networking is amazing! The meetings can provide opportunities to meet recruiters, network for opportunities that may not be published, and provides a very positive environment to job seekers.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
The seminar on super resumes taught me how to take my run-of-the-mill resume and make it show up through a database in order to get in front of a human set of eyes, then how to handle some of the toughest interviewing questions. And I got some tough ones!
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
I have enjoyed the new friendships and the advice of the volunteers. I felt very welcome and that my concerns mattered. I have found a job, then had to leave, and am now looking forward to more meetings!
Ways to make it better...
If I had come prepared with my 30-second interview, I would not have rambled as much. I would like to hear interviewees reminded to drop hand-written thank-you notes to the interviewers. I would like to have the opportunity to check out or buy books.
